FROM MIKE BAKER,2015 NACC PRESIDENTWelcome to Cincinnati and the 2015 North American Christian Convention. As you well know, we live in

an age of information overload. In a culture that offers 24 hour news channels, internet access, media on

demand, blogs, tweets, texts, and posts, we are literally bombarded with messages every day. And it is

into this world of constant words that we speak.

Prayerfully this gathering with Christians from all over the world will encourage you to find your voice.

Maybe youre a preacher or youth pastor employed by a church. Maybe youre a faithful witness in the

work place. Maybe youre a missionary far from home. Maybe youre from an older generation that has

carried the banner of Christ for many years. Maybe youre younger and you are still discovering who you

are in Jesus. Whatever the case, all of us who are followers of Jesus are called to speak the good news

    we have found in Jesus.

My prayer is that this week will be a catalytic moment for you as you consider your voice in this world of

constant dialogue. I pray you will be inspired through great preaching. I pray that you will be encouraged

as an old friend or acquaintance speaks into your life over coffee. I pray that a workshop leader will speak

a word of wisdom into your life and ministry. I pray that we will all be convicted to keep speaking even

if it feels like the voices of this world are overwhelmingly louder.

I want to thank you for coming to this years convention. Why? Because it wouldnt be the same without

you. Your presence speaks. Your participation speaks. Your life and ministry speaks. And we are better

for it. We speak is a celebration of the voices of the saints. There are millions all over the world who

share what they have seen and heard because of Jesus death, burial and resurrection. Someday those

talking voices will turn to singing voices as we gather in eternity around the throne of God and the Lamb.

    Until then, we speak.

Who will be the Christian speakers and teachers of the future? They are in your churchs youth group! Help them get the training and encouragement they need through a

national project sponsored by Christian colleges from across the country: THE NEXT GEN PREACHER SEARCH. Last year, over 125 students from 20 states submitted videos to the search, 40 were selected and paired with mentors in ministry serving congregations from California to Florida. They were invited to a free, two-day preaching and teaching workshop led by

Jeff Walling , Trevor DeVage and other effective preachers and professors and some of those teens will be on the NACC stage this week! (You can see

their videos on the Next Gen Preacher Search FACEBOOK page.)

And we are doing it again in 2015! We need more gifted students to seek a calling and consider a career in proclaiming Gods word. Will you help the ones in your youth group to hear that call? The search is open to young men and women in High school or college. Just point them to www.NextGenPreacherSearch.com to

find out how to submit a video. There is no cost and so much to gain!

Will you help us raise up the next generation of young

Christian leaders? For more information go to

    NextGenPreacherSearch.com.
