The Cattlemen’sBull Sale Monday, March 9th, 2015 at 1pm

Lincoln Cty Fairgrounds North Platte, Ne

Welcome Cattle Enthusiast,First, I want to thank you for taking the time to look at our offering. My how the time flies! I feel like I was just sitting down towrite this letter for our 2014 sale just a few months ago. Looking back at the last year a few things have changed for the Tiede- mans and Johnsons. Jake married his lovely bride Lindsay. They are living in North Platte. Jake still works everyday with his Mom and Dad taking care of the cattle and trying to find the next great bull or female. Becky and Bob are always busy selling cattle, seasoning or helping AI cattle for customers. Cheryl is getting used to farming, something Dan always took care of. She is an un-believably strong and smart woman who has been through a lot in the last 17 months. She has persevered and really taken the bull by the horns. The ball of fire in our life is Daniel. He is full of joy and happiness, along with being stubborn and very independent! We wouldn’t have him any other way. Cassie and Ramsey spend everyday on the farm working to produce the next great set of bulls and females to offer.

Another year has passed and we still strive to produce high quality cattle that will do the work for you. We live off our operation. It is our only source of income and that is why it is our number one priority to make sure our customers are satisfied with their purchase. It is also the reason we have 100% confidence in the bulls we sell. We do have an extensive culling program because we make sure our momma cows produce quality calves every year. We don’t just breed cattle based off EPD’s. We use them asa tool in our selection but we want to be able to see the muscle in our bulls tops and hind quarters. We analyze their maternal traits based off how well their dam and sire have produced in the past. We know how well our cattle will grow because we have seen the actual weights of the sire groups they come from. We want our bulls to produce progeny that will walk into the ring at a sale and catch the eyes of the buyers because of their visual attributes. We believe strongly in using all the tools in selecting your next purchase and that is why we have the adjusted weights and scan data, the EPD’s and pictures.

This year we have cattle from some very good business associates and friends. Darryl Rhodes of Rhodes Red Angus has some outstanding 18-month bulls in the offering. The bulls are out of some of the top Red Angus females in the breed and they look phenomenal. They are very docile and ready to go to work for you. We have three families that all started the same way Cassie did with her Red Angus and they are now growing their herd and becoming cattlemen and cattlewomen. We couldn’t be more proud of them and their accomplishments. Grant and Kurt Potadle of York Creek Red Angus have yearling Yardmaster sons in the of-fering. They are loaded with performance and carcass quality. York Creek has been a small business in the making for Grant since high school. He takes a lot of pride in the cattle he produces and you can tell. The Geyer family, Kaitlyn and Jamie, had a bull in our sale last year and again this year. This bull came from a show heifer they purchased from us a few years back. He has a great pedigree and is a gentle giant. Addy Van Vliet also has a bull in our offering that came from a group of embryos she purchased from us. Addy is currently studying abroad in Australia but she will be online watching her bull sell.

We hope you are able to make it to North Platte March 9th, but if you can’t, the bulls will be available for viewing on Sunday. The sale will be broadcast online at www.DvAuction.com. If you have any questions before the sale, please give any one of us a call. We will have free delivery within a 350 mile radius of the sale. We also have a first breeding season guarantee on our bulls. If they get injured in the first breeding season we will replace the bull for you. We always have customers looking to purchase Red Angus influenced females so let us know if you want to sell yours and we will try to help you get top dollar for yours. Come early sale day to view the bulls and join us for lunch at noon. We look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones March 9th in North Platte, NE.

Yardmaster sold in our 2012 Cattlemen’s Bull Sale. Since then he has been leaving his mark in cattle operations across the country. His females are topping sales as heifer calves and are now becoming some of the most beautiful first calf heifers. Sons of Yardmaster are some of the most sought after bulls in bull sales across the country because of their muscle, volume, eye appeal and actual performance. The heaviest weaning and yearling weight bull for SLgN was a Yardmaster son this year. Overmiller Red angus in Kansas has walking rights on Yard-master and they are ecstatic with how well the sons have performed on test with majority of them ratioing in the 110’s. Schilling Limousin of Kansas use him on their purebred Limousin females and love the cross. two of their bulls in their Lim-flex pen in Denver were out of Yardmaster. tiedemans have a first calf heifer out of Yardmaster this year and Jake said by far she wins the outstanding milking momma award in their herd. You can appreciate a bull more when you know he is working for more than one breeder and for more than one breed. Yardmaster works well on cows that need some moderation and more body. We have a lot more calves hitting the ground at home and they are just as uniform as one can make. Yardmaster semen is now on the open market and available through Solution Genetics at $70/unit. Owned with Yardmaster Syndicate.

