Giving and Receiving ... Themes of Reciprocity
This month is when in the United States we celebrate
Thanksgiving or a time for giving thanks and expressing
our gratitude for the gift of life we receive everyday. It
brings to mind the concept of reciprocity or an equal
energy exchange that maintains the balance of giving
and receiving.
Reciprocity is a concept that many believe is similar to
the law of cause and affect meaning what we give,
through our thoughts, words and actions is what we get
back.
This point of view is also reflected in statements
like what goes around, comes around, or as you sew, so
shall you reap.
In our materially driven current reality, there is seemingly a lot in this world that does NOT truly reflect the principle of
reciprocity. For example, there are workers who give the best they have to their work and yet remained underpaid and
underappreciated due to greedy bottom-line business practices that are primarily interested in extracting the most
amount of work for the least amount of pay to further the company profits.
It often seems these "takers" are the ones who are rewarded with more than their fair share of material wealth and
power creating a HUGE imbalance that can be tracked back through history, but
interestingly this hasn't always been the case in every culture or tribal society.
Many native cultures had ways of balancing wealth among tribal members. Evidence of
this is described in Jamie Samms book The Sacred Path Cards especially in the section
on "The Field of Plenty" that is essentially seen as the birth right of everyone.
The understanding here is that there is always more than enough for everyone when
gratitude and appreciation is a featured practiced. In addition to expressing daily gratitude,
these tribal people also took time to express advanced gratitude for all their needs being
met. Jamie Samms describes it this way:
The Field of Plenty is an Iroquois Teaching that has to do with the understanding of
Creation. When Great Mystery created our world everything that would ever exist
was created as ideas in the Thought or Spirit World. This nonphysical plane of
awareness is eternal and can be drawn upon anytime there is a need. The thought-
forms that provide all that is ever needed on the Good Red Road of physical life
exist in eternal readiness inside the Field of Plenty. To call these ideas into
manifestation, one need only come to Great Mystery with a grateful heart which
will bring the needed ideas into physical reality...
2015 November Celestial Timings by Cayelin K Castell www.cayelincastell.com Page 2
... The Native understanding is that there is always enough for everyone when abundance is shared and when
gratitude is given back to the Original Source...
...Since the Vibral Alignment or Harmonic Convergence, in August of 1987, our Elders have seen the Field of
Plenty actually touch the Earth Mother and come to rest like a blanket over her body. In so doing, the Field of
Plenty is now able to provide instant manifestation for all Earth’s Children who call for their needs with gratitude
prior to receiving those blessings...
...Every need in our world can be met when we act upon any good idea that comes into our minds. Every talent
and every role in physical life plays a part that assists the whole in manifesting abundant life...
...The Field of Plenty always has a way putting the needed item into the hands of the person who needs it. The
keys to manifesting what is needed are gratitude and trust, balanced with action. There is no need for scarcity in
the Fifth World. Abundance for all the Children of Earth is manifesting. Thought always precedes form. If ideas of
sharing and equality precede that reality in the hearts of Two-leggeds, the manifestation of physical needs being
met will follow.
This is Great Mystery's promise in creating the Field of Plenty. ~ Jamie Samms
It is not just a practice we are reminded of in the month of Thanksgiving, but rather any time is the perfect time to be
feel and express gratitude. In addition to feeling and expressing heart-felt gratitude for all the many gifts of life you
already have, you might ask yourself if you are living a balanced life of giving and receiving?
Jubilee
The ancient Jewish people had a Jubilee celebration every 49 or 50 years as described in Leviticus. This was a time when
debts were forgiven, prisoners freed and wealth and property redistributed.
Lev. 25: 8-11 And you shall count seven sabbaths of years for yourself, seven times seven years; and the time
of the seven sabbaths of years shall be to you forty-nine years. Then you shall cause the trumpet of the Jubilee
to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement you shall make the trumpet to sound
throughout all your land. And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land
to all its inhabitants.
This fiftieth year is sacred—it is a time of freedom and of celebration when everyone will receive back their
original property, and slaves will return home to their families. ~Leviticus 25:10
2015 November Celestial Timings by Cayelin K Castell www.cayelincastell.com Page 3
Interestingly, many articles are appearing now proclaiming 2015 the year
of Jubilee. However, it has been a long time since the Jubilee has been
properly honored. Many of these articles share opinions about this time,
and it is challenging to sort it all out. This passage is an example siting
2015 and 2016 as the time of the 70th Jubilee:
Fact seven: 70 is a prophetic number. Daniel the prophet spoke of
70 sevens that must be fulfilled in order for redemption to come.
Jeremiah the prophet spoke of 70 years of judgment in which
Israel would be enslaved to Babylon. The enslavement, by the
way, occurred because Israel did not keep the statutes of the Jubilee. The noble class would not let the serfs go
free. Therefore the nobles were enslaved to their worst enemy, Babylon.
I would suggest that the 70th Jubilee is extra significant in that the real estate of the whole planet will be
returned to its original owner, the Creator. 2015 could be the year!
In this time of the Turning of the Ages as we return to and grow our awareness around the power of reciprocity there
has never been a better time to be aware of what you are giving, not to GET - but rather to be in the divine flow and
balance of healthy giving and receiving. There will come a time when those who are primarily “takers” will have to face
the imbalance they have created. In this month of Thanksgiving, you might consider what you have to give, be it time,
money, or other resources that are a way of giving thanks for the many blessings you already have.
November Sky
The Moon passes by Regulus on November 4 catching up to Jupiter on November 6 passing by Mars and passing less
than 2° from Venus on November 7 forming a triangle with Mars.
Then the Moon passes close to the Porrima (the star of prophecy) on November 8 and Spica on November 9.
The Full Moon rises on November 25 and occults Aldebaran early on November 26 visible in the northern United States
and Canada.
Place Disappearance Reappearance
Boston 5:50 am EST 6:25 am EST
Washington DC 5:52 am EST 6:32 am EST
Toronto 5:41 am EST 6:31 am EST
Chicago 4:40 am CST 5:28 am CST
Winnipeg 4:22 am CST 4:19 am CST
Kansas City 4:54 am CST 5:18 am CST
Most Full Moon occultations or not observable, however at +0.9 magnitude Aldebaran is the brightest star the Moon
can ever occult or pass over so it may be possible to see this with a telescope.
The morning sky has one last spectacular conjunction of 2015 between Venus and Mars. And then the line between
Regulus Jupiter and Mars and Venus and Spica is whatever.
