CHEF JESSE VERGEN Chef Jesse Vergen was a competitor on the fourth season of Food Network’s Top Chef Canada, and has been featured twice on the network’s award winning show, You Gotta Eat Here! Additionally, Vergen was one of the contributing chefs in Michael Smith’s documentary, Village Feast.

ADVENTURE Meet at the Dobson Trailhead off Pine
Glen Road
Join Ocean Trail Technical Advisor Mark Hazen for an afternoon of
snowshoeing fun. Learn how to select and prepare wood, techniques to
set up a fire that quickly generates heat and coals. Learn about local
wildlife and cap off the afternoon with a Briggs’s Maple s’more.
2 - 4 p.m. MAPLE BUCKET CHALLENGE Dobson Trail, off Pine Glen Road
Bring the family outside for an afternoon of fun! Sample maple sap,
identify a maple leaf, learn about the history of the trail and make your
very own Brigg’s Maple S’more at the first fire pit! The starting point is
at the Dobson Trail Bulletin Board (1-2 minute walk from the trailhead).
11 a.m. - 10 p.m. ALL AGES Skateboarding
Live Music with Band: Machete Riverview Skatepark,

This FREE event is for all ages and open for eveyone to stop in and enjoy
some amazing upbeat music. The band will be performing at 3 p.m. on
the skatepark floor while skating is going on so it will be an exciting
show!

We’re going to make the best of all the snow we’ve received this winter,
and enjoy it before the warm weather comes and takes it away! Bring
your sled, and go sliding on our giant sliding hill, enjoy the FREE SLEIGH RIDES, join Mark Hazen from Ocean Trail for free
demonstrations on how to snowshoe and use various brands of fire
steel, and enjoy a cup of free hot chocolate.
