I have had time lately to wonder what motivates our members to be involved in Surf Lifesaving? And why are we drawn, in particular, to this great Club? What is the driving force which compels us to spend hours on our beach, often in horrendously hot or drenching conditions? Why do we stay back to help out when a few extra hours are required? Why do we lift tents and tow boats? Why do we attend meetings late into the night or at the crack of dawn? None of it is paid and sometimes one might be forgiven for thinking it isnt appreciated. Then the answer occurred to me. We are not a Club so much as a tribe. Human beings are not designed to be isolated creatures. Our DNA is woven with millions of years of programing which drives us toward being together in a pack which exists to shelter us from the dangers of the world and without which we might not survive. And perhaps more than pure survival is that fact that there is more to gain and more to share in a tribe. And the very tribe itself allows each individual a place to thrive and grow and to learn how to contribute. Of course, the modern world pulls us in a different direction. Mortgages and work schedules drive us into isolation. We are too busy to connect. There is no time for our own needs let alone looking to contribute to the needs of others. So the risk is a tendency to lead a life without a sense of contribution to anything bigger than ourselves. To me, that is an empty life. I joined the Club in 1990. My father had just died. I was 17 years old when the tribe took me in. I lost a father but I gained three surrogate fathers, some brothers and sisters as well. I spent weekends laughing and training and I learnt how to take care of people, on patrol and off. I shared stories about weekly successes and failures with my mates. I was lifted up in times of trouble and I was knocked down a peg or two when I was too big for my boots. All of this under one unifying force the Club. Pride and respect for the Club was the green and white glue that held it all together. Twenty Five years may have passed but I still see that tribal spirit alive. I am still convinced that is why I see members giving so much without being asked or expecting reward in return. It is because we recognise the value in being needed and in giving back to the tribe, which has given us so much. And these connections span generations. I see it in the excited faces of the smallest nippers when we sing a war cry. I see it in the twinkle of an eye as an Old Boy tells me a story about years gone by. This great Club binds us all, across time. We are all made richer by sharing in the benefits and successes of our tribe. There is no better example of this than at the recent Australian Championships. Quite rightly, I watched as Tom Green was mobbed by teammates offering congratulations after his paddle for the ages to win the Under 17 Ski title. But I also witnessed just as many Vikings come around and provide encouragement and support for young Jacob Loughnan who was disappointed to have swum the race of his life in a team event only to come up short for a fourth place. Through thick and thin, the green and white tribe responded and rallied as one. I believe we are enjoying a period of real success. But rather than measure that success in terms of record net profit from the Supporters Association; or zero deaths on the beach; or a terrific point score result at the Australian Titles I would prefer to measure this seasons success by the health of our tribe. We remain one. We have each others back. We are more willing to say How can I help? than What do I get? And above all, we all take turns to carry this great Club forward, inch by inch and step by step, to make it better. I am indebted for the sheer hard work, innovation and optimism demonstrated by the Supporters Association Committee, the Executive, the Management Committee and all of the sub-committee members. I wish to thank our wonderful Surf Club administration staff for their commitment and courage under fire at times. Without our officials and trainers we would cease to function: thank you for all of the long hours of commitment and assistance. I am in awe of the skills of our Supporters Association staff including their unwavering ability to make every day a good day for our guests and visitors. I wish to thank Chris Kelly, Murray Turnbull and our team of managers for their constant search for improvement and advantage for our business. And finally, I wish to offer my heartfelt thanks to our CEO Michael Sullivan who remains the driving force and energy which propels us all forward. So to my Tribe I say thank you for what you each contributed towards a season to remember.