Venus and Jupiter Mars are enjoying their best apparition since 2005 with one more notable conjunction between
Venus and Mars on November 2. As November begins Jupiter rises around 3 am followed by Venus and Mars about a
2015 November Celestial Timings by Cayelin K Castell www.cayelincastell.com Page 4
half hour later. Venus and Mars are
moving away from Jupiter, stretching
the line from 6° long to more than 30°
by month’s end when Mars is 20° below
and to the left of Jupiter and Venus is
about 14° to lower left of Mars.
Venus and Mars are visible within 1° of
each other November 2-5. Early
morning on November 3 Venus is just
0.7° SSW and to the lower left of Mars,
and both planets are visible on the
boundary between the constellations of
the Lion and the Virgin Priestess.
Venus (-4.5 magnitude) outshines Mars
(only 1.7 magnitude) by several
hundred times with Mars brightening
from 1.7 magnitude to 1.5 and Venus
dimming from -4.52 to -4.2
magnitude. Remember the lower the
number for magnitude the brighter the
star or planet.
Although Mars is a lot dimmer than Venus, it is closer and brighter than it has been in the last 10 years. Mars reaches
opposition to the Sun on May 22, 2016 and is closest to the Earth on May 30, 2016. Interestingly, Mars will come even
closer to the Earth in July and August of 2018 and will be nearly as big and bright as Mars can be, though by then Mars
will be a couple of degrees further south by declination so it may not seems as big and bright to Earth based observers.
Venus passes 0.4° from 3.6 magnitude star Beta Virginis
(Zavijava 27 Virgo 23) on November 6 and is less than 0.2° from
Eta Virginis (Zaniah 4 Libra 44) on the morning of November 13.
Mars makes his own approach to Eta Virginis on the 21st. The
medieval name for Eta Virginis is Zaniah from the same source
as Zavijava. (see more about Zavijava below)
Zaniah is linked to Astraea or Erigone whose reign was Just and
True. She fled this world when humanity fell into sinful ways.
According to Manilius in his book Astronomica from the 1st
century AD this star is linked with the sacred code that when
attended properly bestows supreme power within the sacred temple of life.
Beta Viriginis is also known as Zavijava originally from "Al Zawiah," meaning the Angle or Corner (Star Lore by Richard
Hinckley Allen) located about 35.6 light-years away from our Sun. Physically, Beta Virginis is larger and more massive
than the Sun. Zavijava is a star close to the ecliptic, so it can be occulted by the Moon and (very rarely) by planets. Venus
will be the next planet to occult Zavijava on August 11, 2069. Some say Zavijava is the star Einstein used during the solar
eclipse of September 21, 1922, to determine the speed of light in space, as this star was close to the Sun.

Venus passes to the upper left of Spica at the end of November shining within 5° of this important star from November
28 to December 2. (see November 29)
Jupiter is brightening from -1.89 to -2.0 magnitude and is moving further into the constellation of the lion visible far
below the lower left of Regulus. By mid-November Jupiter is passing less than 1° South of the fourth magnitude star
Sigma Leonis, a star that marks the hindfoot of the lion. By the end of November, Jupiter is rising after midnight very
near the border of the Lion and the Virgin Priestess.
Saturn begins the month setting less than 90 minutes after the sun. Visible in the SW low on the Horizon about 9° to the
left of Antares, Saturn is disappearing into the afterglow of the setting Sun mid-November catching up to the Sun on
November 30. This means the evening sky is now without any visible planets.
Mercury is reaching its exterior conjunction, or on the far side of the Sun, on November 17 so is too low in the morning
sky to be visible for most of the month unless you have binoculars and are looking about 20 minutes before sunrise
during the first few days of November.
The Taurid meteors run from late October through mid-November in the northern hemisphere. These meteors originate
from the comet 2P/Encke and are visible in both the evening and morning sky, tending to travel slowly across the sky.
This year Sky and Telescope reports a good chance to see really brilliant fireballs with the best time for this to happen
between Halloween and November 10.
10 years ago in 2005 this meteor shower produced such bright meteors it made news around the world. A seventh
magnitude flash was apparently recorded on video hitting the Moon. If this truly happened it is estimated that it
would've made a crater 10 feet wide and about a foot deep. Meteor showers have a way of fooling us so the Taurids
may or may not be spectacular.
November 2015 Daily Celestial Timings (All times given are PDT unless otherwise noted)
November 1, Sunday. All Saints Day AND Daylight Savings Time ends in the USA. Note: Arizona, Hawaii and parts of
Indiana do not go on or off Daylight Time. The shift to Standard time means this month begins with a majority of folks
having to make adjustments in their relationship to time as clocks are turned back one hour.
Where I live in Arizona Daylight Time is NOT observed but it does require adjusting my thinking about my relationship to
other time zones as most other states are shifting their clocks back one hour putting Arizona at the same time as
Mountain Time and an hour later than Pacific Time and now two hours early than Eastern Time. Daylight Savings Time is
an example of how we can manipulate time and the illusion of clock time that becomes our reality based on our
collective agreements around what Time it really is. See More about Time HERE
2015 November Celestial Timings by Cayelin K Castell www.cayelincastell.com Page 7
All Saints Day began as a Roman Catholic observance honoring their Saints who already reside in Heaven. Nov 2 is All
Souls Day reminding souls here to live a holy life and to take time to pray for the souls lost in purgatory. In more ancient
traditions this is a time for honoring the Dead. In Mexico and many parts of the Western United States, Dia de los
Muertos, or the Day of the Dead, dates back at least 3,000 having survived the Spanish Conquistadors attempts over 500
years ago to eradicate this Meso-American tradition.
Many other cultural traditions have also used this seasonal timing when the plants are dying and preparing their seeds
for rebirth to honor and remember the ancestors, those who have died, and all who have come before. It is a time for
celebrating and recognizing the cycle of death as an
important part of the cycle of life.
Mercury enters Scorpio at 11:06 pm giving expression
to the passionate mind. This is a time when you know
you're on track when learning something new,
communicating, or finding some other creative
expression, ignites a sense of passion and excitement. If
what you were thinking about, for creatively expressing
is not charging your batteries then it's time to rethink
what turns you on.
The Moon is passing below Castor and Pollux as it exits
the Sacred Hoop in the morning sky.
November 2, Monday. All Souls Day. The Moon enters
Leo at 7:48 am transmitting the mysteries that have to
do with divine self-love - the kind of self-love that is healthy, radiant, generous and inspiring.
Venus is exactly conjunct Mars (23 Virgo 42) at 5:10 pm having been within 10° of each other since August. This is a
long time for them to be together relatively speaking and symbolizes a happily ever after kind of scenario. See video.
