Empowering female innovators of the future! Since 2009, Technovation has graduated 2,750 young women in 28 countries who created apps to improve their communities, making Technovation the farthest­reaching and longest running program for girls in tech. Each team is led by a woman in technology who acts as the team’s mentor, guiding the team’s app and business development and ultimately helping the team pitch their new company to potential investors. The program has positive effects on both girls and mentors.

46% of Technovation alumnae want to major in computer science Each June, the top ten Technovation teams travel to Silicon Valley for the Technovation World Pitch Event, where they pitch their apps to a panel of judges for the chance to win $10,000 in seed funding to help make their app a reality. In addition to the team pitch competition, this year, we’re adding an interactive conference element to the event ­ engaging more women and more girls in finding solutions to real world problems using technology.