    CEO Michael Sullivan

I am pleased to present this review of Currumbin Beach Vikings progress for season 2015/2016, a year where as a Club we achieved record numbers against our strategic KPI Benchmarks aligned to the 2013-2017 Strategic Plan. This was a year of accelerating momentum for Currumbin SLSC, one in which we saw continued growth in active volunteer membership, new awards gained and demonstrated the value being created by our focus on improving membership services, while investing in our volunteers through lifesaving courses, youth development activities, social initiatives and our surf sports programs and pathways. Our members are and still remain our highest priority. Throughout the year, and right across the organisation, as a staffing group and committee we worked hard to find ways to build advocacy, commitment and motivation, by improving how we deliver benefits to the community and our members in order to have a positive impact on their lives through our programs and services. We are pleased to have again delivered on our core mission of providing excellence in Surf Life Saving services to Currumbin Beach through our surf lifesaving patrols and our member training and education programs. This of course wouldnt be possible without the commitment and dedication of our Active members and beach patrollers. To each and every one of our patrollers I thank you for your selfless commitment to our beach operations and lifesaving services. In 2015/2016, 324 Active members delivered a record number of 8519 volunteer hours on the beach to ensure an estimated 40,000 beach patrons visiting Currumbin Beach were provided with a safe aquatic environment. Our Active members gained 222 new lifesaving awards over the course of the season to ensure that the depth of our lifesaving patrols were well resourced against the award requirements under the patrol service agreement. Our Youth members achieved maximum participation levels in our Club, Branch and State courses and programs to ensure that long term our beach patrols remain skilled and well resourced into future seasons. In the area of surf sports we delivered on our promise to provide the facilities, resources, coaching and pathways for surf sports competitors across the areas of beach, water, boat, pool rescue and more recently our IRB section to allow members to achieve their surf sport goals at Currumbin SLSC. Congratulations to our competitors, coaching group and sport management team who collectively in 2015/2016 were named national Pool Rescue champions, finished 2nd overall at the 2016 Australian Surf Life Saving Championships and were named the 2016 Australian Championships Handicap Point score Winners for the most improved Club in the country in 2015/2016. The Club also had a record four members competing in the professional Iron series and seven crews participate in different rounds of the Ocean Thunder national surfboat series, eleven members named in the Qld State team and our members won forty national titles across surf and pool events this season. Financially, our Supporters Club delivered a record year. Revenues generated from grants and fundraising activities continued to grow and our sponsorship levels reached record heights in conjunction with some fantastic partnerships formed with community organisations whose support both new and existing of the Club we simply couldnt do without. The Club funded a full renovation of the downstairs members room in the off season and has paid out our loan on our Traders Way facility to ensure that we have a fully owned asset for the members. Our Finance Committee led by our new Director of Finance/Treasurer has laid the foundation for future cash provisioning and investment frameworks with the aim of ensuring the long term financial viability of the Club and a diversity of revenue streams to reduce dependency on major income streams moving forward. Once again I thank all Club, committee and subcommittee members as well as our staff for your commitment and dedication to making this club the greatest that it can be. Thank you for making this Club so special and I hope that you continue to do so and help us reach even greater heights in the future.