Also worth noting is the Sun (10 Scorpio) is now traveling through the constellation of the Scales, (a.k.a. as Libra) from
about October 31st to November 22nd. This is an example of how the Signs we use to describe the seasons are different
than the constellations even though they have had the same name. This is the main factor causing so much confusion
because a long time ago the difference was forgotten and the seasonal signs were given the same name as the
constellations they occupied. (See article to see what
constellation the Sun was in when you were born).
November 3, Tuesday. Election day in USA. The waning
Moon passes about 5 SSW of the Beehive Cluster (7
Leo) before reaching its exact Last Quarter Phase exact
at 4:24 am at (10 Leo 45). This Moon phase is about
synthesizing the previous cycle in preparation for the
New Moon that will happen on November 11. This is a
time to consider what genuine, healthy self-love really
means as opposed to the kind of self-love that is based in
fear and uncertainty. Self-approval and self-acceptance
are necessary ingredients for experiencing genuine self-love.
2015 November Celestial Timings by Cayelin K Castell www.cayelincastell.com Page 8
If we are not approving of who we are and accepting ourselves as we are now it is difficult to reach the experience of
true self-love. Therefore during this time it may be especially beneficial to review all the ways you do or do NOT love
yourself. What would it take to let go of self-judgment, especially the kind of self-judgment that is in the way of healthy
self-love?
November 4, Wednesday. The Moon is still half full as it passes within 3 degrees of Regulus, the heart star of the lion
entering Virgo around 6:22 pm. This places an emphasis on the sacred pattern that Virgo is here to notice, be a part of,
and help co-create. Now the Regulus is at 0° Virgo since November 2011 the emphasis on the pattern, and this sacred
patterning of life is being influenced by the heartstar of the Lion, providing us with a sense of the importance of self-love
as part of the emerging sacred pattern at this time. What would it take for us to truly love ourselves in ways that
enhance and support the overall patterning of great mystery as relates to our personal and collective lives.
November 5, Thursday. The Sun (13 Scorpio 37) is sextile Pluto (13 Pluto 37)
at 7:58 pm for the second time this year. This time is after Pluto’s station
direct that happened back in September, so is an indicator that Pluto is now
picking up speed in its forward journey. This continues to be about dismantling
the old forms that have defined our reality, so that new more sustainable
forms can find healthy ways of expressing.
November 6, Friday. Mercury (07 Scorpio 04) is trine retrograde Neptune (07
Pisces) at 5:39 am. As Mercury in Scorpio explores the passionate expression
of mind it is contacting the visionary inspiration within the field of all
possibilities where Neptune resides. This is a realm where what we imagine
can become reality if there is enough passion to fuel its fruition. Without
passion leading to inspired, purposeful actions our most cherished visions and
dreams do not have enough energy to manifest no matter how amazing the
vision is.
The waning Moon catches up to Jupiter (17 Virgo 48) at 6:04 am magnifying
and amplifying the Virgo mysteries, including honoring all life as a sacred
expression of the overall pattern continually unfolding through Great Mystery.
If you are up before sunrise you will see the Moon very close to Jupiter in the
eastern sky. Remember the Moon is a transmitter and Jupiter is an amplifier so
together they are magnifying an opportunity to connect with our own sacred
expression, be it through our work, our prayers, our offerings, our meditation etc...
November 7, Saturday. The exact astrological Cross Quarter when the Sun reaches 15 Scorpio is today (a.k.a the
Samhain Cross-Quarter) and the Sun is exactly conjunct the fixed star Zuben Algenubi. Collectively, in the year and in
the turning of the great wheel or 26,000 year cycle, we are in the swing between the worlds and the seasons half way
between the September Equinox and the December Solstice.
The Celts use this time for divination, as this seasonal cycle is a time when the veil between the worlds is thinnest. The
thinning of the veil was thought to assist in looking into the future more easily, and if used wisely, this time could help
consciously set the pattern for the coming year. This was (and is) a time (over the next few days) to go within and seek
guidance from the ancestors.
Today the Sun is also conjunct Zuben Algenubi (15 Scorpio) in the constellation of the Scales marking what is surely an
“in-between the worlds gateway” now that it is aligned with the "in-between the worlds" season of Samhain. Zuben
2015 November Celestial Timings by Cayelin K Castell www.cayelincastell.com Page 9
Algenubi is paired with Zuben Alshamali (19 Scorpio) representing what needs to be balanced within the Scales of justice
and balance. The Sun rises with Zuben Algenubi during the days of the astrological Cross Quarter November 6, 7, and 8
each year suggesting a solar infusion occurs during this seasonal gateway further illuminating the mysteries of these
stars.
The Fixed Star site tells us:
The Scales are the acknowledged symbol of justice, moderation, prudence and balance because their purpose
corresponds precisely with the weighing of actions or activities. When associated with the sword, scales still
symbolize Justice, but in double harness with Truth. On the social level, they are the emblems of administrative
and military duties, those of kingly power and one characteristic, in India, of the Kshatriya caste (warrior caste).
http://www.constellationsofwords.com/Constellations/Libra.html
The waning Moon passes Mars (26 Virgo 44) at 12:24 am and then the Moon passes
Venus (29 Virgo) at 4:47 am. This marks the passage of Venus through the 3rd gate,
giving up her throat chakra vestment. Anyone turning a multiple of 8 (16, 24, 32, 40, 48,
56, 64, 72, 80, 88 etc. between August of 2015 and March 31 of 2017 are in a personal
Venus Return. This Timing is powerful and significant for us all but especially for those
who are in a Venus Return.
If you have yet to take advantage of the Venus Tele-class series that is creating a sacred
container to deepen your experience to reclaim YOUR divine sovereign self you can still
sign-up HERE and connect with the exponential power of the group!
At this gate Inanna must give up the lapis lazuli bead necklace she is wearing around her neck symbolizing the throat
chakra. This chakra is most noted for communication, especially communicating the deepest truth of one’s being, and
inspired creative self-expression.
It is time to ceremonially note any distortions we may have in the area of creative
communication that do not promote truthful creative self-expression and ecstatic joy.
Speaking our truth is only useful when we do so with the intent to create greater
connection.
If someone is standing up to speak their truth and it is coming from a need to be right,
or to be superior over others in some way, or with an intent to hurt or wound another
this ultimately creates greater separation and may not be as true as we think? It is
important to be sure we are communicating with one another for the purpose of
creating honest communication and we are not speaking in ways that blame, shame and ultimately deepen the wounds
or create new ones.