We take pride in building our genetics around consistent producing proven females. These three brothers are proof of that. The Persuasion cow has been in production for 9 years and ev- ery year she produces some of our top bulls and females. Maternal brothers to Lots 1-3 include SLgN Yosemite 1143Y, SLgN X-Files 006X and SLgN Wideload 920W. all three bulls are being used extensively as aI herd sires for oper- ations across the U.S. and Canada. Don’t miss your chance to get in on proven genetics. Lot 1 was in our pen of bulls at the National Western Stock Show and one of the crowd favorites. He stands with all four hooves pointing straight forward and the muscle shape in the bull is outstanding. When a bull has this much hip, muscle and is in the top 18% for low BW, you can’t go wrong. I would anticipate this bull to make a lot of friends sale day.

Lot 2 & 3 are just as outstanding as lot 1. Lot 2 has exceptional scan data. He will be able to produce pounds heavy calves that will hang with a high quality carcass. You can’t go wrong with these brothers.

Stout, soggy, functional and consistent would be a good way to describe the next three full brothers. Three of the last four pens of bulls that we have taken to exhibit at the National Western Stock Show have had at least one son of the emily 5191 cow. She is our bull making female that can be mated a lot of different ways but she still has the same great end product. emily just entered our donor program in 2012 and we should have done it sooner. She is built solid from the ground up. Sound hard hoof, big bone, and three-dimensional from there up. Lots 4-6 are low birth weight bulls that will still put the performance on their calves after they hit the ground next year. If you want a consis- tent group of bulls to use on your herd take a look at these boys! Lot 4 is the closest thing to a Yardmaster twin we have seen yet. The only difference is this bull is heavier muscled. He carries his width down his top, out his hip and explodes with dimension through his lower quarter.

Lot 6 may be one of our best IMF bulls of the sale with a 5.28 and a ratio of 148. When bulls have that much IMF usually their Rea is smaller but he had a 13 Rea. Carcass quality that you can measure can be worth more than its weight in gold.

Lot 7 has been one of my favorites from the beginning and a lot of that is because of his attitude. This may be one of the gentlest bulls in the entire offering. Bakersfield is soggy, high performing and can work in an operation looking to retain fe-males or one looking to sell calves at weaning. His dam has been consistent in the type of cattle she produces. They are always growthy, loaded with red meat and very docile.

Heifer Bull! Here is a low birth weight bull that has the growth and performance to back him up. His dam is one of our up-coming super stars. The adina cow offers a little different pedigree going back to Bon View New Design 878 on the bottom side. She was a stand out in the 5L heifer calf offering and she still is now. Her first calf sold in our female sale in 2011 and has

already went on to produce a $10,000 bull and a $16,750 heifer. The maternal side of this pedigree is already proving itself and the top side is just starting to make a splash in the cattle community. SLgN Bayou 466B is everything you would want in a heifer bull and then some. When I bred the adina cow to Yardmaster I was really wanting to get a female but after seeing how well Bayou has performed, I can’t complain. This bull can be used in all aspects of a cattlemans herd. His progeny will finish out and grade well and his females will be tremendous re-placements to keep or sell. get excited about this one, he is all that and more!

These two outstanding full brothers are going to catch a lot of attention. I really appreciate the combination of maternal and carcass these bulls have. Their dam has a lot to do with their performance. She is one of our larger framed females who is also one of the heaviest muscled. We have a handful of half sisters to the Forster Hi Queen 0140 cow and they are cow machines. They are massive built, low maintenance, powerful females that produce the same type and kind. Boondocks is a bigger framed bull that is loaded with performance and red meat. He is the natural calf to 8311 and he has been a stand out since he hit the ground. He is the kind of bull you can use in a multitude of herds. Bon Jovi is a little more moderate than his brother but is still loaded with growth. I really like how he combines his length of spine with so much capacity. His type and kind reads to make beautiful females that are high volumed, easy keeping and functional. SLGN Hi Queen Ultimate Giver

Very attractive bull out of a broody Mission Statement daughter acquired in the Messmer Dispersal. Lots of growth potential, he is in the top 26% of the breed in WW and YW. Note the exceptional HPg as well.

