DESCRIPTION

2015 marks the 31st year that LMB has coordinated and distributed this comprehensive calendar of Michigan cycling events. Since 1984 the Ride Calendar has been an essential resource for event organizers to promote their rides and charity events and has become the "go-to" resource cyclists use to plan the riding season. Our sincere appreciation also goes out to all of event organizers across the state. We especially want to highlight the 65 events participating in our $1 Per Rider Program in 2015. We are extremely grateful for their generosity. These events donate $1 on behalf of each event participant in support of LMB's efforts to promote bicycling and increase the safety of bicyclists on Michigan roadways. This financial support provides LMB essential funding to advocate for a more bicycle-friendly Michigan. Please look for $1 Per Rider Events highlighted throughout the publication. In addition to supporting our $1 Per Rider partners, we hope you will support us directly by riding with LMB in 2015. LMB Bicycle Tours are the largest single funding source for our education, advocacy, and promotion efforts in support of better bicycling in Michigan. For 28 years LMB has hosted multi-day bicycle tours – from weekend to weeklong fully supported events. In addition to supporting our work at the State Capitol on behalf of all cyclists in Michigan, our tours give riders the opportunity to enjoy Michigan's magnificent scenery, visit unique local communities and businesses and pedal past charming towns, picturesque countryside, and historic Great Lakes lighthouses.