Chanting, singing, verbal prayers, decrees, and affirmations with specific intent are all great ways to ceremonially
participate with this Venus gate. It might also help to go scream on the mountain or into a pillow or some other form of
getting it up and out so if there is any heat or intense emotion connected to what you have to say you have already dealt
with it and can then communicate without the emotional charge.
Committing to learning, or refining, healthy communication with yourself are beneficial practices anytime but most
especially over this next month while Venus is at this gate.

November 8, Sunday. Venus enters Libra at 7:31 am spending time discovering and experiencing new ways of relating
to significant others, especially a beloved other. This is an expression of the feminine that truly desires to be seen for
who she truly is and to be valued for that. In return she is learning how to truly see others and value them for their gifts
and what they bring.
November 9, Monday. The waning Moon passes 4° NNE of Spica (24 Libra)
visible in the morning sky (exact around 8 am) and later enters the
seasonal sign of Scorpio at 8:02 pm. This is a time for noticing what turns
you on, what gets you the most excited, what energizes you?
November 11 is the Scorpio New Moon so this begins a time for planting
the seeds of desire that are aligned with your soul's journey. It can help to
tune into what it is you want to energize at this time near the dark of the
Moon.
The star Spica is a magical star that is activated and amplified whenever the
Moon is near.
November 10, Tuesday. Tomorrow is Diwali or the Festival of Lights - one of
the oldest Hindu festivals taking place each year around the week of the
Scorpio New Moon. This Scorpio New Moon is important as it also honors
the Goddess of Love, Beauty, and Abundance known as Lakshmi.
In India, preparations include deep cleaning of the home as an invitation for
Lakshmi to enter, because they believe Lakshmi will only enter a clean and
nicely decorated home. This just so happens to also coincide with the ending
of the monsoon season when insects and mold are abundant so the process
of deep cleaning, airing out belongings, and freshening up the indoor environment benefits health and well-being
through the winter months.
Mercury (13 Scorpio 30) is sextile Pluto (13 Capricorn 30) at 4:12 am in the degrees of last year’s exact Grand Cross.
Messenger Mercury is bringing to awareness whatever still needs transformative work as we continue to dismantle the
old structures and make room for new more sustainable ways of being. This includes out-moded ways of
communicating, including projecting blame onto others no matter how much they might deserve it. Mercury reminds us
if we are experiencing it we helped to co-create it and we have the power to un-create it. Expecting others to do that for
us is a way of giving away our creative power.
November 11, Wednesday. Martinmas. Happy Veterans Day. 11:11. In Solara's book 11:11
Inside the Doorway from 1992 – we are reminded that the number sequence activation of
11:11 as seen on digital clocks, calendars or addresses etcetera tells us we are on track. As
the title of the book suggests, 11:11 is a doorway or portal accessing higher realms of
awareness and manifestation. Pausing to focus your thoughts on what you desire to bring
forth when you see 11:11 on your clock lets you know your intent is being amplified.
Today is Martinmas also know as a cross-quarter day in Scotland. Martinmas is celebrated
on November 11, also known as the feast day of Saint Martin of Tours born around 316 A.D. Martin was a Roman soldier
whose compassion prompted him to tear his cloak in half with his sword and give half to a beggar. That night Martin
dreamed Jesus was wearing the part of his cloak he had given away.
2015 November Celestial Timings by Cayelin K Castell www.cayelincastell.com Page 11
Next morning upon awakening Martin knew he was being called to serve as a Christian Monk. Remarkably the other half
of Martin's cloak is said to have become a revered relic. In Germany and other places Martinmas celebrations begin at
the eleventh minute of the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.
http://fisheaters.com/customstimeafterpentecost15.html
The Scorpio New Moon (19 Scorpio01) is exact at 9:47 am and is seeding new energy around the mysteries of alive and
ecstatic expressions of life force energy. This passionate intense energy is often feared and repressed, having the effect
of forcing it to find expression through the shadow elements of depression, anxiety, anger and so on. When Scorpio is
honored and allowed a healthy expression intense passion, aliveness, ecstasy and bliss are possible.
This is a time to ask how you might be repressing your natural intensity and passion? And how can you give yourself
permission to explore any repressed or unexpressed feelings that push the edges of your comfort zone? When done in a
healthy way - giving yourself permission to feel your own intensity and passion can be a huge turn on or said another
way can add to exciting, alive and passionate experiences?
November 12, Thursday. The Moon enters Sagittarius at 7:14 am and passes 3° N of Saturn (5 Sagittarius) at 5:47 pm
and the new tiny Crescent Moon may be visible in the evening sky. Saturn is technically leaving the evening sky
tomorrow so it may not be easy to see the New Moon with Saturn. (above Star Map is around 5:45 pm)
Mars enters Libra at 1:41 pm returning to the sign of its current overtone that began in April 2014. This begins the
synthesis of the current Mars cycle now that Mars has gone through a full initiation including a journey into the
underworld. This suggests that Mars has reached a level of maturity and wisdom in regard to the Libra mysteries as they
are expressed through the sacred masculine. The Mars journey began with the North Node and Vesta also in Libra at the
end of 2013 and into 2014.
Venus has already entered Libra and will separate beyond 10° from Mars by November 22. This long dance of Venus
and Mars has been about new ways of relating between the sacred masculine and the sacred feminine.
From the perspective of Mars, having encountered all that stands in the way of experiencing new ways of being in
conscious equal partnership with the feminine it is possible to truly value the gifts that each brings to the relationship as
equally important. The long held and often suppressed deep desire of the collective Libra masculine to experience deep
personal relationship is finding new healthy ways that support the strength of the masculine and the courage it takes to
be vulnerable in a genuine conscious equal relationship with a significant other as well as with others in general.
November 13, Friday. Friday the 13th. Friday is named after Venus in her Norse Goddess incarnation Freya. In ancient
times, Friday the 13th was a day earth-based cultures honored the Goddess staying home from normal work routines to
2015 November Celestial Timings by Cayelin K Castell www.cayelincastell.com Page 12
celebrate her various expressions of love. The historic shift from celebration to dread
around Friday the 13th was helped greatly by religious interests desiring greater control of
the people. Thus, Friday the 13th slowly began to have unlucky connotations so that it
actually became a day that was feared instead of celebrated.
It is time for this to change and to reimagine Friday the 13th as the luckiest of days and to
celebrate the Goddess or Divine Feminine through whatever ways work for you. See article
on What is up with the number 13?
Here are some statements to consider in connection with Divine Feminine Wisdom.
The Goddess knows she is in charge of her destiny through her thoughts, feelings and actions.
She is Magic made Manifest.
She is Courageous, Confident, and Creative.
She lives from Self-Acceptance, Self-Approval and Self-Respect.