There’s plenty of performance in this high growth, high indexing bull. exceptional gridmaster, WW, YW, and CW figures. Plus check out the 14.39 ribeye scan good for a ratio of 114. His dam is a very productive Pacific Pride daughter with influence from the multi trait standout sire, Destination. Big 41 cm scrotal.

Very cool, cherry red Yardmaster son with ample bone and substance. Note the IMF ratio of 113 against his contemporaries. 38.5 cm scrotal.

Big hipped, wide based bull out of the proven Blockanna cow family. His easy keeping dam is a consistent producer. Me in the top 22% breed.

Yardmaster really stamps his calves with plenty of muscle and rib; and this long-spined, powerfully constructed son is no exception. He scanned a 15.21 ribeye, while also posting a ratio of 103 on his IMF. Dam is a standout producer in our program with a 104.3 MPPa. Big 40.5 cm scrotal.

Check out this bull’s gridmaster index of 123. If you are looking to retain ownership in your calves, he should be on your list. He posted a ratio of 119 for IMF. His dam is an attractive assurance daughter with lots of proven performance in her pedigree.

a ruggedly built bull out of our Peek-a-Boo cow. This bull has a little more frame than some of the other Yard-masters and just as much muscle. Yardmaster has been in production for two years now and his progeny are the most consistent group in unifor-mity and growth that I have seen in a long time. They calve out easy, have a big top, lots of bone at a week old and they just don’t stop getting bigger bellied and stouter. Billy Dean has a lot of style if you are looking for a bull to make those fancy red replace-ments that the cattle industry can’t get enough of.

Lot 19 is a moderate framed bull that has a pedigree stacked with quality. Brewster was on a poor recip and it has taken him awhile to reach his genetic potential. take this bull, use him on your cows and I know you will love his progeny.

Yosemite Daughter

Yosemite Son

Yosemite is the poster child for red meat and growth. He was not promoted as heavily as Yardmaster in his first year but it has not taken very long for people to notice him through his progeny. Yosem-ite’s calves are born with a big foundation and they are as long as a train. They are going to be performance oriented. at weaning they are some of the stoutest and heaviest ones to cross the scales. They also weigh well at yearling and scan big ribeyes with exceptional marbling. Yosemite comes from our great bull producing donor, Persuasion. Her name will be one that people will look for in a pedi-gree some day and say, “thats a great cow family.” The first Yosem-ite daughters will be in production this Spring and I am anxious to see how great they will be as momma cows. Semen is for sale on Yosemite for $40/unit. Owned with Duke Ranch of Texas.

Lot 20 is the natural calf to emily 5191 and a maternal brother to lots 4-6. He might be short on tail but he makes up for it everywhere else! This bull has been one of my favorites since he was born. His growth and performance has always been exceptional. I can apprecaite it when a 10-year old cow spits out a 74 lb calf that weans off at 606 lbs. His yearling weight was a solid 1230 but because of ratios the as-sociation incorporates into the ePD’s, his ratio of 99 did not increase his YW ePD. However, I still think this bull can work well in opera-tions looking to add more performance to their program.

Booker is a gentle beast that has been one of our “friends in the pasture” since he was born. This bull was born light red but the older he gets the darker he becomes. He is a later maturing bull who is as smooth made as they come. His dam is 12-years old and is still doing a great job. Her udder and teat structure has really held up over the years.

Lot 22 comes from a 12-year old Cherokee Cnyn daughter that has remained in our herd for a few reasons. She is a consistent producer of good calves, her milking ability has not decreased and she has not missed a calving season. Her son will be the type of bull that consis-tently produces solid performing offspring that will feed easy. I would expect his females to be tremendous producers since they will not only have Cherokee Cnyn 4912 but they will also have the maternal abilities of Cowboy Cut in their pedigree.

Lot 23 offers a little two-tone color to our group. His dam has some maternal greats backing her up. She is a direct daughter of Precision and a grandaughter of Meado-West Bailey 019K. Both of those females helped make a name for our operation. This bull has a tremendous growth curve with a -1.1 BW up to a 104 YW. He is a later maturing, moderate framed bull that has a lot of dimension to him from behind. You can expect his progeny to be performance driven and carcass oriented.

