The Importance of Art in Child Development

The Arts provide a wonderful avenue for our young members to express themselves and to build self-confidence. Simple creative activities are some of the building blocks of child development. Learning to create and appreciate art may be more important than ever to the development of the next generation of children as they grow up.

In keeping with our mission to inspire all young people to reach their full potential, our Arts programming encourages our kids to be creative in a relaxed setting. Our Art Room provides a safe and nurturing place for members to try their hand at a number of mediums under the caring supervision of our professional staff.

There is room in our programs for young artists at every skill level to have fun as well as time for the serious young artist to be encouraged and supported.

If you have any question about our Arts programs, please contact Terence Jason Dorman, Director of Social Recreation, at 516-676-1460 Ext. 19 or [email protected].