The Goddess actively seeks pleasure and sexual expression sourcing her strength and power in her sexuality.
She Owns and Lives her Power and Empowers Others.
The Goddess loves Beauty in all its many forms including the Beauty of who she IS.
The Goddess knows she deserves to not only fully feel all her desires, but she also deserves to experience them as being
magnificently and magically manifested.
The waxing crescent Moon passes about 10° N of Antares (10 Sagittarius) visible low on the western horizon after
sunset. The Moon passes here once each month transmitting the
light codes from this important star marking the heart of the
Scorpion also seen as a doorway to the Golden Gate of Ascension
by the ancients.
Venus (5 Libra 18) is sextile Saturn (5 Sagittarius 18) at 9:12 am
creating support for Venus as she explores new more sustainable
and healthy ways to do conscious equal partnership while still
maintaining a strong sense of her sovereign self. All healthy
relating is based in healthy self-love.
Mercury (18 Scorpio) is sextile Jupiter (18 Virgo) at 10:18 am.
Mercury is traveling to near the Sun to be seen at this time,
though Mercury is being expanded by Jupiter’s influence. This
suggests the passionate mind of Scorpio is being amplified by
Jupiter’s journey through Virgo connecting vision with passion in
regard to whatever sacred work is being done now.
November 14, Saturday. The Moon enters Capricorn at 4:21
pm so will be visible just beyond the exact Galactic Cross tonight.
Whenever the Moon is in Capricorn it's a great time for getting
organized, for catching up on detail oriented work, and for
exploring the forms that will be most effective and sustainable
around what you are trying to achieve.

November 15, Sunday. The Moon is making its monthly round by Pluto (13 Pluto 37)
at 5:37 pm and in recent months has been catching up to Pluto in the 13° range. This is
significant because this is the degrees of the Grand Cross that was exact in April 2014.
The Moon amplifies the intent of Pluto to transmit what is needed to disrupt the old
forms so that new more sustainable and productive forms are not only possible but are
already manifesting now.
November 16, Monday. The Moon enters Aquarius at 11:24 pm transmitting the
mysteries of cutting edge, innovative ways of creating disruption to the old forms so
that new evolutionary and revolutionary ways can find expression. Changing our point
of view or perspective can change our entire reality.
Consider how different the world is today than it was 20 years ago or even 10 years
ago. Taking time to ask thoughtful questions can help to further facilitate and
evolutionary shift in our point of view. Questions beget answers so asking questions is
a great way to gain new insights. Here are some questions that might further inspire
your own inquiry.
What if your point of view is holding you back from the truth of who really are?
What if you are already smarter, kinder, more caring and more capable than you have ever imagined yourself to be?
What if you are already an enlightened being and your purpose is simply to help facilitate this rare time we have been
calling the Turning of the Ages?
November 17, Tuesday. Leonids meteor shower peaks – the best time to see it is between
midnight and morning twilight producing an average of 40 meteors per hour at its peak. The
shower itself has a cyclic peak year every 33 years where hundreds of meteors can be seen
each hour. The last of these occurred in 2001. The shower usually peaks on November 17 &
18, but you may see some meteors from November 13 – 20. The Moon sets around mid-
night leaving dark skies for the meteors. Look for this meteor shower to radiate from the
constellation of the Lion after midnight. A dark location is best for viewing.
Mercury is conjunct the Sun (24 Scorpio 44) at 6:53 am marking the center point of the
pyschopomp phase in Mercury’s cycle where the transformational messenger is off the
world stage (not visible in either the morning or evening sky) and is directly connected to the
source of light and life force energy for planet Earth.
This is a time when our shadow side (all the parts of ourselves we judge as unworthy, scary, and perhaps out of control)
may be stronger in our awareness. What we judge as our “dark side” is part of who we are and an important part of our
human experience. When we are able to incorporate and embrace these shadow aspects of ourselves in balance with
the light or what we judge as the “good side” then we are whole, strong, vital and fully alive.
Integration of these two sides empowers us with strength and the ability to command the direction of our lives and to
have compassion, caring and love in the process. Listening to the messenger within illuminates our path and helps to
direct us toward the fulfillment of our soul’s journey.
November 18, Wednesday. Neptune (07 Pisces 01) stations directed 8:32 am. Once each year Neptune goes retrograde
for about five months. Neptune Station retrograde on June 12 at 09 Pisces 49. That means if you have planets angles are
known between 07 to 10° Pisces, Virgo, Gemini, Sagittarius, and then you are in a Neptune cycle. The station direct of
2015 November Celestial Timings by Cayelin K Castell www.cayelincastell.com Page 14
Neptune signals of a shift in this initiatory process as Neptune has and will be in the stillpoint or station point for several
weeks. For example, Neptune has been at the 7° range since mid-September and stays in the 7° Pisces range until mid-
January.
The Still Point gives us powerful access to the realm of all possibilities, Neptune's favorite place to be. This is a powerful
time for dreaming and imagining what it is we are co-creating with Great Mystery. When connected into the field of all
possibilities it can be challenging to know what to choose. This is an ideal time to let go of what it is we think we want or
should want, and feel into what our heart truly desires.
The Aquarius First Quarter Moon (26 Aquarius 36) is exact at 10:27 pm
illuminating the Aquarian ideals of living freedom - including freedom
from the rules imposed by outside authorities who seek to control, limit
and restrict the human experience. Unique, innovative and ahead of its
time, the Aquarian energies break down old restrictive systems for the
purpose of breaking through to expanded states of awareness that
values innovative technology and revolutionizes consciousness.
This includes a whole new operating system based in cooperation with
each other and the planet. Cooperation nurtures and sustains life
creating win/win/win for all. Competition that is born out of the belief
that humans are competing for limited resources creates win/lose
scenarios that are not sustainable.
Aquarius thinks and perceives from outside of our current accepted
reality accessing a bigger context going beyond the “far out” field of
Quantum Physics to include one of the most advanced technologies
known as Torsion Fields (spin field physics) that are continuing to
revolutionize our world as described by Ed Komarek in his article Our New Civilization Will Be Based on Torsion Field
Technologies that I shared a few years ago:
The greatest impact that torsion field generators may have on our civilization initially would be to make the
environmentally destructive fossil fuels industry obsolete almost overnight. Torsion field generators would
replace expensive polluting fossil fuels with cheap, efficient non-polluting energy and so free up huge economic
resources for the feeding and housing of our ever expanding population. We could end global warming very
quickly. http://www.ufodigest.com/news/0809/torsion-field3.php
November 19, Thursday. The Moon enters Pisces at 4:21 am and catches up to Neptune (7 Pisces 01) at 4:27 pm. This
creates a strong transmission from the archetypal realm of the mystical dreamer who uses imagination as their greatest
creative tool. It is up to us to dream the dreams of a magical reality that may not seem likely now but become more
likely as we continue to dream into them.
