Thank you for creating countless memories for Northern California

children in need. Your philanthropic spirit lives on in all those you touched.

  • 11

In 2015, the Northern Light School, whose mission is to educate the whole child, instituted The Barry Taylor Award for Compassionate Action in honor of TTFF Co-founder Barry Taylor (1938 - 2013). Barry was committed to Northern Light School, never missing an event or opportunity to be involved with their students. This award recognizes students who have gone above and beyond what is expected of a Northern Light School graduate and who give of themselves in a spirit of unending generosity in service, both public and private.

Northern Light School is committed to providing a high quality education for children from all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. The faculty and staff create an atmosphere where every child can grow academically, emotionally, physically, and spiritually, to become healthy, productive members of their families and communities. The focus is on academic excellence as well as non-violence, acceptance of differences, respect for the environment, and the moral advancement of humanityso that the children develop an understanding that they have a responsibility to make a difference in the lives of others.

    The Taylor Family Foundations

Mission to Send Children to Camp

The Fremont Rodent Society is comprised of local merchants and businesspeople who provide support for each other, as well as local charities, schools and city-wide services. The club began in 1992 with four original members, and has grown to more than 120 members over the past few years. Since that time, the Rodents have participated in local and Bay Area humanitarian events including feeding the hungry, fund raising events for local law enforcement and fire departments, and raising money and awareness for various local womens' shelters. Our largest annual event, the Fremont Rodent Society Golf Tournament, has generated over $500,000 for local charities since 1992.
