these days. The headline news of the month is Lexmark’s acquisition by the Apex

Technology-led consortium for $3.6B. Who would have thought that an aftermarket

company could ever compete with a giant OEM ten years ago, let alone buy an OEM

company outright?

It leads us to wonder, what does this acquisition mean to the industry as a whole,

and to your business in particular? We all have many questions in mind, trying to gain

a clear understanding of a rather positive, forward-looking picture. Will the line the

between OEMs and the aftermarket become less distinguishable, and will this unlock

increased possibilities to gain more market share?

The major Chinese companies have taken steps to merge and consolidate in recent

years. Will this consolidation stop the unhealthy pricing decline, increase high quality

products, and a lead to the development of a much healthier industry ecosystem?

Apex Technology and PAG Lead Acquisition of Lexmark

Hong Kong– A consortium led by Apex Technology Co. Ltd. and PAG Asia Capital and including Legend Capital Management Co. Ltd. Announced a definitive merger agreement with global printing and imaging solutions provider Lexmark International.

The consortium has agreed to acquire Lexmark for US$40.5 per share in an all-cash transaction with an enterprise value (including unfunded pension liabilities and disclosed restructuring costs) of approximately US$4 billion.

Lexmark is a world renowned leader in printing, imaging and data solutions. The agreement will enable Lexmark to continue to focus on strategic initiatives it has embarked upon while substantially expanding its access to vast market opportunities in Asia.

“We are very excited for this strategic union between Lexmark and Apex. We believe it is most compelling as the two businesses are highly complementary to each other. China Advancing Steadily in 3D Printing in Space Project

Whenever one country accomplishes something with a lot of potential implications, it will soon be followed by others. NASA last year sent a 3D printer in space and this printer worked in zero gravity. Now the Chinese Academy of Sciences has announced it is working on its own zero-gravity 3D printer.

The project is led by the Technology and Engineering Center for Space Utilization and the most recent stage in its development was a series of tests in zero-gravity conditions conducted in France. The tests involved two printing methods and five printing materials, including one that has not been tested by Nasa.

There is little information about the printer besides details about its print area, which is 220x140x150 mm, making it larger than the NASA printer. No details have been provided as to when the project will be tested in real space, either.

MIT Team 3D Prints Walking Robot

A team of researchers has managed to 3D print in one go a walking robot that moves through a hydraulic mechanism. The unique thing is that the robot, including the liquid that sets the hydraulic mechanism in motion, was printed as a whole, not as separate parts. The team, from MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, calls its method “printable hydraulics”. This method, according to the laboratory’s head Daniela Rus, shows the viability of the “fast fabrication” of functional robots that can be used for a variety of tasks.

The robot is six inches long, has six legs, on which it glides propelled by the liquid in its hydraulic system, and weighs just a pound and a half. Besides the hydraulics, it uses a motor and a battery, and can be remotely controlled with a smartphone.

MIT Researchers Print with Molten Glass

A team of researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of

Technology have designed a 3D printer that uses molten glass as filament. The project is a collaboration between Dr. Pierre-Thomas Brun, instructor in Applied Maths, and famous designer Neri Oxman and her team.

Glass is a bit tricky as filament: the temperature of the printer needs to be kept within very strict limits to make it usable. The results are truly astonishing – they resemble art works but the technology is sure to have industrial applications as well because of the unique characteristics of glass as a material.

The researchers claim that the items they 3D printed from glass have the same mechanical characteristics of traditionally produced glass, as well as its aesthetic properties. In short, mastering glass in 3D printers seems to be the latest frontier that has been pushed back by the technology.

CAD Industry Enjoys Huge Growth Potential with 3D Printing

A new survey has revealed what should hardly be a surprise: 3D printing is a major growth driver for the computer-aided design industry. The survey, carried out by B2B market research firm Business Advantage Group, involved 610 industry experts from around the world. The study identified as major drivers, besides 3D printing, also mobile access to CAD and augments or virtual reality applications.

Among the results was also the growing prominence of CAM, or computer-aided manufacturing, which focuses on 3D printing. As much as 60% of the respondents in the survey who use or plan to start using CAM said they wanted to see better integration between CAD and CAM. In other words, CAM is getting increasingly popular fast.

The CAD industry in general is healthy, the report concluded. Almost 60% of CAD users download 3D models at least once a month, and industrial users download more than once model every month. The number of people who almost never download a 3D CAD model has dropped to just a tenth of respondents, and it seems that 3D printing

has a lot to do withi this trend.

Food 3D Printing Still Has Long Way to Go

There is a lot of buzz around 3D printing food but the reality is that 3D printer makers still have a long way to go. Basically, what we see right now is either modifications of 2D printers, such as the PancakeBot, or limited-application machines like the Foodini and the Chefjet.

The PancakeBot resembles a regular FDM printer but instead of plastic, the printhead extrudes pancake mix onto a heated surface, basically making normal pancakes, just in different shapes.

The Foodini, on the other hand, allows chefs to blend different foodstuffs into purees and then have these printed in various original shapes. Again, nothing like replacing a real pizza or a steak.

3D Systems’ Chefjet is even more limited in its applications: it prints with sugar and water. This may be great for wedding cake decorations but not much else.

In other words, at the moment 3D printing for the food industry lacks the most important feature of a new technology: utility.

Haute Couture in Every Home with 3D Printing

3D printing is being taken on by many in the fashion and sports industry. While at the moment 3D printing in fashion is a rarity used for experiments, it seems that a future, in which anyone would be able to create an haute couture garment in the comfort of their own home (or order it online) is not that far away.

The Metropolitan museum in New York is now preparing for its Manus x Machina, an annual spring exhibition that will this year, starting May 5, will show visitors some of the things 3D printing is capable of. The exhibition’s curator, Andrew Bolton, says 3D printing has the same disruptive potential as the sewing machine once did.

If one thinks about it, that might even be an

understatement. To use a sewing machine, you need some training, some skill and, not least, time. 3D printing software is getting increasingly user-friendly by the day, almost, and it does not require the time commitment, even physical presence of the user. Imagine a future, in which you just get a 3D printable design file with an houte couture dress, feed it into your 3D printer, and go about your own business while the machine does all the work for you.

Such a future is not so close, granted – the fashion industry uses industrial-scale machines, not desktop printers – but it’s hard to say how far it is, either.

Second 3D Printer Headed for ISS

NASA is preparing to send a second 3D printer to the International Space Station on the Cygnus spacecraft, which will leave the Earth on March 21. The printer will replace Made in Space’s first ever device capable of 3D printing in zero gravity, and will be capable of working with a wide variety of thermopolymers, the company said.

The second printer is twice as big as the first one but portable, and will be used by the astronauts to make parts and tools as they need them. It has a much larger printing area and is also capable of using multiple materials with higher accuracy and speed. It has been designed to last

as long as the ISS itself.

Low-Cost Device Turns Smartphones into 3D Printers

A device that sells for $99 can turn any smartphone into a 3D printer. Of course, this printer would not be able to print a replacement part for your car or computer, but it can print any small plastic item you fancy.

The device, called OLO, consists of a reservoir with a capacity of 400 cu cm, 100 g bottles of photopolymer resin, and a lid, that hosts the electronics that make the whole thing work plus the build plate.

All you need to do is get a design and upload it into the OLO app, which is available for all operating systems, then place the smartphone at the base of the OLO with the touchscreen facing up and then place the lid on top of

it. The lid features a polarized glass at the bottom, which diffracts the light from the touchscreen so that it flows straight up and cures the resin in the desired shape.

Biodegradable Trachea Added to 3D Printing Accomplishments in Medicine

Scientists from the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research have successfully created tracheal cartilage from a special sort of cells and collagen, which they shaped into a tracheal segment using a 3D printed scaffold. For this, they used the MakerBot Replicator 2X.

The benefits of the experiments are several: it proves that a tracheal segment can be made using a patient’s own cells, which is invariably better than using artificial tissue; it also provides doctors with a fast way of creating a model that can then be tweaked and changed to suit a patient’s need in a mater of hours.

GE Uses 3D Printing to Change the Whole Supply Chain

Last year GE opened what it calls a Multi-Modal facility in India. The plant produces a range of components for the power, aerospace, and water treatment industries, using 3D printing. The technology can save massive amounts of money for the company.

On the one hand, it needs less labor and on the other, it makes things more easily than traditional manufacturing. For example, if a component in a complex machine breaks down, replacing it could be a difficult feat as rare components are hard to find and deliver. Not infrequently, they even have to be designed and made from zero. 3D printing, however, can make them in a matter of a week, as opposed to a few months for traditional manufacturing.

