B I O G R A P H Y

Young Kong grew up like any other avid music lover, and fan. At a young

age, his influences and favorite artists included Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Backstreet Boys, 2 Pac and Biggie. His first interactions with the culture

of Music, notably Hip Hop came via days spent at a youth center in his neighborhood; There he was privileged to receive DJ lessons. Dylan Harris,

Better Known as Young Kong, a nickname he adapted as a result of his adoration for the cinematic character, always knew that music was his first love. The youth center, and DJ lessons, were not something of convenience,

rather an initiative, as the locale a bit of a ways from where he worked. Nevertheless he made the trek daily to learn as much as he could about the creativity

and business of music.

What started out as a hobby took the form of an ambition, something he found himself enamored with and wanting to be a part of. One night while at

a friend’s house, Kong was convinced to toy with the idea of songwriting and recording. The challenge developed into his first single which he titled Crank Dat Dy-Lan. Little did he know, once it was heard, it began to create a buzz

for the young rapper on the local rap scene.

From that point on, wherever Young Kong went, he received a great reception and feedback on his music. That in and of itself provided the exact

motivation that he needed to pursue a career in music. His follow-up single "Wickity" What after actually became the perfect compliment, and both received

much fanfare and views on MySpace. Before he knew it, the DJs were calling and his music was added to the rotations of certified industry vets the likes of DJ Lord Rave, DJ Iko and DJ King Assassin.

Capitalizing off the momentum his first two singles have created, Young

Kong has been hard at work ever since creating music which people have come to expect of him. With the release of his third single D Boy Dancing off his forthcoming

LP Kong Appreciation due later this year, Kong looks to solidify his fan base as well as heighten awareness of who he is artistically was well as

personally. An artist indeed, Kong's recent recordings convey his progress and maturation. Principles of his, as well as everyone associated with his music and brand.

Giving thanks to his family and friends who have been his biggest supporters, Young Kong realizes that without them, and hard work, none of his dreams would come to fruition. The only place left to go from here is

the top of not only the billboards, but the world; one single at a time.