I am absolutely in love with this bull. It is hard for me to give just one reason why. I really like his pedigree, crossing the perfor- mance of Yosemite with the power of the La- kota cow family. I also appreciate his 75 lb. BW ratio of 96 and jumping to a 703lb WW ratio of 111. Then when I look at the bull and see how solid he is from front to back, the amount of muscle that he carries down his top, all I think about is how big a ribeye he is carrying, 13.96 almost 14 square inch Rea. I like this bull more and more, I think you will too! We pictured him on a cloudy day so please forgive the lack of good light-ing for his picture.

Lot 24 is another bull that has a lot to bring to the table. I will be the first to admit that if you are looking for a bull to produce 60 lb. calves this bull will not work for you. He has a pedigree stacked with some leg-endary bulls and cows that offer a lot of growth. The Yosemite bull has done a great job of putting a longer spine and more red meat into his calves. Lot 24’s dam comes from another one of our great donors, LCC Stony who produced some great females in her lifetime. SLgN X-actly 068X is just starting to make a name for herself at our place. She is as soggy as they come and this year has an X-Files heifer calf at side that is growing like a weed in part to her moth-ers tremendous milking ability. I really like the pattern and design this bull has. I think he will meet and exceed expectations.

We strive to breed balanced-trait bulls with fresh pedigrees, and this bull exceeds our goals. He’s long spined, deep sided, offers ide- al curve-bending growth, very progressive carcass figures, and is backed by our everelda entense donor that is always popular with visitors. The Ravishing everelda 20 cow has produced bulls featured in the last two sales, selling to Bradbury Land & Cattle and the Bob Wiseman family. Peacemaker is a popular young sire at accelerated genetics, known for his explosive growth and superb carcass merit. Whether you’re looking for a fresh pedigree, a new calving ease sire with growth and carcass power, or a bull that will improve udders and maternal strength, this bull will shine in your operation!

This bull is a master of balance. You’ll appreciate his muscle pattern and soft rib shape. His BW, WW, YW, Milk, Marb, and Re ePD’s rank in the top 30% of the breed or higher, and he is out of a tremendous cow that is a favorite with anyone who sees her. Keep every daughter out of this gentle bull- they will be superb, fertile mothers that convert grass to cash!

Cowboy Cut Daughter

Cowboy Cut Son

Cowboy Cut has and continues to be an outstanding producer of per- formance oriented cattle that develop into beautiful cows and power- ful bulls. Cowboy Cut has sired some great bulls for our program such as Yardmaster and Yosemite. The majority of his females have been sold to juniors wanting a good show heifer that will develop into a great momma cow after her show career. The udders on the females have ample amount of milk and nice teat structure. Semen is for sale on Cowboy Cut at $60/unit. Solution Genetics owns US semen rights only.

an exceptional yearling bull is being offered in Lot 33. This Cowboy Cut son is made as smooth as they come. His dam is the well known “Nicki” female that has been producing outstanding bulls and females for operations across the country. Look at the growth spread this bull has to offer. I don’t think he has reached his potential yet. Buy him, turn him out to grass and watch how he develops into an outstanding herd sire for your operation.

This lead off bull of the Cowboy Cut sired calves is one that not only has the pedigree but he also has the phenotype to back it up. Lets talk about the pedigree first. Cowboy Cut brings maternal traits to produce great females, Rock Star on the bottom side brings the carcass merit and performance to produce commercial driven cattle. The combination of this yields a highly desirable bull that will perform in a multitude of scenarios. The dam to true grit is a first calf heifer, I would take a gamble and say this female has a very bright future based off her per-formance with this calf. He had a 78 lb BW a 783 lb WW then continued the per-formance and had an actual YW of 1305. true grit is a good bull I am confident he is going to work for you!

You can use this bull on heifers with ease! This brother to Yosemite and X-Files is as smooth as they come. He is a three-dimen- sional bull just loaded with red meat. No matter which direction you look at him you are bound to like what you see. He has the numbers to back him as well with a -1BW to a 95 YW. The growth and maternal backing are there, you just need to take him home and put him to work.