Aside from saving costs itself, with the plant GE will bring benefits for its employees and subcontractors. Since it makes component parts for different industries, it will put employees in close contact with these, helping them build solid skills in more than one area. Professional skills are an issue in India, where unemployment is huge among the

young generation, and skills are scarce.

In addition, it could help its subcontractors as well, GE says. The Multi-Modal facility will help them meet the demands of the industries it services and build up their own capacity to meet the demands of the factory they will, hopefully, work with over the long term.

Aerospace 3D Printing Leader Expands Globally

Norwegian 3D printing company Norsk Titanium has sealed a long-term partnership deal with US Precision Holdings that will see the US company provide supply chain services to the Norwegian company. The agreement will help Norsk Titanium make their proprietary metal printing technology more widely available.

The company actually has two proprietary 3D printing processes: direct metal deposition (DMD) and rapid plasma deposition (RPD). Both technologies are much more cost-effective than rival ones, according to the two companies, and much faster as well, which has ensured Norsk Titanium’s leading position in its market segment.

Aerospace is one of the most significant growth markets for 3D printing. Norsk Titanium’s deal with Precision Holdings, a portfolio company of private equity firm Insight Equity Holdings, will fuel its global expansion, and not just in aerospace 3D printing applications but also across other industries, a Precision Holdings representative said in a press release.

3D Systems in Second Tie-Up with Sports Shoes Maker

3D Systems has closed another partnership in the sports shoes space, which is shaping up as a good source of growth for 3D printing players. This second partnership is with Under Armour, a giant in sportswear, which employed 3D Systems’ SLS technology for the production of a midsole for its UA Architect line. The first one, with New Balance, was also for a midsole for commercially marketed high performance sports shoes.

The UA Architect was a limited edition that only included

96 pairs with a price tag of $300, which were sold out within a day. The shoe is multifunctional, so it can be used for any

sports, with all their different demands on the body.

3D Systems Rating Upgrade Fuels Optimism About 3D Printing Majors

It takes just one stock rating upgrade to make investors’ eyes sparkle, apparently. At least that’s what happened after BofA Merrill Lynch analyst Wamsi Mohan upgraded his rating on 3D Systems to “Buy” from “Underperform” and raised the price target more than twofold to $26 from $11. What prompted the upgrade? The appointment of a new CEO following several months with an interim leader after the departure of Avi Reichental.

The new chief executive of one of 3D printing’s giants is Vyomesh Joshi, formerly executive vice president of imaging and printing at HP Inc. Following his appointment, 3D Systems’ stock jumped cheerfully on hopes Joshi will be able to turn the troubled company around. This jump pulled other 3D printing stocks up with it, with Stratasys gaining 5.9%, Voxeljet adding 8.6%, and ExOne gaining 7.6% after the news was announced.

Many analysts are of an optimistic bend and expect great things from 3D printing despite some bumps along the road that the big players in this field have encountered recently, and not just them. Despite a lot of buzz, 3D printing is still far from mainstream adoption, and that’s the main problem. However, the market is growing and will continue to grow at an impressive rate: Wohlers Associates’ annual report on the industry projects 29% growth for this year to $6.7 billion, followed by 31% in 2017 to $8.8 billion.

Much of this growth can be attributed to corporate adopters of the technology, giants like Lockheed Martin and Nike, among many others. These are the natural partners of both Stratasys and 3D Systems, after both more or less failed in the consumer segment. Yet, there are so many niches in the 3D printing market that any company can make it big as long as it targets the niche where it will bring the most value to users.

3D Printing To Help Boeing’s Certification Procedures

Boeing has found a way to use 3D printing as a means to simplifying and making more efficient its aircraft certification procedure. This way is fascinating: the company is thinking of simulating icing conditions on the aircraft. Icing is extremely dangerous for aircraft and could lead to fatal incidents.

The traditional way of testing aircraft for its behavior under iced circumstances, the machine is first put in a supercooled wind tunnel, where iced builds up on different parts of it. Then these accumulations are replaced with lighter than ice material – fiberglass and resin – mimicking exactly the shapes of the ice accumulations, and the aircraft is then taken into the air by a test pilot.

With the help of 3D printing, Boeing says it will be able to make artificial ice that is better suited to the specific requirements relevant to every kind of aircraft that is being tested. The shape of every “snowflake” can be made with specific thickness, texture, and shape to make sure they are as close to reality as possible and, what’s even better, the design files can be replicated.

3D Printing Used to Raise Awareness about Endangered Species

3D printing marketplace Threeding and 3D scanner maker Artec 3D have joined forces to raise awareness of endangered species by offering Threeding users printable files of the animals. The files are made using Artec’s scanners to create 3D models of species such as the Humboldt penguin, the eastern imperial eagle, the boreal owl, and the black-crowned night heron, among others.

The files can be downloaded for free until the end of April, after which Threeding will start charging a modest fee, which will only apply to individual users. Access to the files

will continue to be free for educational institutions.

build much bigger items that any standard industrial 3D printer. The printheads work in unison, either all together or different heads on different parts of the item, speeding up production. What’s more, they are modular, so while several are used for printing, others can be employed for other purposes such as removing support structures needed only for the printing process. One printhead can also act as a robot hand, to remove a completed item or change its position during printing.

Aether 1 - the Do - it - All Printer

Engineers in 3D printing know no boundaries: a San Francisco startup has designed a multifunctional 3D printer that can do anything from bioprinting, to printing electronics, to printing food. This is a first for the sector, as most machines are limited to printing with just one type of material, be it plastics, metals, or paper even.

The Aether 1 can even print with two different types of materials simultaneously: the company said it can work with up to eight viscous materials plus two filament materials at a time. In its food printer function, the Aether1 can work simultaneously with up to eight materials. It can also double as a CNC miller and a laser cutter. As if this is not enough, the machine has a robotic arm that can do calligraphy, draw, and paint.

According to the company, the Aether 1 will allow innovators to unleash their powers of innovation and push the boundaries of what is possible further away.

Carbon’s M1: The Fastest 3D Printer

Speed is a top priority in the 3D printing space. News about faster and faster printers regularly makes headlines. It seems that the current holder of the title is Carbon’s M1 industrial printer. The machine, which took over $140 million in venture capital investment to develop, uses UV light to cure liquid resin in the desired shape, and it does it 100 times as quickly as comparable machines, Carbon says.

The company targets specifically the business world. It has already partnered with giants such as Johnson & Johnson,

Ford, BMW, and Kodak, providing them with whatever items they need 3D printed. From this year, Carbon is also starting to offer the services of its M1 to businesses under a subscription program that costs $40,000, including software updates, plus an installation fee of $10,000 and charges for the printing material.

Some industry observers worry about the durability of Carbon’s products, citing the tendency of plastic to wear out quickly, but the company counters these concerns with the fact that it uses industrial-standard tests for its finished products, and that the unique technology the M1 employs actually strengthens the plastic, rather than weakening it.

MakerBot Replicator Continues to Improve

The fifth generation of the MakerBot Replicator, recently released, is a demonstration of the constant drive for improvement. This latest addition to the Replicator lineup features enhanced printing accuracy with better user-friendliness and a reasonable printing speed.

The printer has new sensors aimed at streamlining the printing process and combined with the Smart Extruder + nozzle, they cut some 20 minutes off the total printing time for a job. On the flip side, the smart nozzle can only print one color at a time. Jams and breaks seem to be a thing of the past with the new filaments.

Aside from its accuracy and reliability, the fifth-generation Replicator gives users the freedom to do other things, while it works. It is equipped with print job monitoring and control features collected in a mobile app the user can download and use on iOS and Android devices. All in all, the new Replicator is a perfect choice for those who need to print physical objects on a regular basis.

A company representative told media that the time is ripe for cost reduction measures and finding new ways to add value to products – all things that 3D printing can for these industries.

US Patent Office Approves 2 XYZPriting Patents

The US Patent and Trademark Off ice has granted Taiwanese XYZPrit ing two patents, both regarding improvements to the precision of the 3D printing process.

The first patent is for a printhead module with a wiper to remove excess filament from the tip of the nozzle in multi-extruder 3D printers, whre this problem occurs commonly. Besides improving the quality of the print job, it also makes it easier to maintain the nozzles.

The second facilitates the monitoring of printing material by detecting the level of filament remaining without the user having to open the cartridge. Opening the cartridge takes time and efforts, the company said, so its engineers decided to solve the problem by installing two detectors on the sides of the printhead, which calculate exactly how much filament there is in the cartridge.

Last year XYZPrinting topped global desktop 3D printer shipments, accounting for 22% of the market. It is still betting big on consumer 3D printing but also has plans to

venture into industrial 3D printing and other applications of the technology.

