Together, we have created something very special here in the Mississippi Delta. For 22 years now, we have been boldly inspiring audiences and future generations with the best of the performing arts.

This season, we continue in that tradition and also begin in a new direction as we expand our programming. Recognizing a need to provide affordably-priced opportunities for our youngest patrons, we are pleased to introduce the FAMILY SERIES. Performances in this series are aimed at a variety of ages, and offer an opportunity to introduce a love of the arts at an early age.

Our audience has asked for more classical music programming, and we are excited to debut the RECITAL HALL SERIES. Featuring ticket prices that include a social hour with hors d’oeuvres, we hope to provide patrons with a space to come together prior to enjoying a performance.

From national Broadway tours to concerts by award-winning artists to dance perfornances to children’s programs, I think you will agree that we have something for everyone in the upcoming season.

Thank you for your continued support of the Bologna Perfoming Arts Center. If you would like to be a part of ensuring a vibrant future for the arts in the Delta, please visit page 17 or call me at (662) 846-4625 to learn more about our Annual Membership Program and how your gifts can make a difference.

We hope that you will be BOLDLY INSPIRED this season!

THE AVETT BROTHERS

TUESDAY • OCTOBER 4, 2016 • 7:30PM • MAIN STAGE

TRAVIS TRITT | More than 25-years after Travis Tritt launched his music career, the Grammy award-winning artist continues to sell-out shows, top sales charts and stay true and relevant to Country music fans across the globe. A Marietta, Ga. native, Travis Tritt is dubbed one of “The Class of ‘89,” which included Country music superstars Garth Brooks, Clint Black and Alan Jackson; all of whom dominated the charts in the early ‘90s. Among his eleven studio albums and numerous charted singles are nineteen Top 10 hits, including “Modern Day Bonnie and Clyde,” “Love Of A Woman” and “T-R-O-U-B-L-E.” His twenty-five year career has produced millions in album sales, two Grammy award wins and multiple No. 1 singles on the Country radio charts.

When you’re receptive to the forces around you, you’ll notice there’s something powerful in the air. It’s that feeling of inspiration to which GRAMMY nominated Americana folk-rock band The Avett Brothers consistently remain open. It’s a spirit that courses through everything they do.

The Avett Brothers release their ninth album, “True Sadness,” on June 24, 2016. Over the past 16 years, over three thousand shows, eight albums, and hundreds of thousands of miles later — somewhere along the way, the line between the pursuit of music and what The Avett Brothers recognized as their daily lives faded, then evaporated altogether, and their songs have become increasingly reflective in their nature — open, honest, and to some extent, autobiographical.

The Avett Brothers’ narrative folk-rock tells bigger stories about what it means to be Southern, to be American, to be alive. The Avett Brothers combines bluegrass, country, punk, pop melodies, folk, rock and roll, indie rock, honkytonk and ragtime — producing a unique sound that delights audiences of all ages.

Called “one of the most promising young talents in country music” by Country Music North, Luke Combs’ unapologetic style and fearless vocal abilities is beginning to cause quite a stir in Nashville.

Year after year, audiences worldwide keep coming back for more of this pulse-pounding electrifying show. As the Boston Globe says, “If you haven’t seen STOMP, GO! If you have seen it, take someone and share the pleasure!” STOMP. See what all the noise is about.

When the leading lady breaks her ankle, Peggy takes over and becomes a star. With a book by Michael Stewart and Mark Bramble, music by Harry Warren and lyrics by Al Dubin, this sparkling new production will be directed by co-author Mark Bramble and choreographed by Randy Skinner, the team who staged the 2001 Tony® Award-winning Best Musical Revival.

Young Emmett crossed that line and stepped into his gruesome fate by whistling at a white woman. This riveting play chronicles the murder, trial and unbelievable confession of the men accused of Till’s lynching. The one-actor, multiple-character original drama is performed by Mike Wiley, a North Carolina-based actor & playwright whose compelling works of documentary theatre yield rich and powerful journeys to milestones and turning points of a cultural history.