Three more flush mate brothers that offer some calving ease. The dam to these bulls, X-tra Sweet is an exceptional young female in our program. She stands on a solid foundation is very fluid in her structure and when you analyze her from the side you will really appreciate how smooth she is through her front third and how deep and soggy she is from her shoulders back. Her pedigree is more Canadian than american but we won’t hold that against her. I found her sire in a commercial Red angus herd while I was touring in Canada. They were using Smoker to produce highly ef-ficient progeny that they could turn around and sell as grass fed beef. We only used Smoker semen in one flush and looking back I wish I would have bought more semen. The other well known bull that we received from this flush is SLgN X-Files 006X who is known for his outstanding low birth weights and is the up and coming heifer bull. top and bottom side of this pedigree has al-ready proven itself in programs across the country. Now you just need to take these bulls home and let them prove themselves to you. These bulls will work great on both ends of the spectrum. They can produce the high growth calves you need to push the scales down at selling time aND the feminine, maternally focused females you will want to keep back in your herd.

This bull is loaded with muscle and I guarantee he will inject lots of it into his offspring! The Xtreme Queen female is only 5 but she has produced some very stout bulls and females for us over the years. On the bottom side she goes back to the Copprqueen cow family who is known for being one of the most prolific cow families in the country. This bull will undoubtedly put the performance into his calves and put the money in your pocket.

I really like this dark red Cowboy Cut son a lot. He is dimensional down his top and explodes with width and power out of his hip. He stands on a solid foot and points all four legs straight forward. From shoulders to hip he is made as solid as any in this sale. This one could be a sleeper.

This may be one of the easiest calving Rock Star sons we have had to date. With the well-known calving ease Ole’s Oscar on the bottom side you can see where the 65 lb. BW would come from. Rock Star is one of my favorite bulls we have ever owned because of his ability to produce heavy muscled performance driven cattle and beautiful females that have some of the best udders on them. This is your chance to get the Rock Star genetics you want in a lower birth weight package.

Lot 44 is the definition of a bull. Rugged, powerfully constructed, stout and easy keeping. His dam is no longer with us but her progeny are still proving how great of a female she was. She was a grandcanyon 1244g daughter that was OSF and out of the very well-known Cop- prqueen cow family. two maternal greats on the bottom side of lot 44’s pedigree and Rock Star on the top make for a lethal combination of genetics. take this bull home and watch him make you money.

Rock Star was originally purchased to produce cattle that had good growth, big ribeyes and the bulls were going to look like rugged pow-erful bulls that cattlemen wanted. Rock Star fulfilled that goal of ours and then exceeded our expectations by producing females that were powerful yet feminine, broody but refined and the most ideal udder and teat quality you could ask for. Rock Star is a one stop shop for anyone looking to produce high quality cattle that are low maintenance and performance driven. His data along with his prog-eny averages speak for themself. I recommend using him on bigger framed females that are smooth and pretty but just need to become more dimensional in every aspect. Owned with Northline Angus in Canada. Semen is for sale through Solution Genetics at $60/unit. Commercial pricing available.

It is always a goal to have balanced ePD’s, low birth, good growth and good carcass data. These five flushmate brothers meet every aspect of that goal. Rock Star stamps his sons with his same bone, muscle and a rich red hair coat. The dam, “Nicki”, is an all-star donor for the Rhodes Solution genetics partnership. She has been a no miss female that will produce a good one everytime. She goes back to the well-known Cheyenne bull who produced some tremendous females for operations across the country. Like “Nicki”, Cheyenne daughters milk very well, while maintaining their flesh. I believe these bulls will offer the best of both worlds. Their calves are going to wean off heavy and hang a high quality carcass. at the same time, the females will be low maintenance heavy muscled and very appealing. I know I have said it before and you will probably hear me say it sale day, Rock Star progeny are some of the best cattle we have every raised. Their ability to be so massive and still maintain a desirable phenotype without sacrificing data is rare in this breed. That is why our goal is to combine the best of both worlds by blending performance with phenotype. Lots 45-49 are the type of bulls that will work on a herd looking to inject performance, maternal traits or phenotype. They are that versatile.

I don’t even know where to begin on this bull. No matter how you look at him he is one good bull. He is a dark cherry red, beautifully constructed crea- ture. He stands on a wide base, is heavy muscled, deep sided and well endowed. If I could keep this bull back I would use him as our herd sire on our heifers. Yosemite on the top side gives the added growth and performance with adina on the bot- tom side enhancing the maternal capabilities of this young stud. We purchased adina as a heifer calf from 5L because it didn’t matter what color she was, she was flat good. Stormy is a well bal-anced combination of growth with a BW to YW spread of 96 and still has a plenty of milk. If you are looking to take your program to the next step, this bull will do the job for you!