Shapeways Launches New Printing Material

Shapeways, the 3D printing services providers, has added a new member to its printing materials lineup. The Black High Definition Acrylate is very smooth and durable, perfect for small and/or complex items with many details. The material is used in printers employing direct light projection technology (DLP), which is closest to stereolitography, with the only difference that it uses UV light to cure the resin, rather than a laser. Shapeways is currently encouraging the members of its online community to test the material and provide feedback.

Stratasys’ J750 Hits Markets

Stratasys, which has recently been only the star of not so good news, is once again in the spotlight but this time for a new printer, the J750, which, the company boasts, can mix more colors and more quickly than any other printer on the market today. According to the company that has been testing the machine since last year, OtterBox, with the J750 it takes half an hour to make a colorful phone case, compared with three days before.

The printer is an industrial-scale machine, so the price is appropriately high: in the six-figure range. However, the price tag varies based on region and specific purposes, for which it would be used.

As for the printer’s features, it can combine up to six different materials and combine as many as 360,000 colors. The materials are all plastics but this versatility still offers a variety o0f strengths, textures, flexibilities, etc. that would be welcome by companies that need rapid prototyping.

Structo, the creator of the liquid crystal masking 3D printing technology, has released two new printers: one specifically targeting the dental industry, OrthoForm, and another, more versatile one – OmniForm.

The two printers are smaller than the company’s flagship, RapidForm, but they are faster. This is especially important for the dental industry, where molds need to be made fast. OrthoForm can as many as ten molds in one go, which takes it less than half an hour, which is certainly impressive. It can also print customized retainers and aligners.

The OmniForm can be used by designers, architects and other professionals that need rapid prototyping in the literal sense of the word ‘rapid’.

New Fiberglass Filament Released by Markforged

Markforged, the company that designed the first 3D printer to work with fiberglass has now released a new printing material, twice as strong as the previous one and much more resistance to high temperatures, which makes it ideal for use in aerospace and car manufacturing.

The HSHT Fiberglass builds on the company’s original fiberglass material, the standard Fiberglass, which is 40% as still as carbon fiber (a marker of strength). Besides being twice as strong as this one, the HSHT Fiberglass has a 30% higher deflection point of 140 degrees Celsius, which means it can withstand temperatures of more than 105 degrees.

Marforged’s two printers, the Mark One and the new, faster, Mark Two, utilize a technology that involves two nozzles: one prints items from nylon and the other reinforces them with various materials, such as fiberglass, carbon fiber and Kevlar, which makes it a perfect fit for prototyping and even end product manufacturing.

DSM Launches 2 New 3D Printing Filaments

DSM, the materials developer, has stepped directly into the 3D printing market with two plastic filaments. So far, the company only participated in this market indirectly, through its photosensitive polymers, which were used by filament producers.

Now, the company is partnering with distributor Nexeo Solutions to market directly its Arnitel ID and Novamid ID. For this purpose, and in view of DSM’s ambitious plans for a

larger 3D printing presence, Nexeo will set up a special 3D printing business division.

Arnitel is a thermoplastic copolymer that, according to DSM, can be printed more quickly than other filaments in its category, and provides superior layer adhesion to other popular plastic filaments, such as PLA and ABS. In addition, the filament is very flexible, which makes it ideal for applications in electronics and sports equipment.

Novamid, on the other hand, features solid strength, toughness, and high temperature resistance – up to 150 degrees C. DSM says this material will be perfect for car components.

These filaments are just the first step for DSM. Given the huge growth potential of 3D printing, it’s no surprise that the materials company has set its eyes on it. DSM will specifically focus on FDM technology – the printers that use plastic and other polymer filaments.

XJet Showcases Liquid Metal 3D Printing Tech at AMUG

Israeli 3D printer manufacturer XJet wowed the audience at the Additive Manufacturing Users Group Conference last week with its Nano Particle Jetting technology. The tech, first publicized last month, is based on traditional inkjet printing principles that utilize droplets of liquid metal instead of ink.

According to industry observers, this constitutes a whole new approach to materials use. The metal sits in a cartridge, with each metal particle in a bubble of liquid to allow it to be extruded through the printheads. When the particle is extruded, the heat evaporates the liquid, leaving the metal. It sounds slow but XJet’s head Dror Danai says the printer can extrude 221 droplets per second, which certainly sounds impressive. The technology, unlike other metal-printing 3D tech, does not require removable supports that can damage the final product. XJet will officially present its new tech at RAPID 2016 this May.

HP Tackles Higher Security Risks with IDS, Secure PrintingIn an environment of increasingly serious risks of hostile individuals or entities getting access to information that is not supposed to be public and can harm the source it originates from, it is getting more and more challenging to make all aspects of a business operation safe.

To address the issue, HP has introduced intrusion detection systems (IDS) and secure printing functions to its new printers. PageWide Pro MFP 577DW – A Perfect Choice for the Small OfficeWe wrote about HP’s PageWide line, now here’s a review of one of these printers by Canada’s Financial Post. All in all, the reviewer agrees with the company: it’s a great printer for a small business. Great but a bit bulky.

The PageWide Pro MFP 577DW weighs almost 23 kilos and measures 31.6x 27.3x18.4 inches. At the same time, however, it’s a solid performer, capable of turning out up to 80,000 pages per month. Mid-size and larger organizations require durable devices that not only achieve daily tasks, but are fully designed to support increased frequency and variety of use. The high-speed (at up to 58 and 65 pages-per-minute, respectively, the fastest Canon single-function printers in the U.S. to date), high-paper capacity (up to 3600 sheets) imageCLASS LBP351dn and LBP352dn models can be configured with up to four optional cassettes, intended to reduce the number of times users must replace paper, and provide increased flexibility for firms needing to print on media of various sizes. Both products leverage new large capacity toner cartridges that last for up to 11,000 pages for the standard version and up to 25,000 pages for the high-yield version, enabling customers to maximize their return on investment.

Mid-size and larger organizations can also benefit from the features provided by the imageCLASS MF419dw and MF515dw models, which allow users to print directly from mobile compatible devices, while the MF515dw is also the fastest monochrome imageCLASS MFP to date at speeds up to 42 pages per minute. The MF515dw leverages toner cartridges that last for up to 6,000 pages for the standard version, and up to 12,500 pages for the high-yield version, enabling customers to maximize their return on investment. Furthermore, the MF419dw and MF515dw models – as well as the LBP253dw, LBP351dn and LBP352dn printers – support uniFLOW output management software, enabling enterprises to effectively manage the equipment in mixed-fleet environments.

Availability

The imageCLASS D1550 and D1520 copiers, MF416dw and MF414dw multifunction printers, and LBP251dw and LBP151dw printers will be available through select retailers beginning in April at minimally advertised prices (MAP) of $599, $499, $499,$399, $299 and $169, respectively. The imageCLASS LBP352dn, LBP351dn, MF515dw, MF419dw and LBP253dw machines will be available starting in May through exclusive channel resellers.

Ever since the closing of AQC GROUPs toner manufacturing facility in Florida, it has become increasingly evident that Distribution companies worldwide are in a very difficult position due to shrinking margins and increased shipping costs.

Continued consolidation is a fact of life in this industry and distributors will be squeezed out of the market, it is just a matter of time.

The Lexmark C925 series of printers are based on a 30 ppm color LED engine with a maximum resolution of 600 x 600 dpi. The first page out is stated to be under 9 seconds. The Printers memory is fixed at 64 MB.

The toner cartridges are just simple tubes. They will be included in a future “Easy to do” cartridge series, but there has been a lot of questions on them so we’re doing it now also.

New replacement chip (Check for the proper region and if C925 or X925)

1) Open the toner port by pressing down on the handle tab and turn the handle. Dump out as much toner as you can. See Figures 1 & 2

2) Using two common screwdrivers,

gently pry up each tab until the end cap starts to come loose. Be careful here! The plastic by the tabs can break if too much force is used. See Figures 3 & 4

3) Remove the end cap. See Figure 5

4) Slide the end cap completely out from the toner chamber. The shaft with the bag contains the waste toner. See Figure 6

5) Remove any remaining toner from the chamber. See Figure 7

6) If you removed the spring during cleaning, make sure the cross bar is facing out when re-installed. See Figure 8

7) Cut a small slot in the waste bag

8) Carefully vacuum out all the waste toner from the bag.

