How often do we hear that ‘Old is New’? You may associate

this with the Music Industry or the Fashion Industry where

products disappear for a period of time, only to be re-launched

to a later generation as ‘New’. We as an industry at times

also share this cycle and with this in mind we are delighted

to launch in this brochure our new range of Whetman Pinks.

From our extensive trialling this year we have chosen

two ranges.

The ‘Old’ traditional ‘Garden Pinks’ border range includes

varieties such as ‘Doris’, which as a variety has stood the

test of time and of course many of you will recognise.

Be sure to have a look at the range, there is a whole new

generation of customers that have not enjoyed these

Important Cultural Information – Petunia Night Sky

It is very important to follow the cultural recommendations for this unique variety to get the best habit and flower pattern.

There are a few key factors that can affect the colour pattern:

• PGR – Do not apply B-Nine within 5 weeks of the target finish date as this will cause excessive white in the flower. A Bonzi drench is recommended.

• Temperature Changes – A high DIF (hot day/cool night) will cause excessive white to form in the flowers.

• High Day and Night Temperatures – This can cause the flowers to become almost solid purple. The ideal temperatures are 14-24°C day/11-17°C night.

Due to the nature of this variety, the flower patterns of Petunia Night Sky will always vary from plant to plant.