We purchased an exciting cow/calf pair from Wildcat Creek Ranch in KS and this is the standout bull that was at side. He embodies all we appreciate about the Cowboy Cut progeny – impressive in his muscle pattern, free in his movement and joint angles, attractive in his overall balance, and strong in his weights and performance. His mother is one you’ll hear more from. She was 13.5 years old while nursing this calf and looked half her age. She is a maternal sister to the famous Blockana 692. astute cattlemen have been battling to own Blockana progeny for over 25 years because they repeatedly produce cattle like this one!

There is a long line of maternal greatness backing up lot 53’s pedigree. The Blockanna cow family from the Feddes Ranch has been highly sought after from cattlemen around the country. Blockanna 807 has produced females that have gone on to be donors and elite cows for operations across the country. Her sons have also gone on to become easy calving low maintenance herd sires for many operations from Nebraska to texas. SLgN Young gun 109Y is one of those sons that is really starting to turn heads with the progeny he has produced. Lot 53 has the potential to become the next great bull from the Blockana 807 cow family. I believe he has the potential to produce some phe-nomenal females that a cattleman or cattlewoman would want to build an operation around. The Cowboy Cut sons are exceptional in their own right. They can produce progeny that are very versatile. Some folks love the Cowboy Cut sons they buy for their growth and pounds while others love them for the type of females they can pro-duce. This bull may do the same for you. He has all the potential in the world to be the next combination sire for your operation.

These age advantaged bulls can be utilized in a lot of programs but I think they will work best in ones looking to produce exceptional fe-males. Their dam, HXC Jolene 301N was one of the stoutest featured, soggiest middled females who still combined all that power in a smooth feminine brood cow package. Her sons have her smooth shoulder and clean joints which lead me to think these bulls could work on heifers. We never like to push our 18-month bulls too hard while they are developing for many reasons but mostly because we want them to be in breeding condition when you pick them up. Lots 55-58 are in breeding condition and are ready to start making you money!

Monte Dam to Lots 59-61

JRa Monte 91 is one of a handful of Mon-tana Creek daughters in production. Mon-tana Creek died at a young age and it is a shame because he can produce some momma cows like very few other bulls in the Red an-gus breed. Monte 91 was purchased from the James Red angus dispersal and we havebeen very pleased with how well she hasbeen producing for us. Lots 59-61 are rugged made bulls that have proven genetics stand-ing behind them. Cowboy Cut sons have been selling in our bull sale for the last 3 years and every year they are still some of the more sought after pedigrees in our sale. I think that speaks for itself. take one or all three of these brothers home on sale day and you will understand why producers are in love with the Cowboy Cut sons.

Pictured below is our customer Mike Lorenzen’s Commercial Red angus herd. The calves at side are sired by Yosemite, Yardmaster and Mission Statement.

Page 28: 2015 The Cattlemens Bull Sale

I have a list of some of my favorite matings of all time and the Cowboy Cut X “Nicki” mat-ing is very close to the top. a full sister to these bulls sold as a heifer calf in 2013. as a heif-er calf she was stout, long patterned and big boned but as a bred she had developed into a female that had brood cow written all over her. These two bulls have been just as exciting to watch develop into young sires. They are built on a solid foundation, explode with muscle from behind and profile with lots of swoop to their underline. Their ePD’s read with a ton of growth and carcass quality. Cattle that look good on paper is one thing but when they look good in person and have heifer mates that are already making a name for themselves, that is what raises the bar.

Conquest 763 has been a favorite since birth. He’s packing a lot of red meat in a very sound, attractive package, and is out of a tremendous first calf heifer. Use this bull to enhance muscle dimension and fleshing ability, improve udders and feet, and increase ribeye size without sacrificing calving ease. This is the type of bull we’d love to have hundreds of.

This bull is out of a favorite, long-spined, milky Jackhammer daughter from the everelda entense cow line. He was a twin and the cow raised both calves. This calf will outperform his phenotype and leave long spined, easy calving, muscular calves!

I really wish we had time to get a picture of this bull because he is pretty cool. He has style, dimension, body and he is out of a young cow that has a very bright future at our place. The dam 038X is long patterned, smooth made and is loaded with muscle and power. Ruger has been doing very well for breeders in Canada and only a few people have used him in the states. Here is a chance at some outcross genetics.