9) Using a good packing tape, seal the slot in the waste bag. See Figure 10

10) Close the port by turning the handle back so the tab locks in place. See Figure 11

11) Fill with toner for use in the Lexmark C925. See Figure 12

12) Slide the end cap back in place. Try to keep the filled toner chamber spring

side down and flat enough to get the waste bag inside but not so flat the new toner flows out. See Figure 13

13) Make sure all the tabs lock. See figure 14. If the end cap does not fit, turn the large gear until it does. This lines up the gear with the cross bar on the spring). See Figure 15

14) Remove the old chip and install the new one. See Figure 16

5 月 11 日,2016 SPARKON 北京 3D 打印高峰论坛在中国国际会展中心(老馆)

隆重举行。

3D 打印是极富创造力的新发现。我认为,人类之所以与众不同,是因为我

们人人心中存在着一团火焰,它是求知之火,是进化之火,促使我们不断地探索

世界、致力创新。现在,我们又迎来了一次全面超越自我的机会,因为我们拥有

我想,关心新兴科技的人对这个问题都有所期待。在本次展会上,我们的演

2015 年,我们可以用“颤颤兢兢”

四个字来形容传统产业面对市场时的心

态。在这一年里,办公耗材行业产能增长、

利润下滑,价格战已不再是大家热炒的

话题。电子商务、互联网思维、互联网 +、

020、免费平台、6 大商业模式转型 ...... 种

种对于传统行业来说较为新潮的概念需

要关注,让人晕头转向,传统行业也因

此乱象丛生。

听说,有位老板准备把半生的积蓄

砸入电子商务,要放手一搏;有个淅江

的鞋帽生意人抢鲜涉足 O2O,年销售额

达 6000 万,但是盘点时却发现自己亏了

500 万。有人讲:这些乱象都是马云惹

的祸,把线下传统产业搞乱了。

2015 年,办公耗材领域忙着兼并

整 合, 或 者 融 资 上 市, 或 者 进 电 商、

O2O、建网站。那么我们应如何看待新

形势下的市场场景,做好我们现在的事

业?

一、关键词:互联网

2015 年我们谈论最多的话题是互

联网。有数据统计,2015 年国内移动

设备数量达 10.5 亿。微信使用频次超过

QQ,月活跃用户 6.5 亿,微信已成为我

们生活中不可或缺的东西。

这些新事物的出现引起商业模式大

转变,直接受益的就是第三产业服务领

域:餐饮、出行、快递、购物。近几年

互联网公司如雨后春笋,如京东、百度、

阿里巴巴等,这些公司的出现大大方便

了我们的生活,改变了我们的生存方式,

就连第一产业农业和第二产业制造业也

在被慢慢浸透,以下是几个典型事例:

2015 年的“最火农民”用互联网销售“楮

桔”;第二制造产业内“3D 打印”、“智

能机器人”出现。

互联网的六大商业模式之一 O2O:

2015 年做 O2O 的改变生存条件举例:

月收入算:按摩师:12244 元;建设工人:

中国市场在发生着这样的变化。市

场的活力倒逼旧体制的战略转移。2015

年总理李克强多次在政府会议上,提出

互联网 + 计划,习主席在第二届互联网

世界大会上,提出推进全球互联网治理

体系变革的 4 项原则和共同构建网络空

间命运共同体的 5 点主张。标志着中国

的发展进入了新的时代。

阿里巴巴在 2015 年“双十一”做到

万国趋之若鹜,利润达到 912 亿,有人

称:阿里就是买东西的,他建立的淘宝

网平台,便捷了人们的生活。但马云称:

阿里公司的本质定义:是扩大数据价值

公司。2015 年马云拿下打的、视频、地

图德邦、优酷土豆、支付宝,这些兼并

收购举措,是为了做企业吗?挣利润吗?

不是,是为了收集各行业的大数据。听

说一位做化妆品生意的王韬,以前是做

房地产生意的,后来他把做房地产的积

累移到阿里平台,做化妆品的生意,每

年有几十个亿的生意。他说;移到阿里

做生意太好了,这里有数据,使他更了

解客户,清楚不同年龄结构的需求,它

像是土壤一样,提供着生意不断升级迭

加,越做越大。

互联网开辟了新的时代,它颠覆了

旧传统观念、旧习惯生存方式。马云名言:

“看不见、看不起、看不懂、来不及”。

就像科幻小说:“未来已经来临,只是

尚未流行。”

二、关键词:做好自己

1. 学会使用工具

2015 年有人理解电子商务,是到网

上买卖东西,在线上租个淘宝、天猫店,

包装一下,公司创新了。这种认知,就

出现前面谈到的,一盘点亏损的淅江生

意人。

互联网的定义:是重构人与世界的

关系,阿里利用提供数据能力,让旧资

源高效整合。腾讯 QQ、微信工具,提供

给人们更多的有价信息资源。

从这个定义理解,互联网是工具,

用好这个工具做好自己的事业。举例:

如:90 后小女孩设计一款衣服,稀

缺性,点击率高,流量 10 万,用这个数据,

找厂商做,每件挣 1 元,小女挣 10 万。

耗材行业;打印机不再是创新产品

就一定挣钱。颠覆着人们的传统观念。

一款性价比好,用户多,流量大,爆款,

在互联网的时代就会挣到钱。

2. 整合资源

互联网整合旧资源,为提高效率。

行业结构调整,是为降低成本。如鼎龙

整合名图,艾派克整合 SCC,这些全是

优质资源的整合,提高了行业整体的竞

争能力。

京东入股永辉超市。阿里巴巴与苏

宁云商战略合作。中信银行与百度发起

设立百信银行,是互联网公司与金融机

构将核心优势进行首度深度对接。

滴滴出行战略入股饿了么,双方携

手共同搭建同城配送体系。双方资源互

补,将极大增强彼此的业务侧翼。一方

面外卖为滴滴出行拓展“人”以外的运

输场景,丰富出行生态 ; 另一方面,汽

车运输也成为饿了么即时配送体系的重

要补充,搭建两轮电动车加四轮汽车的

“2+4”同城配送网络。

整合资源是为了加速的提高规模化

发展。

3. 挖掘客户需求

挖 掘 客 户 需 求 做 得 最 好 是 小 米。

2015 年虽然小米不如华为利润高,但是

小米接地气的手机产品,大为人们赞赏。

小米的功劳在于,这是第一款被贫

民阶层接受,使用上智能手机的产品。

他挖掘客户的需求措施:

建立 300 万人访问小米社区。提各

种建议。改建他们的产品功能。如:

很多粉丝给明星打电话,很烦恼,

提议做个只接通讯录电话的功能?后来

小米就有了这个功能。又如,设置了 VIP

电话,只有 VIP 才能 24 小时都打得通。

像这些功能都是客户发明的,厂家是想

不到。实际上,小米手机发起了一场群

众运动。

福建泉州某运动鞋公司老板在全国

开了上千家连锁店,网购给了线下的实

体店以致命的打击,为了保证盈利,公

司不停地关闭实体店。一次老板看到赵

薇书《亲爱的》,决定在童鞋中植入跟

踪芯片,这种防丢孩子的鞋子在市场上

大卖。

这就是典型的互联网思维,需要深

谙分众化的需求。

互联网是工具,也是一种先进的生

产力和先进的指导思想。如果能把这个

模式想透,应用到我们的业务里,那这

个业务一定会与众不同。

4. 做好自己

2015 年的大事件太多了。我们要找

到适合自己的商业模式构建的公司发展。

2015 互联网上做到最好的生鲜蔬菜水果

是诸橙,老人家没有建立诸橙网站,也

没有 APP,春花秋实,挣到了钱。有 3

点是值得我们借鉴学习:1. 利用全新的

基础设施。2. 塑造了新的成本结构。3. 打

开了新的交易入口。形成了 2015 年电商

大战的爆款。

褚时健与电商合作,成就了褚橙品

牌。他的故事也许无人能复制,但通过

互联网来塑造农产品品牌的经验,确是

传统农业与互联网企业融合的最好借鉴。

做好自己很重要。在互联网 B2B 的

耗材风口上,对企业家来说,如你在市

场生意中做得不好,你想把它往线上转

做好几乎是不可能的。应该用策略提升

自己的成功率,而不是盲目追捧跟风。

你可以迟到,但不能早退——2016 土耳其国际办公耗材展展会剪影

一、展会概述206 年 4 月 6 至 10 日,亚洲再生业 RechargeAsia 团队重

归土耳其千年名城伊斯坦布尔,举办了“2016 土耳其国际办公

耗材展 RechargeExop Turkey 2016”。本次展会继续与拥有

二十多年历史的土耳其办公文具展同期、同场举行,展会举办

场所也依然是土耳其知名的 CNR 场馆。基于去年的成功经验,

我们今年仍然选择与土耳其办公文具协会和 CNR 展馆进行合

作,此举保证我们展开各项工作时能更加驾轻就熟。

与中国国内或者欧美地区的展会不同,在中东西亚地区,

展会的观众往往以第二天以后居多,去年的展会情况便是明证。

从结果来看,今年的展会和去年有相似之处。由于土耳其特殊

的市场环境,展会经历了一个随时间推移慢慢升温的过程。展

会最后两天正逢周末,我们的土耳其展也迎来了观展高峰。对

于不熟悉土耳其市场,首次参加土耳其展的新展商们来说,这

无疑是意外惊喜。

观众构成方面,除了土耳其本地和欧洲地区的来访人士之

外,我们还迎接了来自突尼斯、以色列等地的新朋友。来自以

色列的观众表示,由于无法在迪拜等地转机,自己很难前往中

国拜访合作伙伴,本次土耳其展却为自己与老友相聚提供了便

利。

展会第四天晚上,土耳其办公文具协会于 CNR 展馆内举

办了晚宴,这也是每年办公文具展的保留项目。是夜,宾客觥

筹交错,盛况不输以往!