    Lifesaving ChairmanAndrew McIntyre

On behalf of the Surf Lifesaving Committee, I am pleased to present the following report. The 2015/2016 season has been an incredible success, reflective of the structural changes and operational improvements that have been introduced. This season, our active membership has continued to grow, with Currumbin remaining the largest Club of Point Danger Branch, with thirty five new Bronze Medallion and thirty two SRC holders joining patrol. In addition to which, the quality and capability of our members has increased with a number gaining higher awards, including thirteen Silver Medallion Basic Beach Management, four IRB Drivers, fourteen IRB Crew, fifteen Advanced Resus, twenty two First Aid and twelve Spinal Management awards. Despite this steady growth, the challenge for the new season will be to efficiently maintain awards as well as provide pathways to identify, support and mentor leaders for the future. Over the past three years, the Surf Lifesaving Committee has worked diligently to achieve annual strategic goals. I am pleased to report, that we have once again achieved all of our key performance indicators, resulting in successfully fulfilling our Patrol Service Agreement and ensuring growth and sustainability into the future. In addition to which, a three year financial plan has now been implemented, that will result in the faster acquisition of essential beach assets and provide a higher quality of surf lifesaving equipment. This has already resulted in the delivery of a new ATV and IRB ready for the new season. The outstanding success achieved this season, is the result of the combined commitment across sub-committees to provide the very best services, opportunities and pathways to our members. As Club Captain, I would like to recognise and acknowledge the following members who have been integral in our outstanding achievements this season. Firstly, once again, to each and every patroller who volunteered their valuable time to support Surf Lifesaving and ensure the safety of our community. To our Patrol Captains, who lead our patrol teams during the season and developed the leaders of the future. To our Trainers, Facilitators and Assessors, that enabled our members to become more effective and responsive lifesavers through the delivery of quality training programs. Secondly, I would like to sincerely thank Hugh Nicholls for his incredible support and generosity to the Club. Hughs legacy has enabled the renovation of our members facilities which have been so well received. Finally, thank you to Michael Sullivan (CEO), Carole Walle (Administrator) and Annie Owen (Vice-Club Captain) for their weekly support of strategic directions, administrative duties and beach operations. Thank you for your continuing support, enjoy the much deserved break and I look forward to seeing you on patrol in the new season.

    Youth DevelopmentSam Dick

2015/16 has been an outstanding year for our youth members and a year of continual development of skills. Once again we had full participation in the Point Danger Branch Team X-Treme program which saw our members gain a number of awards and hone their skills which will be put to use keeping our beach safe and fatality free for many years to come. We congratulate Keely Smith, Haylee Prosser, Lily Dick, Hannah Carter and Jacob Loughnan on their selection and completion of the program. This season three of our members attended the annual Surf Soldiers branch youth development camp as participants gaining valuable leadership skills over the three day camp at Tyalgum. In March, Courtney Taylor, Keely Smith, Haylee Prosser, Tom Dick and I attended the Breaka Youth Excellence Program held at Marranatha Recreation camp on the sunshine coast. Courtney took on the role of program coordinator this year and oversaw a terrific program for youth members from across the state. Unfortunately two of the major Gold Coast Youth Development events, the Amazing Beach Race and Beach Sports Challenge, had to be cancelled due to inclement weather and lack of response respectively this season but are sure to be welcome additions back on the Youth development calendar next season. The end of the season saw thirty two youth members and three chaperones get dressed up to attend the Gold Coast Youth Excellence Ball. The Youth Excellence Ball, now seven years old, gathers youth members from across the Gold Coast to celebrate the achievements of youth members throughout the season and provide a valuable end of season gathering for youth members. This season also saw the introduction of the State Youth Advisory Panel which was introduced to establish a group of members who could assess and provide recommendations on youth activities throughout the state. The fact that Currumbin provide two of the eight members on this panel is testament to the programs and support in place for our youth members. Tom, Haylee and Keely have also been selected to sit on the PDB Youth Panel for the coming season. This season has been an extremely successful season for Currumbin and its youth members. I congratulate all of youth members on their attitude towards the opportunities presented to them and willingness to learn new skills. This season has seen our youth members gain over one hundred awards and these skills will continue to be built upon as we strive to keep our beach as safe as possible. Once again our youth members have represented Currumbin to an exceptional standard during programs throughout the season and state, they have gained new skills and honed those they had previously acquired leaving Currumbin in a great position moving forward with enthusiastic and knowledgeable youth members and leaders. On behalf of the youth members I thank the club for its continued support of all the youth activities and programs.

    .

