2015 Service Personnel Retirees The following eight retirees were present at the Service Personnel Recognition and Retirement Award Program on Friday, May 8, 2015. This year’s service retirees represent 656 combined years of service to the university.

Service Personnel Recognition and Retirement

Award Program on Friday, May 8, 2015.

This year’s service retirees represent 656

combined years of service to the university.

Deborah L. Allison35 Years of Service

Facilities Planning and Management

Deborah’s career at Ball State began at the Studebaker Snack Bar in 1979. A year later she began work as a custodian in Facilities Planning and Management where she remained until her retirement in December 2014.

Marilyn Batty25 Years of Service

Elliott Dining

Marilyn came to Ball State in 1986 and worked in both temporary and substitute positions until she joined the team in Woodworth Dining.

Since then she has worked in several other dining halls on campus. Marilyn retired in May 2014.

DeWayne L . Hammons 34 Years of Service

Facilities Operations

DeWayne’s career at the university began in Landscape Services.

He left the university in 2003 to start his own business then returned in 2006 to work as an arborist until his retirement in August 2014.

Timothy A. Jenyk15 Years of Service

District Energy Station North

Tim began his career as an HVAC Heat Plant mechanic in 1999.

Tim retired in November 2014.

Karen J. Jones29 Years of Service

Facilities Planning and Management

Karen came to Ball State as temporary employee at the Kitselmen Center.

She joined the team at Facilities Planning and Management in 1985 where she remained until her retirement in June 2014.

Earlene L indsey30 Years of Service

Woodworth HallDuring her 30-year career, Earlene worked in Facilities Planning and Management before joining the team in Housing and Residence Life in 2010.

Earlene retired in June 2014.

Becky J. Loveless26 Years of Service

Woodworth Dining

Becky began her career at Ball State in 1988 as a Woodworth Hall food service worker. Since then she has worked in several dining halls on campus.

Becky retired on March 1, 2015.

Glenda L . Nibarger17 Years of Service

Woodworth Dining

Glenda came to Ball State in 1994 as a substitute employee in dining before securing a full-time position. She has worked in several dining halls over the past 17 years.

Glenda retired in September 2014.