对于办公耗材行业来说,土耳其是一个十分有吸引力的新

兴市场,土耳其又是一个立志于要恢复昔日荣光的历史大国,

双方有着天然的合作土壤。亚洲再生业正是敏锐地意识到了这

一点,才在土耳其这块处女地举办行业展会,意图为土耳其和

国际办公耗材之间构建沟通的桥梁。

由于时局影响,一些参展商对展会有所顾虑,但是来到现

场后,大家的疑虑很快就烟消云散了。毕竟,参展效果才是重

中之重。

珠海泰格科技有限公司今年是连续第二次参加土耳其展,

其展位观众始终络绎不绝,公司的工作人员忙碌到连午饭都抽

不出时间吃。据泰格负责人介绍,来土耳其之前,公司在展前

准备时做足了功课,约了所有可以联系的客户和合作伙伴,因

此在展会现场也收获满满。

除了珠海泰格之外,武汉宝特龙、沧州艾斯克等企业也是

第二次参加土耳其展。

珠海美佳音科技有限公司和 General Plastic Industrial Co.,

Ltd. 也对本次展会十分重视,不仅为自己展位设置了特殊搭建,

还派出了自己的精英团队参展。对两家公司来说,本次土耳其

展最大的发现就是观众质量非常高,观展人士以专业人士居多,

而展会最后两天的火热氛围更是锦上添花。

无锡佳腾磁性粉有限公司和深圳市润金鑫科技有限公司对

展会则稍有遗憾。由于行程安排方面的问题,两家公司在展会

结束前就提前离开,一定程度上错过了最后两天的展会黄金时

间。时候,两家公司均对提前离开表达了遗憾之情,同时表示

来年将继续参加土耳其展。

Apex Technology and PAG Lead Acquisition of Lexmark

来自香港的消息,一家由艾派克科技股份有限公司(“艾

派克科技”)和太盟投资集团(“PAG”)主导、联想控股旗

下的君联资本(“君联”)参加的投资集团宣布收购全球成像

及打印解决方案供应商利盟国际。

该集团已同意以 40.5 美元每股、总价 40 亿美元的现金价

格收购利盟,该交易包括了未提及的利盟公司的养老金负债和

已披露的重组成本。

利盟是世界知名的成像、打印及数据解决方案领域内领先

者,此次交易将使利盟能够继续专注于之前已开始实施的种种

战略举措,同时大力开拓正在快速增长的亚洲市场。

平安证券近日对艾派克科技股份有限公司 2015 年的业绩

作出分析,并给出了对该公司 2016 年投资策略的建议。

分析称,艾派克科技 2015 年业绩符合预期 , 营收稳步增长 :

公司 15 年实现收入 2049 亿元 ( 与去年同期相比增长 22.03%),

归属母公司股东净利润为 281 亿元 ( 与去年同期相比减少

17.92%), 销售毛利率为 40.71%, 芯片、耗材和配件营收占比分

别 21.63%、63.69% 和 12.95%, 公司净利润下滑主要是汇率波

动及收购 SCC 后公允价值调整所致 , 公司业绩符合预期。打印

机行业是一个成熟稳定的行业 , 周期特点不明显 , 而且公司处在

细分行业的全球领先位置 , 因此受到经济波动影响较小。随着

打印机在亚洲、非洲、拉丁美洲等地区普及程度的提高 , 用户

国人热衷到国外购买商品,不远万

里地把洗发水、电饭锅、马桶盖塞进箱

子背回国。大家之所以购买这么多在国

内也有的同类产品,除了出于跟风,我

们也可以看到那些从内心里被产品感动

的消费者发出“好,就是好 !”的赞叹。

国外商品从细节入手,充满打动人

心的便利,做到这一步,产品不愁无销路。

再回到我国的数字印刷行业,我们看到

一些企业正在升级,开发新产品,实现

效益增长。

比如,某数字印刷企业研发出一种

个性化纸杯,拥有比普通的纸杯更长使

用时间,仅第一批订单就收回了研发投

资成本。再如,一款明信片印上二维码,

收信人通过手机扫描就能收听到来自朋

友的语音祝福,这样的产品受到消费者

除了数字印刷产品的升级外,数字

印刷服务优化也在不断方便消费者的操

拍摄日期,消费者还可以在照片下面编

辑文字。这些照片都是用手机拍摄、手

到消费者手中,价钱亲民。

用户如果觉得下载 App 麻烦,占用

手机空间,也可以进入某些微信公众号

直接制作少页的简单照片书和微信书,

利用碎片的时间同样可以保存以往的回

忆和感动。

“出国爆买”并不意味着中国人购

买力增强,这只是中国人为了选择更好

的产品而做出的理性消费决策。产品本

身的竞争力才是购买决策中的关键因素,

服务体验成为促成消费的重要考量。

中国的 GDP 已进入低速增长阶段,

此前被高增长率遮盖的出口与投资主导

的旧产业结构问题逐渐显现,以扩大内

需为主导才是未来经济增长的主流模式,

IDC: 国外品牌占据中国 3D 打印机市场大

部分份额中国 3D 打印机市场正处于高速发展期,出货量和销

售额都有显著增长。在“中国制造 2025”及“十三五”

规划等宏观政策的支持下,工业转型将带动中国 3D 打印

机市场在未来几年的强劲增长。国内厂家近年在产品设计

以及服务配套上有明显进步,除了产品外观及使用者介面

有改进外,也会开始着重提供完善的解决方案,包括服务

跟踪、售后支持、软件等。

IDC 关于《中国 3D 打印市场 2014-2015 分析报告》

显示,从市场销售额来看,国外品牌占据中国市场的领先

位置。中国的专业级 3D 打印机市场前 5 位的厂商分别为:

EOS、 Stratasys、雷尼绍、中瑞科技及 Solidscape。在

中国的桌面级 3D 打印机市场,国产品牌凭借其在价格及

质量上的竞争力,更多地出席在该市场的前 5 位厂商当中;

虽然 Stratasys(Makerbot)及 3D Systems 这 2 家美国

公司占领前 2 位,但随后是国产品牌——西锐、闪铸及北

京太尔时代。通过在市场的积累及持续提升产品质量,这

3 家国产品牌在桌面机市场能够占据前列。

IDC 中国分析师莫敏仪指出:“国外品牌在技术的成

熟度、打印稳定性及打印质量方面有较大的优势,因此他

们能够在市场上保持领先地位。虽然本地品牌与国外品牌

之间依然存在差距,但随着本地厂商在产品开发及改进上

增加资源投入,两者之间的差距会逐渐缩小。”

在中国的桌面级 3D 打印机出口市场里,闪铸、北京

太尔时代及文博(Winbo)分别占据前 3 位,3 家厂商共

占中国出口市场的 50%。庞大的出口收入,除了得益于中

国产品富有竞争力的价格外,一些在出口市场表现较好的

国内厂商还会为国外品牌提供代加工服务,以获得更大的

收入。

莫敏仪认为:“瞄准中高端国内用户和海外市场的中

国厂商需要关注的不只是硬件价格,还需要将软件和服务

纳入考量范围。从传统来看,中国品牌在国际市场上的竞

争优势主要是较为便宜的价格。新用户总会选择较便宜的

硬件来尝试,而老用户拥有将 3D 打印融入生产的经验和

知识,则更倾向选择国外品牌。”

