I am submitting my candidacy for scientific committee of FDI. I am associate professor of 

prosthodontics  in Beheshti University of Tehran. I have started my scientific relations with FDI 

during the time which Dr. Chu was  in charge of continuing education first  in Dubai AEEDC pre 

congress, as a  speaker  to  that event. Since 2007  I am  the president of  Iranian association of 

prosthodontists  and  vice  president  of  Medical  Council  of  Iran  since  2013.  I  am  also  the 

president of Iran Germany Implant Association, one of The FDI affiliate societies since 2012. 

FDI  is an  institution made by people  for people and has tremendous potentials and as  I 

see it is under used specially on the scientific parts. 

We  live  in  a moment of paradigm  change  in  the  society which  goes beyond  the usual 

qualifications. FDI has to be prepared in all scientific areas not only to promote various scientific 

horizons but also as to be used as a platform for scientific references. 

I don’t want  to use  sophisticated words or  sentimental phrases  and  expressions, but  I 

truly see FDI deficient as a scientific platform. Science  is the common  language  for our world 

today, and FDI as  the most  important worldwide organization  in dentistry has  to be  referred 

ideally in all aspects of dentistry or practically at least in the field of oral health and prevention 

in  dentistry.  Journals,  articles,  electronic  journal,  webinars,  a  vibrant  weblog  to  exchange 

scientific  ideas are the  least that should be done  immediately and academics  from all around 

the world should be inspired vastly to publish their articles and researches trough FDI platform. 

Definitely what  I see  from scientific activities of FDI  is positive  in general but as  I  look  to my 

country  as  communicate with my  colleagues  around  the world  I  can  see  the  above  points 

spoken by majority of dentists 

FDI has  to be prepared  to use new generation professionals and  their potentials  in  this 

regard.  Throughout  my  life  I  have  always  carried  and  complete  my  duties  with  complete 

dedication. 

I  hope  by  accepting my  candidacy  FDI will  honor me  the  opportunity  to  serve  in  this 

portion as well.