The aim of this seasons Social team - as it should be EVERY year - is to have fun. Because, as we know Vikings just want to have fun. So when putting together our objectives of this season - to have fun was the priority. We also wanted to integrate all facets of the club seniors, juniors, active, competitors and supporters with all the events we hold. Our social season was launched with the Season Launch Family Day held at Neumanns farm. A big thank you to go out to the Neumann family for their generous use of the farm and their constant support. This was the second time we have had the Launch at the Farm and it was a great day. We pitched a few tents, had some music and food supplied. Everyone else bought their family fun, footballs, cricket gear and it was a great afternoon to meet and greet old Viking friends and to make new ones. The Active Members Nights restarted in October. The nights are held first Friday of the month. This year we extended the Active to our hard working Nipper parents. Its good to see all the Vikings in one room (old, young, new, seasoned) having a meal, few drinks and a catch up. Also its a great chance to kick back after a busy working week Viking style! Thanks to all who are supporting these nights. We plan to continue these nights in the off season and as its well into footy season its a great venue to catch the Friday night game on a big screen TV. Because as we knowVikings just want to have fun. October also was the month for our annual cocktail party Just happened to fall on Halloween so it was a great chance for a dress up!! Lots of spooks and creepy creatures out and about. Pumpkin Bowling did make an appearance at the end of the night.. Oh boy.. Enough said!! At the time of writing we still have the final Social event of our season The Vikings Annual Dinner. The preparations for this are well underway the band is booked, the venue sorted and the team is pumped. The night is always a great way to close off another successful season as we celebrate our Patrol teams achievements and our Competitors success. Because as we ALL know VIKINGS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN. On a person note I would like to sincerely thank the team Nicky Wildman, Jen Di Betta, Alyson McIntyre, Dana Dowker, Justin Jones, Natalie Peat and Deb Searle. It takes a Village, or in the case a Vikings crew. Also a big thank you to our Supporters Club Manager, Chris Kelly and his team. The support from you all has been amazing and integral to the success of our events.

    Supporters Club Manager Chris Kelly

It is again my pleasure to submit a report on behalf of the management and staff of the Currumbin Beach Vikings Supporters Club. Financially the club traded well with income reaching seven million dollars. Working on the back of improved efficiencies and robust cost controls the club has posted an increase in operating profit of twenty per cent. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our valued management and staff for their outstanding efforts and performance. They are second to none in terms of their passion and professionalism with regard to servicing our members and guests. Congratulations to all staff for creating many experiences our patrons have both enjoyed and remembered. We have returned in excess of one million dollars back to our members in the way of discounts and membership promotions. Members are undoubtedly the foundation of the club and we as a team will strive to make Currumbin Vikings as attractive to existing members and new members alike. I would like to acknowledge on behalf of the supporters club the outstanding result of our competitors at both the Queensland and Australian Surf Life Saving Titles. The Supporters Club would also like to thank the patrol teams in again maintaining a safe beach environment. Special mention should be given to the Supporters Club committee who have again guided the club in a positive direction. Their support has been unwavering and is much appreciated by myself, management and staff. In closing I must say that 2015/2016 has been a very successful year for both the Currumbin Beach Vikings Surf Lifesaving Club and the Currumbin Beach Vikings Supporters Club. I look forward to this success continuing through the 2016/2017 season.