作为 IDC 创新加速器之一,3D 打印将在可预见的未

来具有更加活跃的市场以及更加广泛的应用,该市场的增

长潜力吸引了越来越多的新厂商加入。然而,这些新加入

者想在该领域取得成功,将面临重要挑战。在 IDC 即将举

工信部全面推进 3D 打印发展 三大主线望

受益3 月 18 日,工业和信息化部装备工业司在北京组织

召开增材制造(又称“3D 打印”)产业发展座谈会,下

一步,部装备工业司将加快建立增材制造行业管理体系,

积极推动增材制造关键技术和设备研发,大力推进增材制

造技术与传统产业结合,开展示范应用,拓展服务领域,

全面推进增材制造产业发展。

会上,西安交通大学卢秉恒院士介绍了国家增材制造

创新中心筹建情况,中国电子信息产业发展研究院介绍了

中国增材制造产业联盟筹备情况,西安铂力特、杭州先临

三维、广州迈普再生医学、北京易速普瑞、西安有色金属

研究院等单位代表分别作了主题发言。与会代表还就我国

增材制造产业发展现状、主要问题以及政策建议进行了深

入研讨。

业内人士认为,3D 打印技术是一种应用广泛,结合

力强的技术,尤其适合航空航天、汽车等高端产品关键零

部件的制造。研究报告显示,2015 年 3D 打印市场上,

航空和军事领域终端用户的占比达到 14.4%,成为最主要

的组成部分之一,其他主要终端用户还包括汽车制造、消

费品、医疗保健机构等,占比分别为 21.2%、18.12%、

16.07%。

相比于传统制造工艺,通过 3D 打印技术生产航空航

天所需零部件优势明显。航空航天制造领域大多使用价格

昂贵的战略材料,比如钛合金、镍基高温合金等难加工的

金属材料。传统制造方法对材料的使用率很低,一般不超

过 2%—5%,材料的极大浪费意味着机械加工的程序复杂、

生产时间周期长、制造成本的增加。

西南证券研究报告指出,国内二级市场对于 3D 打印

仍处于主题投资为主的阶段,设计材料类、设备类和应用

服务类个股整体受益。未来几年中国 3D 打印市场仍将保

持 40% 左右的增长速度,到 2018 年有望突破 200 亿元。

A 股中金运激光、光韵达、苏大维格等上市公司,涉及

3D 打印相关业务。

3D 打印概念股可关注三投资主线:1. 打印材料市场

空间大的企业,如银邦股份、银禧科技、宝钛股份、黄河

旋风;2. 配备 3D 打印高端设备的企业,如华工科技、海

源机械、大族激光、华中数控、南风股份入;3. 布局全产

业链的龙头企业,如中航重机、光韵达、金运激光。

3D 打印成 CAD 软件市场增长的重要驱动

力量对于 3D 打印行业来说,CAD 软件是必不可少的。尽

管 CAD 软件早已存在了很长时间了,并且正在被用于各

种行业中。近日,市场研究机构 Business Advantage 在

全球进行的关于 CAD 趋势的调查发现,对于 CAD 软件开

发商而言,3D 打印行业位居最具增长潜力的垂直市场之

一。

Business Advantage 是一家 B2B 市场研究专家,专

注于 IT、软件和电信领域,包括全球 100 多个国家的相关

市场趋势。日前这家公司刚刚结束了他们的 2016 年全球

CAD 趋势调查报告,同时也包括对于未来 5 年的预测。“这

次的 CAD 趋势调查了设计、工程和管理方面的专业人员,

其目的是帮助 CAD、CAM、CAE、PDM 和 PLM 的用户

和软件厂商对于未来进行规划。该报告指出了 CAD 市场

的主要趋势和机会。”该公司 CEO Chris Turner 说。这也

是该公司第三次发布 CAD 市场的年度报告。

当然,这份报告涉及到的不仅仅是 3D 打印,它是在

全世界 610 位专业人士下完成的,其主要内容涵盖了 15

大趋势,其中包括“3D 建模”、“2D 绘图”、“建筑信

息模型(BIM)”,以及“基于云的 CAD”和 3D 打印。

在这 15 大趋势中,他们将 3D 打印列为最具有增长潜力的

行业,与“移动式 CAD”和“增强 / 虚拟现实”排在一起。

除此之外,该报告还指出,在过去一年里,CAM 软

件变得更加普及,其使用量 37%。所谓的 CAM,意为计

算机辅助制造,主要是通过计算机和软件来指导制造机器,

比如 3D 打印机。该报告还显示,近 70% 的用户(或潜

在用户)认为,使用使用 3D CAD 模型自动生成加工指令

时非常重要的。有 60% 的人希望感到软件开发商能够将

CAD 与 CAM 结合在一起,这样一些 3D 打印机用户也能

报告显示,近 60% 的用户数每月至少要下载一次 3D

泰国政府规定进口 3D 打印机需登记引起非

议日前,泰国一批 3D 打印机制造商正在敦促该国商务

部修改一项关于快速兴起的打印产品的进口新规,称这有

可能会使泰国基于技术的发展缺少竞争力。这些 3D 打印

机厂商们称,这一规定还可能阻碍人们接触新科技,从而

削弱了 3D 打印业。

据了解,这一举措主要是针对上个月被泰国内阁正

式批准的一项法规,该法规要求 3D 打印机的进口要遵循

泰国商务部进口相关的规定。这意味着 3D 打印机进口商

必需符合与进口相关的所有要求与程序,并进行打印机登

记和所有权转移的登记。目前该国公司还不需要对进口的

3D 打印机进行注册登记。

这一规定还没有实施。该规定的本意是为了防止人们

使用一种工业 3D 打印机制造枪支。

“我们不应该让这个新规定影响到国家的未来,或者

使人们更难接触到 3D 打印创新。”MakerSpace 的创始

人 Nati Sang 称。Makerspace 位于泰国清迈的高科技制

造商园区。“这一规定可能会阻碍泰国参与全球创新大潮。”

他补充说。

目前在泰国有三家 3D 打印公司,但是他们提供的 3D

打印系统与全球的同行相比仍然相差甚远。Nati 称这一规

定主要是基于政府机构提供的错误信息,而且,政府正试

图在错误的地方纠正问题。

3D 打印机的能力非常广泛,种类也相当繁多,价格

各有不同。一台能够打印武器的 3D 打印机价格往往达到

数十万美元。

“这种类型的 3D 打印机远远超出一般人的经济承受

能力。”Nati 先生说,而且事实上存在更多比使用 3D 打

印机更为经济高效的制造枪支的方法。

先进的 3D 打印技术正在改变人们做生意的方式,尤

学领域。他们开始使用 3D 打印机制造桥梁、建筑和其他

清迈创客俱乐部的创始人 Panutat Tejasen 称,3D 打

Wiwat Arunruangsiriloet 是一位进口商和 3D 打印技

术的先驱,他认为泰国商务部应该缩小 3D 打印机的定义。

泰国 3D 打印领域的人士普遍认为,新的立法将不可

3D 打印助沃尔沃卡车削减 94% 工具制造

时间沃尔沃卡车制造商是世界上第二大重型卡号品牌,年

生产和销售超过 10 万辆卡车。该企业最近融入了 3D 打印

技术,提高工作效率。

据沃尔沃卡车公司的制造总监 Pierre Jenny 说,由于

使用了 Stratasys 的技术,该公司设计和制造各种生产工

具的时间从曾经需要金属制造的 36 天,一下子削减到如

今采用热塑性 ABSplu 材料和 Fortus 3D Production 系统

只用 2 天即可完成。

Jenny 称,通过 3D 打印热塑性 ABS 材料来制造定制

化或者小型生产工具所带来的成本节约非常巨大,以前有

沃尔沃卡车的技术经理 Jean-Marc Robin 说,“到

目前为止,我们每一件3D打印工具都被证明100%适用的,

这也改变了很多人通常认为只有金属的东西才可靠的传统

观念。”

