Point, Line, Surface, Space, Time.Through collecting items and sensing the mo-ments to figure out the different orders of various things, of which the new rules are created beyond ordinary words. I always try to explore diverse objects and situa-tions as well as their relations with artworks, the observers and the sites in the specific moment.

Circle of SequencesKreis der Sequenzen

(2017)

carousel slide projector, timer, 80 dia slides, tool cart, board

A movement in the cycle of my dreams.

I draw a circle in the soil with my hand.I repeat this movement and it gets a little different every time.

This short snapshot remains and when I recall this memory, the same scene appears with the same actions, the same lighting condi-tions and the same feelings that are apparently stored.

Dreams become memories, although these experiences never happened in real life.

Slideshow- This type of presentation, in which one takes photos and pictures from the past to tell stories, enables a journey back in time.

The change of image or the noise of the change of image creates clear sections between individual images, each image follows the next and there is a movement that makes dream memories visible.

The Fleeting PresenceDie vergängliche Anwesenheit

(2017)

vintage wooden refrigerator, ice block, flower, black ribbon

( Location: Westbahnstraße 39, Vienna)An art contribution for the opening event of „Steine der Erinnerung“.

Remembrance is an action in which we perceive our existence. In my work I deal with a past that I only know from stories. This topic should concern us all.

My information about the owner of this house are the following:Benjamin Fischer, born on May 2nd, 1872, ran a grocery store in this house, was deported to Riga on February 6, 1942 and murdered in Theresienstadt on December 25, 1942.This is the data that has been shared with me about this house.

My interpretation of this is a vintage wooden refrigerator from that time and it was maybe used in this form in the grocery store. This old fridge was the cooling device because conventional refrigerators, as we know it did not exist at that time.

Over time, the solid ice block becomes water. The water runs and leaves traces that gradually disappear. This melting process of the ice is a symbol of the impermanence and a characteristic that accompanies our life.Time flies. Over time, the memories become mild and misty.

To delay movement or action until the arrival or occurrence of certain conditions. (Definition of the verb „wait“, Wiktionary)

You give your identity away by taking a waiting number to make an application. There is a matter which has to be dealt with. Here you become a number, for example No. 105 - you wait until you get called. If you don‘t follow this rule, you won‘t get what you want. After getting this permission to enter the room, you become a person with name again.

You accidentally crumpled, rolled, or folded your waiting number in your hand while waiting. This movement leaves traces of the subconscious on the note. A waiting person is visible through this physical imprint.

To create an abnormal situation of waiting where you do not know what you will experience in the room behind the waiting room. Waiting as an experience and as the content of this work.

Instructions: 1) Waiting Area 2) Please draw a number here and wait until your number is called. Thank you! 3) Please do not enter the room until your number get called. Thank you! 4) Please insert your number here. Thank you! 5) Let time pass or be idle until a certain condition arrives (verb), Wiktionary

How to see through the windowsand see through the fog

we perceive the spaceand try to define itas objects or subjects we have already known

Ensuring that we do not lose ourselves.

In the airplane, we see the sky changing differently through the window. But actually, the sky doesn’t change, it stays the same.Only the “View” changes. Every individual has their own way to observe things due to their cultural or social backgrounds.

This project aims to create a space which would confuse the visitors by its formation and composition. “Where is here actually? How I sense this space? What to see, to hear or to perceive? How should I, as the subject at the site, understand this space?” The visitors will keep asking themselves where they are right now and trying to define the space. The sound device points out the world outside the windows, yet the visitors can sense it differently from inside, because the windows create the certain “ways of seeing”. The way we see things is affected by what we know or what we believe. - John Berger

Hide behind your curtain

(2019)

diverse textiles, diverse cloth racks, curtain rings, stainless-steel wires with screw lock

Have you ever felt embarrassed unexpectedly during an exhibition?

A kind of feeling of embarrassment just somehow, from somewhere hits me.No matter with friends or alone in an exhibition, there is sometimes a moment, in which I don’t know how to behave.Should I still stay in the exhibition, or just leave? No matter how I act, I still feel embarrassed, without any reason.Just like the whole world is suddenly watching at me, nevertheless,I want neither to leave nor to stay.Perhaps there is somewhere, where I can hide for a moment.I still want to enjoy the exhibition.

This project creates an opportunity providing different curtains during the exhibition, so that the visitorscan hide behind their own curtain for a while due to some awkward moments and embarrassing feelings. The visitors can take a curtain (which install on a movable cloth hanger) with them while they visit theexhibition, when the feeling of embarrassment suddenly comes to them, there is a curtain where thevisitors can hide until they feel better.