Can I start this report by saying a big thank you to our patrols that keep our beaches safe every weekend. This season we had a huge three hundred and sixty six nippers, which is a big task to organise week by week. Our junior committee has given a lot of their time and effort over the season so a big thanks to them. We have had a very successful season taking out the Gold Coast City Titles, the Branch Titles and finishing third overall at the 2016 State Titles. Well done to all our nippers and a huge thank you to our coaching staff, Chris Clouston, David Bellue and Sam Dick. Our coaches have done a wonderful job with our kids and the results certainly speak for themselves. This level of results is something for the whole club to be proud of. A lot of blood, sweat and tears (I saw all three of them from one kid alone) went into the season. Its great to see a plan come together. Thanks to our coaches for everything including being Team Manager at carnivals. We had twenty four new SRC Awards go through the nippers this season and become patrolling members, which is fantastic. Thank you to Chief Instructor Steven Cahill along with Dave Bellue, Sam Dick and Courtney Taylor for helping out. For next season a big challenge will be to get enough officials, IRB drivers and water safety volunteers. As we are a bigger club, we have to provide more numbers of volunteers for carnivals. If we could get parents to jump on board with one of these three positions it would help out the club and make the committees job easier! This season the junior committee has awarded a life membership to the nippers for Louise Waller (nee Burton). Louise was a valued committee member at the nippers for many years and we thank her for all her hard work and commitment to the nipper club. Congratulations Louise. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our long time treasurer, Jacki Frost who will finish up her role this year. It has been a huge family commitment for the Frosts and it proves that you get out what you put in. A massive thanks for all your time, hard work and help over the years Jacki and Grant. Well done Team Frost. Thank you to the whole committee for their hard work and dedication this season. A massive thanks to Tara Cahill, Amanda Meehan and Stephen Little. The time and effort they put in is amazing and so appreciated. Without them, nippers really would not happen. Also a special thanks to Sean Winter for all his effort with transporting the gear for carnivals and mowing the lawn at the nipper club. Thanks to Karlie Dickson for her hard work in the uniform shop all season. As always we had great help from Ted, our BBQ man. He is there every Sunday with his apron cooking up a storm! Thank you Ted. Another big thanks to Len Cook who is there every Sunday as our water safety co-ordinator. Thanks for your time and dedication Lenny. Personally, I would like to finish by thanking all the people who volunteer their time for the benefit of our great club. I have been around this club since I was born and the kids of the volunteers still seem to be the ones who get the most out of it. The one thing that never changes is the feeling we get watching kids have a crack and learn new skills with a smile on their faces surrounded by best mates!

We began the year in surf sports at a mild pace building into a growing, expanding, explosive season for the CBV Surf Sports Team. The pace at which this team is excelling is amazing. The structure and talent within our own ranks combined with new members and past competitors, helped form new teams in many areas and the benefits showed in the results. It is great to see the CBV team inspiring other clubs with our positive attitude, compassion to the green & white and the way in which we embrace each other in all the different areas of the club. Many officials complimented me on the behavior and respect our competitors gave them over the Australian Titles weekend. Well done team. A simple thank you is not enough for the time people put into holding the team together. The support of the Team Managers over the season who pull together when a carnival pops up is wonderful. The lovely smiling team of Sandy Kelly, Jenny DiBetta, Debbie Searle, Dana Dowker, Nadine Delahunty, Anne Owen and Denise Taylor you are the best! Though I cant leave out the men who jump up to help with anything we need, you are all legends Chris Maynard, Justin Jones, Rob Larsen, Michael White, Cameron Delahunty, Bruce and Mitch Collins, Werner Piehler and Luke Smith, Joe Fraser with his merry band of Boaties. Also to the parents and families who lug a tent or put one up or down it is appreciated. Thank you to the Committee, Supporters Club, patrol members & staff for you support which was greatly appreciated as you kept the Flame burning at home when the CBV competitors team where away. Our coaches and sweeps, Michael King, Dan Norton Smith, Chris Maynard, Kurt Wilson, Brett Robinson, Jamo Borthwick and our sweeps are patient men as these Vikings are a willful lot! Thank you for your time and commitment. The results have truly been outstanding this season so it is hard to cover every single event but here are a few that shine above. This season the club returned to the IRB racing scene and our tiny crew banded together learning as they went, under the guidance of Werner & Luke. Its great to have IRB back as part of our surf sports group. The Boats took five crews to Ocean Thunder bringing home a series victory with the Barbarians in the men's and a second placing for the Hunters in the womens series. The Hunters continued their form to the end of the season winning gold at the Australian Titles. What a year these women have had. CBV boat teams are the most feared crews to battle against and they showed this at all carnivals this season. The largest tally of racing teams was thirteen crews at Aussies; all flying the green and white with these close knit teams inspiring so many other sections. The Pool Rescue swimmers dominated again taking out an Australian Point score victory for the second year running. Many from this small squad were named in Australian squads and teams for various competitions around the world based on results this season. Exciting times ahead! Team CBV flew high at the Nutrigrain series having four members fight to be in the top eighteen ironmen and women in the country. It was a long season and you all battled courageously. Keep continuing to follow those dreams of being the best. Well the dashing beach section again showed the force they are, cleaning up at Aussies with medals dripping off many necks. The Open Mens Relay was one Gold that young Robbo got at last. The under 19 men held strong and again for the second year in a row collected Gold in the relay. Tim Delahunty walked away with Gold in under 19 Beach Sprint and Olivia Eaton also had a win in the under 19 flags. The Beach Relays spread medals everywhere amongst the squads members. Beach leader Brett Robinson was as flamboyant as ever leading the Vikings with passion and determination. The water/craft and surf area saw many new teams competing throughout the season. We had wins at State in Ski (No medals since the 80s) & Board teams . At Aussies we stepped into another era fielding three teams to the semi of the Lifesaver Relay, with a second and a fourth in the final. We put a Open Mens team and Womens Surf Swim team in and came up with a second in the Womens & Third in the Mens races. The club hasnt achieved these results in the Open arena since the 90s. At last we cracked the Gold in the Open Board with Hayden White taking honors. Joel Mckitterick took Silver in the Open Ski in an event that has over 500 individual competitors, capping a remarkable achievement. Both these men backed up joining their mates to storm home in the Open Taplin crossing the line for third. The open women excelled this year at every carnival taking honors with teams winning three medals at Aussies and individual standout Karlee Nurthen claiming silver in Ski & Bronze in the Board. The Under 19 age group shone brightly with Joshua Clouston taking home six Medals followed closely with Joshua Brown and Prue Davies with five each. Prue deserves a special mention for taking Gold in the under 19 Surf Race then backing up with a Bronze in the Open Womens.