由于将增材制造技术融入了在法国里昂的发动机制造

环节,沃尔沃卡车的一些关键生产线制造工具的周转已经

近日,该公司又推出了一项新的业务,就是为客户

3D 打印出已逝亲人的全彩遗像,以供他们留念。要制作

这些 3D 打印遗像,客户通常需要提供一些高清晰度的照

片,然后由该公司为其建模、打印。该公司甚至能够将其

制成可以盛放骨灰的骨灰瓮,不过客户还需要再购买一个

装骨灰的容器,由该公司在 3D 打印人像的后面开口,将

其装进去。

据了解,他们推出这项新业务的灵感来自于最近一位

悲伤的母亲向公司询问是否可以为她亲爱的女儿 3D 打印

一个人像,她的女儿在十几岁的时候就不幸去世了。

“这位母亲告诉我们她想通过 3D 人像的形式来复活

她早夭的女儿。”该公司总裁 Koichi Furusho 说。

这些 3D 打印人像有 20 厘米、25 厘米或 30 厘米三种

规格可供选择,其价格分别是 10 万日元、15 万日元和 20

万日元。交货周期大约需要两个月时间。该公司也可以为

您制作几个人在一起的 3D 打印群像。至于客户提供的照

片,智能手机拍的就行,但是分辨率一定要好。如果焦距

有问题的话,该公司就不能制作出比较理想的 3D 打印人

像了。

该公司认为,相比很多人花大价钱去买一个棺材并将

其埋入土中,这种方式可以更好地寄托亲人的哀思,也能

够安全地保存骨灰,同时也更加经济。

本次 3D 打印餐馆快闪的首站是荷兰 Venlo,后前往

迪拜、汉城、罗马、巴黎、拉斯维加斯、多伦多、柏林、

新加坡等。

用 3D 打印制作动画定格道具日前,来自伦敦的视觉特效公司 Framestore 的设计

和 CG 团队共同合作名为联想的最新产品——YOGA 系

列笔记本电脑和平板电脑——及其在全球开展的好·奇怪

(#Goodweird)营销活动制作了一系列广告动画短片。

据了解,这些动画短片是由制作公司 Blinkink 的导演

Greg Barth 执导的。制作团队拍出的这些短片通过一系列

有趣而古怪的镜头和场景来展示联想最新的创新产品。

据了解,Blinkink 和来自 3D 打印公司 Propshop 的主

建模师用 3D 打印来制作这个定格动画与动画混合电影所

需要的大量道具。由于几乎每帧都需要新的设置,这项工

作对于后勤的要求特别高,而且需要对动画仔细替代。

Framestore 的任务则是为影片加上魔幻 3D 和动画元

料——一个是光

滑的塑料,另外一个则更加粗糙一点,带有更具颗粒感的

纹理。制作团队精心设计以保持每个角色的个性,并尽量

展现定格动画技术的传统魅力。

由于这些 3D 打印的定格动画道具的尺寸最大也只有

15 厘米左右,因此不可能在视频中使用真实的产品,为此

Framestore 使用 CAD 数据制作出了数字化的 CG 产品贯

穿整个广告片的始终。除此之外,每一部广告视频都突出

了联想 YOGA 系列产品的一些新特色,从可以 360 度翻

转的笔记本电脑到内置投影仪的平板等。

Framestore 公司的 Richard Coley 主管评论这个项目

称:“能够与 Blink 和 MullenLowe 共同合作为联系制作

一系列短片真的非常让人愉悦——他们的工艺和创作往往

准确无误。当我们完成了第一个短片之后,就熟悉了每一

帧影片所需要的精细水平。这个时候,我们真的进入了状

态,最终做出来的影片很漂亮。”

打印机重影现象一般出现在激光打

印机上面,在打印出来的文档中的文字

会在隔一段距离后重复出现,根据激光

打印机成像过程,打印机重影问题一般

出现在转印环节和定影环节。

第一种故障:转印环节

激光打印机中的转印指的是在鼓芯

上形成静电潜像的碳数在转印高压下从

鼓芯到纸张的过程。如果转印出现故障,

会导致碳粉不能完全的转印到纸上,随

着鼓芯的转动,在下一周期就同样有这

部分静电潜像的图像部分转到纸上,这

就造成了激光打印机重影的现象。

解决方法:

①清理碳粉并使用专用碳粉 ( 如果用

错碳粉,由于碳粉带电量,导致会导致

打印机重影 )

②重新设置纸张类型 ( 设置纸张为厚

纸或胶片时,转印电压会比普通纸高 )

③检查转印辊两端是否良好,转印

是否正常。

第二种故障:定影环节问题

定影是指纸上的碳粉在高温下被热

压入纸纤维,使碳粉很纸张结合在一起,

不会脱落,如果碳粉粘在定影上,随着

定影的转动,就会在纸上印上周期性的

重影,也就造成我们所说的打印机重影

的问题。

解决方法:

①碳粉熔点太低容易粘在热辊上,

清理碳粉并使用专用碳粉

②定影器的热辊材质不好,或者是

老化等,更换质量好的定影器热辊

纺织数码印花机竞争格局分析

国内印花机产品总的发展趋势一定是高端化,随着客户要

求的提升以及对于性能、精度等高需求的加强,印花机生产企

业要更注重产品各方面的表现,不断增加产品的研发投入。

从市场发展的角度来看,企业间“前赴后继”的竞争过程

是必然的,企业只有不断研发新型印花机,走在市场的最前端

才能摆脱掉被淘汰的结果。目前,国内服装纺织行业整体需求

不旺,在这个环境下,企业必须做好思路调整,找到合适的市

场定位,即使销售情况尚好仍要居安思危,不断“练内功”,

纺织数码印花机国内市场趋势

速度已不再是短板:

一直以来,数码印花设备绿色环保、即打即印的生产方式

被业界关注,但由于速度慢、成本较高等因素,限制了数码印

花设备的应用。不过,从 ITMA2015 上设备制造商展出的设备

可以看出,速度是数码印花设备“短腿”的现象已经成为了过去。

数码印花设备已经具备了用于批量化实际生产的技术水平。

意 大 利 MS 公 司 展 出 的 LaRio 数 码 印 花 机 印 花 速 度 可

达 4500 米 / 小时,高解像速度达 35 米 / 分钟,分辨率可达

600dpi×600dpi。它改变了数码印花机速度无法与圆网印花机

相比拟的状况,在相同或更廉价的运行成本下,LaRio 与传统

圆网印花机相比可大幅减少生产时间,没有花型回位及颜色的

限制。可提供数码印花全套解决方案的杭州宏华数码科技股份

有限公司在本次展会上展出了多台设备。其中,VEGA3000 系

列数码印花机采用京瓷公司 KJ4B 型喷头,最高速度可达 1030

平 方 米 / 小 时;VEGA7000 系 列 数 码 印 花 机 配 有 32 个 京 瓷

KJ4B 型喷头,可实现 1000 平方米 / 小时的印花输出能力,印

花幅宽可达 3.4 米。据公司相关负责人介绍,宏华数码产品可

成本投入。在生产 2000 米以下的印花产品时,其成本与传统

印花工艺是一样的。

此外,施托克印制系统集团(SPGPrints)首次推出了 Pike

系列数码印花机,每个打印杆装有 43 个喷头,印花幅宽达到

1850 毫米,打印杆的原始分辨率达到 1200dpi×1200dpi,其

最高速度可达 75 米 / 分钟。

实现库存精确控制

目前,纺织企业越来越倾向于投资较少、回报更快的小批量、

定制化订单,同时要求产品能够满足色彩多样的多种设计风格。

随着这种市场需求的越来越普遍,纺织品印花工厂订单正在从

大批量生产向小批量定制转变。

数 码 印 花 设 备 正 好 适 应 了 这 种 生 产 需 求, 但 它 给 纺

织服装企业带来的优势远不止于此。康丽数码首席执行官

GabiSeligsohn 指出,数码印花对整个产业链最大的贡献是对

仓储过程的优化管理。传统印花同一款设计需要生产够一定的

数量,但卖不掉的服装就变成库存,继而产生很多仓储租金,

所以企业只能想办法将其低价处理掉。数码印花的优势在于,

除了印好可卖完的产品,企业在仓库里储存的都只是白色的布,

当有新的订单时,仍旧可以用仓库中的白布来印花,有助于节

约成本和仓储管理,不会出现因成衣不受欢迎造成大量库存的

问题。

事实上,传统印花一个花型最少要印 1 万米,而数码印花

的量可少于 100 米。而以 ZARA 等为代表的快时尚品牌则完全

按照这种模式来操作,即不需要备有很多库存,而是用小量来

试市场,如果市场反应好就再增货,实现库存的精确控制管理。

同时,由于数码印花设备具备了速度快、可小批量生产的优势,

实现了对市场需求的快速反应。同时也为目前一部分正在寻找

新模式的纺织服装企业找到了出路。

除了康丽数码以外,本机展会上许多数码印花设备都可满

足纺织企业小批量的生产需求。例如 Mimaki 公司推出的入门

级喷墨纺织品印花机 Tx300P-1800,就是针对小批量生产的一

款产品。

技术仍待不断改进

日前,美国一家公司发布数据称,全球数码印花纺织品市

场价值约 75 亿美元,2014 年 ~2019 年,数码印花的市场应用

正在经历 34% 左右的复合年增长率强劲增长。虽然欧洲是纺织

品数码印花的最大市场,但是亚太地区的数码印花市场也正蓄

势待发。从预期规模来看,我国的数码印花产业不可限量。

不过,就目前而言,市场对于数码印花产品的接受度仍有

限。其主要原因在于数码印花还有许多技术问题需要解决,包

括印花化学品和墨水的各种特性,以及印花设备速度、分辨率、

液滴尺寸和配置、耐水洗和耐磨性等。各种生产技术的进步,

直接决定了数码印花产品被市场接受的速度。

ITMA2015 上,数码印花配套产品的制造商也展示出其在

各自领域的最新研发成果,其主要体现在数码印花系统升级、

墨水性能提升等方面。

COLORJET 公司的新型数码印花机 FABJET-DU 采用双供

墨系统,是一种“二合一”式的机器。用户只需按动开关,就

可以在活性、分散染料和颜料 3 种墨水中任选 2 种,使机器成

为活性或颜料或分散性墨水印花机。

康丽数码此次展出的新型高效率、低单件成本 Vulcan 系统,

可以帮助数码印花设备在中、长期的生产过程,达到能与丝网

印花相媲美的成本。

一般而言,不同类型的纺织品需要不同类型的墨水,不同

的墨水技术需要采用专用的针对不同应用场合的印花机械。但

是,EFIReggiani 公司改变了这一情况,其旗下 VelvetJet 公司

推出了一种新型颜料墨水,可在各类纺织品以及在各种工业印

花机上印制。

近年来,国产纺织品数码喷印技术与装备在一些关键技术

上取得了突破。但目前喷头核心技术依旧被日本企业垄断,高

速全幅宽喷头的数码印花机在短时间内难以制造和推广,墨水

也导致数码印花成本过高,这些都使国产数码印花设备发展受

限。我国的数码印花设备制造商想要与国外制造商一起共同从

未来市场的强劲增长中获利,仍需要努力再努力。

印花机的智能化

纺织业作为劳动密集型产业,是我国竞争力较强同时也是

国际依存度较高产业。印染机械作为纺织业中一个重大门类,

其发展离不开各种印花机在行业中的运用。特别是 2014 年两

会提出“深化改革”政策以来,印染机械产业的转型升级步伐

也逐渐加快。如今的印花机行业正朝着自动化、智能化、多样

化方向发展。

据了解,目前我国印花设备总体现状为:辊筒印花机日趋

衰落,上世纪 80 ~ 90 年代逐步被平网和圆网印花机所取代。

筛网印花机,特别是平网印花机、圆网印花机销量大幅增加,

而数码喷墨印花则异军突起,前途无量。

近两年,市场上出现了一种椭圆形自动印花机。这种印花

机以其独特的结构布局,广泛的适应性正对传统圆形印花机发

中国和世界的服装印花市场正在孕育着自动印花设备制造

行业的一次升级。企业要把握好这次机会,运用科学技术,创

新发展,研制新型、现代化服装机械。

印花机的多样化

据调查显示:我国的纺织企业具有典型的微利行业特征。

纺织微利时代的到来对纺织产业链印花行业造成了很大的影响,

使得印花行业也步入了微利时代。同时,对于印花技术的要求

却在与日俱增。

相关数据显示,我国印机行业有 500 多家企业,民营企业

占 98%( 包括配套企业 )。长期以来,印花行业采用的多是人工

印花,成本高、产能低。但是目前,单一的人工印花技术已经

无法满足纺织行业的发展需求。在需求倒逼的机制下,印花行

业不断进行技术革新,使得行业呈现出技术多元化的发展趋势。

喷墨印花机正在成为引领行业技术发展的潮流。它能够有

效缩短产品上市的时间,预计喷墨印花机的市场规模将从 2011

年的 1.7 亿美元和 2012 年的 2.18 亿美元增长到 2017 年的 7.48

亿美元。此外,织物印花也迅速发展起来。新型纤维特别是聚

醋纤维以及活性和分散染料的相继问世,使得织物印花技术得

以不断发展。

现代信息控制技术也已渗透到印花机械各个领域。自动化

技术极大的推动了印花行业的发展。通过信息控制技术,突破

了众多自动化印花机因干燥问题带来的效率瓶颈,最大限度的

满足了承印物对油墨、水性涂料干燥条件的要求。此外,自动化、

人机对话、工艺设定、自动检测与控制、远程诊断等手段在印

花机领域中也被广泛使用。

作为绿色、低耗能印刷技术产物的数码喷墨印刷机深受节

能减排政策的影响,未来市场前景巨大。虽然我国喷砂机、线

性滑台、数码喷码喷墨印刷等产品及技术起步较晚,发展比较

落后,但前景依旧可观。有关数字表明,使用传统印花设备进

行印花时,大约有 30% 的染料用量不能与纤维结合,在水洗时

被洗去而产生污染;而数码印花工艺采用墨水直喷工艺,染料

用量只有传统的 40% 左右,而且仅有 5% 的墨水在后处理时被

洗去,生的污染量仅为传统印花工艺的 1/15-1/25。也正是数

码印花机具有方便、快捷、环保等优点,印染企业对数码印花

的需求呈现逐年大幅递增的情况。

电商巨头亚马逊锁定数码印花据《以色列时报》报道:继在电子出版行业掀起一场革命后,

亚马逊现在又把目光转向一项新服务——T 恤销售。通过亚马

逊新推出的 Merch 项目,大家都可以销售个性定制或印有图标、

照片以及其他样式的 T 恤。Merch 项目采用了康丽顶级高效打

印系统 Avalanche 1000,按需生产广告 T 恤。

“一流的批量定制生产意味着在受益于规模经济的同时,

还能为每位顾客提供私人订制的优质产品。”康丽销售部执行

副总裁萨瑞尔 • 阿什肯纳齐(Sarel Ashkenazy)表示,“康丽

在印刷行业信誉良好,专业能力过人,触角遍及世界各地。”

且不管外界评价如何,亚马逊的 Kindle 使图书行业发生了

翻天覆地的变化。此前,作家需向出版社兜售自己的书,由后

者决定这些书是否值得出版。当然,作家还有一个选择,那就

是自行出版,亚马逊率先开拓的电子出版改变了出版行业的面

貌,现在也仍在市场占据主要地位。亚马逊的电子书大部分是

作家自行出版的(出版社出版的传统纸质图书的电子版除外),

由他们自己负责在线上推广。

为了实现这个目标,亚马逊找到了康丽。康丽成立于 2003

年,是第一家将数字喷墨打印技术应用到服装生产中的公司,

现在已成为直喷成衣印花机的最大卖家和全球规模最大的直喷

成衣数码(DTG)

制造商之一。亚马逊希望利用康丽印刷系统,在顾客下单后开

始数码印刷 T 恤,无需经过漫长的丝网印刷过程(需要传输、

贴图以及其他麻烦的工序)。通过康丽印刷系统,亚马逊员工

只需按下印刷键,等着 T 恤从印刷机里印刷出来,再把 T 恤打包,

发出以备配送。

康丽公司表示,维修人员还能前往亚马逊在德州的办事处,

即 Merch 项目物流中心所在地,以确保一切工作顺利进行。

应该指出的是,发明这一业务的不是亚马逊,其他 T 恤印

刷网站如 Teespring 过去几年来也一直在提供 T 恤印刷和销售

服务。Teespring 表示,美国至少有 20 个卖家采用其个性定制

印刷生产系统,每年 T 恤销售额超过 100 万美元(仅该公司本

身就在 2015 年生产了近 900 万件 T 恤,成为了美国最大的 T

恤生产厂家)。分析人士认为,这正是亚马逊想要实现的目标。

康丽公司表示,亚马逊希望利用康丽的技术,在竞争中占

据技术优势。因此,这对康利来说是一笔大交易。康丽销售部

执行副总裁萨瑞尔 • 阿什肯纳齐(Sarel Ashkenazy)表示,康

丽求之不得。“亚马逊已经叱咤电商行业数十年,我们很荣幸

近日,权威调研机构 IDC 最新发布了 2015 年中国打印外

设市场调研报告。报告显示:2015 年,中国 A3 数码复合机市

场增速较之前有所放缓。在各个厂商的市场表现中,富士施乐

雷斯杰公司主要经营激光打印机鼓粉盒品牌的销售,下属

雷斯杰和标印两个品牌。公司拥有员工 40 多名,年产值数千万

打着背包扭转公司亏损

2005 年,已到中年的左龙勤从湖北来北京发展,进入了康

悦集团公司,成为一名业务员跑市场。当时,公司库存里积压

极致 30 万元的国产耗材,这是前两任主管遗留的问题。左龙

勤经理想:既然选择了国产耗材,就得先从处理库存开始;一

个好的销售首先必须得会卖积压库存。就这样,左经理背着硒鼓,

在当时市场普遍只认原装而不认国产硒鼓的情况下,硬是一家

一家的推销,用了近半年时间才把遗留的库存清理完毕。有人说,

公司的亏损填补上了。填补了公司亏损后,他又开始考虑雷斯

要注意以下几点:1. 产品专业化;2. 销

售网络化;3. 人才年轻化;4. 加大品牌

推广。

他还建议:由于行业内今后的发展

会越来越少,销售渠道上批发和直销脱

钩,大联盟就显得非常重要,耗材市场

几大品牌,如格之格、天威、莱盛等,

可以考虑深入整合,耗材行业内进行联

合抱团合作,形成产业的核心价值,远

好于目前的各自为战的局面。

们还用企业标准来确保产品质量。”

采购行业客户交流会,于 2016 年 3 月

26 日下午在北京海淀区丽亭华苑酒店顺

利召开,会议共邀请北京地区 60 余家政