A great inspiration for this comes from the 2007 movie Believe in Me. This is a story about a man who in the 1960s is
hired as a High School basketball coach in a small Oklahoma town. Due to politics and economic hardship the young
coach finds himself begrudgingly coaching the Girls Basketball Team, instead of the more prestigious Boys basketball
team because he needed the job.
At first this young coach is greatly disappointed and in despair because he thought the only way he could be a great
coach was to coach boys. He finally accepts his circumstances and finds a willingness to learn from his girls in ways that
2015 November Celestial Timings by Cayelin K Castell www.cayelincastell.com Page 15
inspire the girls’ team, the school, and the entire town. This ultimately leads the girls’ basketball team to go from an
unhappy losing team to winning the state championship. This story is a beautiful reminder to be open and to embrace
what IS showing up as it may fulfill our dreams in ways that we haven’t yet imagined.
November 20, Friday. Mercury enters Sagittarius at 11:44 am traveling through this area of the sky until December 9. This means the area of inquiry for Mercury around communication, cognition and perception are operating through an optimistic lens inspired by the quest for truth and the growth of the self to ever expanding horizons.
This is a style of thinking that is quick - often leaping to conclusions through intuitive impulses. Sometimes these conclusions may need to be revised later. However, what is important to note about Mercury in the fire signs is it operates best through quick, decisive action. In Sagittarius spontaneous decisive action allows for new insights and inspiration to occur in ways that serve the sincere quest for ever expanding truth and meaning. Venus (13 Libra 45) squares Pluto (13 Capricorn 45) at 5:59 pm in the degrees of the April 2014 Grand Cross. Pluto takes us deep into the unconscious areas that are ready to come to light – in this case around the issues of conscious equal partnership with self and others. This is a time for engaging your fears around relating to yourself and others. It can be helpful to ask questions that help to shed light on your inner shadow issues. Here are a few to get you started: Do you blame others for how you feel in relationship to them? Do you feel it is the other person’s fault when a conflict arises? Are you willing to really listen to what others are saying to you? Are you attached to your point of view? Are you convinced you are right and only interested in relating to those who agree with your position? In other words are you willing to give up any need you might have to be right, to be in control? Are you willing to look at how you are showing up when relating to others? Are you willing to go deeper and further than you have ever been before in regard to personal relating even if it is scary?
November 21, Saturday. The Moon enters Aries at 7:12 am transmitting the mysteries of the Warrior/Adventurer who
is courageously and spontaneously learning to be all in for something they believe is just and true. If a Worthy Cause is
illusive, sometimes the best, most useful action is to get yourself out of the way and do something FUN.
When having fun, our vibration is high and the actions we take, the thoughts we think, and words we speak are being
generated from there. Then what gets created from this feeling will also be fun, joyful, and inspired.
2015 November Celestial Timings by Cayelin K Castell www.cayelincastell.com Page 16
November 22, Sunday. The Sun enters Sagittarius 7:26. These are the final synthesizing energies of the current yearly
cycle. Sagittarius synthesizes all the experiences, all the proclamations of truth and meaning, all that feels and is true,
and wisely disregards the rest. This final synthesis is essential to prepare for the new solar cycle that will begin with the
December Solstice.
The Moon occults Uranus at 11:16 am for the 17th time in this series of 18 with
the last one next month. The effect of these Moon occultations has been
exponentially accelerating the expansion of consciousness and the actions we
take as a result.
This includes expanding our awareness to radical new forms of technology as
found in Torsion Fields that can instantly transform our dependence on fossil
fuel. This technology has many other potentially beneficial far reaching
possibilities.
Among many factors Torsion technology has the ability to compress time. In the
article already mentioned by Ed Komarek he suggests that extra-terrestrial civilizations use time compression and other
torsion technologies to speed up their experience of time in relation to our experience of time.
So from the E.T. perspective, using Torsion Technology the Earth was placed in a near stasis or extremely slow
movement of time. This means we have been nearly standing still in relation to other ET races and their experience of
time. Because they are moving so fast compared to our experience we do not have the ability to perceive them except
when their activity slows down to match ours.
These links http://hitsusa.com/blog/1092/russian-navy-ufo-encounters/
and http://www.ufoinfo.com/news/ruc.shtml are from declassified UFO encounters by the Russian Navy. If you go to
this link be sure to scroll down the page to see the images and the article.
Following up on this notion in the series finale of Stargate SG 1 the team uses
Torsion Technology when their ship is about to be destroyed by a deadly blast
from an enemy ship. Quick thinking Samantha Carter creates a torsion field
around their ship that slows their experience of time allowing an entire life
time to go by while they figure out how to survive the blast. The blast slows
down so much it looks like it is suspended halfway between the two ships.
Granted this is a Sci-Fi Hollywood style take on this technology but it does speak to what is possible with torsion fields. It
also is evidence that this information and technology is already in the collective awareness. There are many other Sci-Fi
movies and TV shows that explore time distortions through advanced alien technologies to solve other life and death
matters. Ed’s article goes on to give us a sense of the possibilities that torsion technology has:
Communication technologies would make a quantum jump in range and speed making today's communications
seem like that of the telegraph. Torsion Physics even begins to explain telepathy and even consciousness.
http://www.iclub.lv/telepathy/default.htm
Torsion technologies can truly be called the technology of the gods. We now have this technology within our
grasp if we chose to embrace the technology constructively rather than destroy ourselves with it. If we are to
handle this technology constructively we must openly and transparently discuss and develop it. We must not
2015 November Celestial Timings by Cayelin K Castell www.cayelincastell.com Page 17
allow this technology to fall into the hands of the secret autocratic elite to be used to control and enslave the
rest of us. http://www.ufodigest.com/news/0809/torsion-field3.php
November 23, Monday. The Moon enters Taurus at 8:26 am illuminating the mysteries of personal intimacy, sacred
pleasure and the art of authentic receivership. In a culture that has trained us to believe intimacy is scary, pleasure is a
sin, and giving is more blessed than receiving, it is great to see how this is now changing - even though embracing sacred
pleasure and deep intimacy is counter to our cultural training thus far.
It helps to willingly open our receptive channels through practicing genuine gratitude. When we are in a state of
gratitude we are in a state of receivership and that leads to increasing our ability to fully savor and enjoy the gifts of life,
in turn increasing our vibration and thus drawing more love, intimacy and pleasure to us.
Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others. ~Cicero
Venus (17 Libra) opposes retrograde Uranus (17 Aries) at 2:13 pm suggesting unexpected events may take us in new
relational directions (especially from the feminine relational perspective) with ourselves and others in ways that are
intended to help us more fully align with our relationship intent for
this life.
November 24, Tuesday. Mercury passes 2.7° SSW of Saturn (06
Sagittarius 48) at 8:57 pm. Both are too close to the Sun to be seen.
However, Saturn is helping Mercury to ground practical ideas into
tangible form. And with Mercury also squares Neptune at 11:15 pm it
is a time for daydreaming into possible (and probable) futures that
are aligned with our divine design. Then Saturn’s job is to bring them
into a sustainable, results oriented form.
The Sun is rising near the Head of the Scorpion conjuncting the fixed
stars Jabbah Acrab and Dshubba every year at this time where
Saturn was hanging out and is still nearby. These three stars were
considered propitious and were known as "the Light of the Hero", or
"the Tree of the Garden of Light ". These stars are not visible at this
time as they are being illuminated by the Sun but they are worth
tuning into as they receive this annual direct light transmission.
Consciously connecting with the light of the Sun now is enough to
receive the transmission.
November 25, Wednesday. That Moon enters Gemini at 9:15 am
passing the Pleiades and reaching the exact Full Moon (3 Gemini 20)
at 2:44 pm. The Greeks saw the Pleiades as the "Seven Doves" that
carried ambrosia to the infant Zeus. They were also known as the seven daughters of Atlas and Pleione (Atlas' first wife),
six of whom are described as visible, and one as invisible or "lost."
These “Seven Sisters” were the virgin (not married) companions of the Goddess Diana. The story goes that the great
hunter Orion pursued them for seven years, until Atlas (their father) asked Zeus to protect his daughters. Zeus
transformed the seven sisters into doves and placed them among the stars. Later, when Orion was killed by a giant
scorpion, Zeus placed him in the heavens behind the Pleiades. (The Living Stars, Dr. Eric Morse, 1988, Amethyst Books,
London, New York). http://www.winshop.com.au/annew/cons0.htm
2015 November Celestial Timings by Cayelin K Castell www.cayelincastell.com Page 18
Atlas, Pleione and Alcyone (the three brightest stars of the Pleiades) have recently moved into the tropical sign of
Gemini after having spent 2,150 years in the tropical sign of Taurus. This means that these stars are now also expressing
through the mind and the process of communication; whereas, the other stars of the Pleiades are still expressing
through Taurus, the Earth, the physical body and the sensation function. This suggests that the Pleiadian energy is now
working with the mysteries that have to do with how we integrate the mind and body into a cohesive whole that works
together for optimum health and enjoyment. (See more on the Difference Between Signs and Constellations)
The Gemini Full Moon is located inside the Sacred Hoop of stars between the Pleiades and Aldebaran, the eye of the
Bull, watcher of the East, linked with Archangel Michael. In some cultures, Aldebaran was considered the all-seeing “eye
of god” helping to restore the original perfection of Earth.
November 26, Thursday. Happy Thanks Giving. The Moon is
occulting Aldebaran again accelerating the possibilities
inherent within this series that began in January of this year
and ends in September 2018. Occultations open portals and
Aldebaran is a star the Egyptians consider to be the Silver
Gate, or portal that leads into this reality.
Said another way this is the entrance point into this
dimension of experience and the Moon occulting Aldebaran
is giving us wide open access to these mysteries.
… the Silver Gate is above Orion, at the center of the Duat;
the Egyptian Netherworld which was represented on the
ground in the Giza area. The Silver Gate is just above the
“hand” of Orion, who the Egyptians associated with Osiris,
and they depicted him holding a star in his hand. In the Orion
Mystery, Bauval & Gilbert presumed this to be the star
Aldebaran. Now, Gilbert has found that the Egyptian word for star, s’ba, also means “door”, so Osiris is holding a
Star-Gate. In some depictions, Osiris is holding an ankh towards the gate, so this must be the key which unlocks
the star-gate.
Saturn (07 Sagittarius 03) is square Neptune (07 Pisces 03) at 4:18 am. This is the first of three squares, including June
17, 2016 and September 10, 2016. This first square features both Neptune and Saturn direct. In June both will be
retrograde and in September Neptune will be retrograde.
Saturn is about structure and form. Neptune is about the field of all possibilities or formlessness. What happens when
formlessness meets form, when pure potential meets structured reality?
From Neptune’s point of view anything is possible. From Saturn’s point of view the possibilities are limited to what is
practical and sustainable, so in that sense Neptune benefits from Saturn’s wisdom on what is really workable in this
reality. Having said that though, Neptune can get frustrated with the limitations Saturn imposes and Saturn can get
frustrated with Neptune’s inability to choose something and go for it.
The image that comes to mind is a blank canvas. Neptune is the blank canvas as anything could be painted on it. Once an
image is decided upon and the artist begins to paint, the possibilities become limited to that vision or image, and yet the
potential for a master piece painting has now begun.

November 27, Friday. The Moon enters Cancer at 11:27 am crossing the centerpoint of the Galactic Cross near the
Galactic edge. When the Moon passes this part of the sky it is transmitting inter-galactic information and cosmic
vibrational frequencies from beyond our Galaxy. Adding to this experience today Mercury is passing by Antares (10
Sagittarius and the Key to the Golden Gate of Ascension) though too close to the Sun to be seen – Mercury is amping
up the messages coming in from the Galactic Center catching up to the exact Cross at Galactic Center on December 9.
In less than a month the Sun will be on the Galactic Cross near Galactic Center at the December Solstice (Dec 21). Twice
each year, when the Sun is on these Galactic Crosses and twice each month when the Moon is here we experience
(usually subtlety) the convergence of energy being transmitted to Earth from these parts of the sky. At the very least
from 1962 to 2034 the Sun is on either the Galactic Cross at the Galactic Edge (June Solstice) or the Galactic Cross at the
Galactic Center (December Solstice) creating a minimum of a 72 year window for this shift to take place.
David Wilcock wrote about this Convergence way back in 1999 saying:
“Convergence” comes as a result of understanding that our solar system operates
in 25,920-year cycles, and that at the end of each cycle is a frequency or energetic
shift. These shifts affect the energetic structure of the Earth, or the Global Grid,
by forcing it to realign.