Heifer bull right here! I always believe a good bull comes from a good cow and in this case that couldn’t be more right. The Samantha cow catches your eye everytime you set foot in the pasture. Big, soggy and just gorgeous. armageddon gets his volume and phenotype from his mom. This bull has a great spread on growth and look at his actual data. Very impressive numbers for a heifer bull.

Here is a moderate framed son of Red Fox that is sure to inject pounds into his progeny. His maternal grandam is a full sister to the heavily used PIe advance 121R who was known for putting muscle into his calves. top and bottom this pedigree is loaded with performance. The age advantaged bulls have been raised on a high roughage diet allowing them to be ready to breed as soon as they leave the sale.

Natural calf out of a 10 year old cow that has been a very consistent producer for us. This Red Fox son would be perfect to use on replace- ment females to get those low birth weight easy calving babies on the ground.

I really appreciate the length of body and dimension they both have. Lot 71 has some exceptional scan data with a 5.09 IMF and a 12.5 Rea. The dam to all four lots on this page is doing a great job for us and we couldn’t be more excited to have her in our program.

70Destiny 9039 as an open heifer

Lot 72 & 73 are two full brothers that can be used on your heifers and I would venture to say you will be able to sleep easy during calving season. These bulls have a great birth to yearling spread and they come from an incredible Destined 661 daughter that we have been using extensively in our angus program. No matter what you are looking for these brothers have it. Performance, carcass data, mater-nal traits. I am confident these bulls will work for you.

This Upward son will add extension, muscle and he is another bull that you can use comfortably on heifers. Upward 4102, I believe is a bull that can produce outstanding progeny for a purebred or commercial operation. He only weighed 68 lbs at birth and at a year of age had an impressive 1328 lb YW. He scanned a 14.4 Rea and still maintained a 4.39 IMF. High quality genetics in this lot.

Lot 75 is a little green in his type and kind but I will guarantee this bull will be able to hold his own breeding cows. The Brave bull is known for adding length and Destiny 9038W is known for adding muscle and volume. The two together make for a cross that is very versatile. He can be considered a growth and carcass oriented bull, or he can be your bull to make replacement heifers.

a low birth weight bull is what lot 76 is. I believe you can use him on well managed heifers and go through calving season with ease. This bull has some impressive scan numbers. a 5.64 IMF and a 12.8 Rea lead me to believe he will inject his progeny with a high quality carcass that will be most desirable for the packer. He will have ePD’s on sale day. We are currently waiting on an aI certificate to get him regis-tered.

I believe that cattle must have a certain look to them before they can be analyzed on paper. I like them to present a big top, wide pin set, muscle shape in their lower quarter, good swoop to their underline and plenty of length of body. along with that I really appreciate a bull that is still sound with all that power. The Kodiak 5R bull was a sire that caught my eye a few years back because of his visual composition. I was impressed with his structural soundness, the amount of bone he stood on and how much volume and muscle he had in relation to other bulls his same age.

This set of 4 brothers is the reason why I am glad I used Kodiak. They have most of the traits Kodiak has that made me want to use him. Their dam 9039 is the same dam to the two Final Product and Resume sons previ-ously lotted. She is a phenomenal cow for us. Note the Kodaik 4103 is the only yearling in the group.

Lot 81 is moderate framed, smooth made, deep bull that comes from a really nice eXt daughter. The 320J cow was stout and powerfully constructued. I just loved her big long hip. Her son has that same length and hip. a 70 lb. birth weight and a 1229 YW shows this bull has the growth required by industry standards.

Impressive growth curve on this bull. Lot 82 is one of our more moderate framed 18-month old bulls in the offering but don’t let his frame fool you, this bull is loaded. He is an athletic bull that is very desirable in the angels to his skeleton. His dam is another one of our outstand- ing donor females who is very consistent in producing quality cattle that have performance to boot.

Quaker is my favorite bull in the Black angus offering because of his pedigree. His sire was one of our best producing bulls on the place and we lost him too early. His bulls have always been consistently easy fleshing, stout and docile. Don’t let this bulls ePD’s shy you away. I know he will perform better than what they predict. I would not hesitate to use him on heifers and I highly reccomend retaining his females to use in your herd.