And hence, you have the “pole shift” phenomenon that is often referred to in
metaphysical circles. As indicated from the Mayan Calendar and many other
sources, we are now into the end phase of this entire 25,920-year cycle of human
civilization, and we can expect a fantastic and highly exciting transformation of
ourselves and our planet…as a result….
…The work of John Major Jenkins in “Maya Cosmogenesis 2012″ conclusively
determines that the Earth’s “precessional wobble” of circa 26,000 years is
actually timed by the Earth’s relative position to the center of the Galaxy. Jenkins connects this to the Maya,
showing how they had elaborate rituals and symbolic “proofs” for this connection.
As we all know, the Maya associated this Cycle with the changing of ages and “root races” of humankind. Jenkins
shows us that at these precise “turning points” in the precession, the Earth’s positioning with the center of the
galaxy is in exact alignment.
Obviously, this indicates that the alignment itself is of fundamental importance: that the Earth and Solar
System’s position relative to the Galactic Center has a penultimate effect upon the hyperdimensional physics of
its systems. When we conjoin with the Galactic Center, a flood of energy is received — energy that fundamentally
changes the vibratory rate of all bodies of matter in its vicinity.
And therefore, we not only find this 26,000-year cycle in the slow wobbling of the Earth’s axis, we can also find
this cycle in the Sun.
November 28, Saturday. Chiron Stations direct at 16 Pisces 56 within the Still Point of Pisces accentuating the oceanic
realms where we have access the unified field of creation. Biological life spontaneously formed and evolved in the
oceans of the Earth so is a symbolic and literal source of Creative Intelligence.
In an article posted in 2009, the Census of Marine Life released a study of the ocean creatures living in the Arctic and the
Antarctic showing that around 235 identical species are living and thriving in these oceans that are thousands of miles
2015 November Celestial Timings by Cayelin K Castell www.cayelincastell.com Page 20
apart. (Pictures and more info here) Scientists wonder how the same species of “swimming snails” living at both poles
can have the same evolutionary qualities living so
far apart? More here
Additionally, similar bacteria have been found in
comets and the deepest darkest parts of the
ocean. Plus, bacteria can form in sterilized beach
sand and distilled water if left sitting for a few
days. Scientists also know that bacteria that has
been frozen in ice for 10,000 years or more can
be revived and thrive. These are just a few of that
factors that further suggest there is a unified field
of intelligence that spontaneously creates life and can equally create spontaneous healing and rapid evolution.
Pisces is so adaptable it is often described as being a chameleon. Studies are
showing that significant DNA changes or adaptations can happen to animals in
just one generation. When we consider that DNA lives in a fluid environment it
is not surprising that it can evolve much quicker than scientists might have first
believed.
This is worth contemplating as Chiron the master Shamanic Healer, stations reaching a still point of possibilities and a
powerful trigger that could instantly shift our perception and our reality including potentially rapidly changing our DNA
and thus our actual physical experience in this reality.
The Moon passes by Castor and Pollux once again this month as it exits the Sacred Hoop.
November 29, Sunday. Venus is within 4.2° NNE of Spica (24
Libra) in the morning sky. Once each year Venus passes this
magical Behenian Star and is in active range this year from
November 24 to December 5. Spica is also the 15th brightest star in
our night sky and was considered by many ancient cultures to be
one of the most important sky symbols for the Divine Feminine and
a stand in for Venus when Venus was not visible.
The Sun (07 Sagittarius 03) is square Neptune (07 Pisces 03) at
6:50 am. In this time of giving thanks this is the perfect time to be
in the dreaming of gratitude, love, and appreciation for all the
abundant gifts the Universe brings us every day when we are open to receive them. When Neptune is involved it is
always about going beyond logic and reason to the place of the heart where ultimately all our needs are always met
regardless of what the external circumstances may appear to be.
Conscious awareness of this deeper knowing (from this middle world reality) is not always easy to connect with as we
encounter fears that often feed a lack of trust and faith in the divine unfolding. Today is a great time to step back and
step out, going to the Celestial where all is always exactly as it should be, connecting to that place of love and support
that is always there for us even when we forget.
No matter how you spend this day, it might be helpful to take a few minutes to connect to your heart-knowing as
research shows that our hearts are way more powerful than our brains!

The Moon enters Leo at 4:47 pm emphasizing the journey of self-love through healthy self-approval and self-respect
adding to the understanding that now is an important time to connect with our heart-knowing.
The Sun is conjunct Saturn (07 Sagittarius 23) at 4:16 pm. Once each year the Sun and Saturn come together similar to a
New Moon effect meaning this is a great time for planting seeds. This is similar to a New Moon when the Sun and Moon
come together. Saturn is not visible because it is with the Sun receiving an infusion of light energy that illuminates its
journey through the Sagittarius realm.
Saturn is all about the rules and boundaries and what does and doesn’t work in this world. Sagittarius is all about
expanding consciousness to its widest possible expression. Expanding our awareness, expands possibilities and what can
actually manifest in this reality.
November 30, Monday. The Sun enters Ophiuchus, a.k.a the serpent bearer,
according to modern day astronomy maps every year on this date. It is
important to know that the constellation boundaries were redrawn by
astronomers in 1928 giving rise to the confusion about the 13th sign.
Ophiuchus is the constellation linked with Aesclepius (a master healer taught
by Chiron) and when the Sun is in this area of the sky it is a great time for
paying attention to your dreams as it relates to your personal healing journey
and imaging radiant health and well-being as the divine birthright we all
deserve to experience. (See Nov 20)
The power of imagination makes us infinite. ~John Muir
Imagination is more important than knowledge. ~Albert Einstein
Today the Moon passes the Beehive Cluster at about 7
Leo (a.k.a Prasepe, Latin for manger) and will visible
beyond the Beehive Cluster this evening. Astronomers call
this part of the sky M44. It is an open cluster (one of the
largest in this area of the sky) of stars located at about 7
degrees into the seasonal sign of Leo and located in the
constellation of the Crab (a.k.a Cancer). Under dark skies
the Beehive looks like a swarm of stars with more than 40
stars visible to the naked eye and is often seen as a cloudy
patch.
The Beehive Cluster was one the first objects that Galileo
studied with his telescope. The best way to find this
cluster is to first locate the twin stars Pollux and Castor.
Then looking left or to the east locate Regulus at the base
of the backward question mark.
The Beehive Cluster lies somewhere in between Pollux and Regulus and is difficult to see unless you are under a very
dark sky because even though it is a 3rd magnitude cluster it is spread about a degree and half across the sky with its
light spreading over an area bigger than three full Moons. Binoculars can be a big help in spotting it. The waning Moon
nearby helps to locate it but also makes it more difficult to see as it is best seen under a dark sky.