The long lean Tom Green needs a compass but he will be remembered for his amazing Ski paddle to the wrong buoy, only to be more determined than rest of the field to fly home to take Gold in the under 17 Ski race. Our mighty Board riders held strong with Noah Mckitterick bringing a third home with him in the under 17 Short Board. Masters you are the stalwarts of the club! Well done to the little team of battlers bringing home a swag of Gold at the State and Aussies titles. For the second year we watched the 14s and 15s compete in the Youth Aussies. These young athletes watch and copy all of the guys and girls ahead of them and their season improved so much. Piper Harrison took out the Surf Board riding Gold. This girl can surf. The Notorious under 15 boys placed second in the Taplin and third in the Surf teams. Look out for these kids they are going places in future seasons. To conclude 2015/2016 we brought home the Australian Handicap Point score trophy and finished second in the overall Point score at the 2016 Australian titles. Our under 19 age group also won the under 19 point score trophy. One hundred and thirty members raced in over 700 events showcasing what a strong team we are. Many more astounding results and places and finals were made ( see the results page for more results). I for one am very proud to call myself a Viking as all of you should be also. We wish the twenty strong team heading to the World Titles in the Netherlands later this year a fruitful and safe journey and may the Vikings plunder in the birthplace of their original home shores.

Building~ John Munro In the past twelve months we have seen the completion and renovation of both the IRB rooms and the board and ski rooms. With more members competing for the club now we needed more space to accommodate both of these areas, so we moved the existing roller doors forward and extended the walls forward and opened up the entire area which represented stage one of the club renovation. Stage two focused on a total renovation of the showers, toilets and the first aid room. This was particularly a very trying job as the builders had to remove layer upon layer of concrete that had been there for many years. We had to remove old supports and replace these with new beams and uprights which in itself turned out to be an extremely costly exercise with concrete cancer on most of the supports. This was even prior to the toilets, plumbing, tiles, lockers and paint work was to commence. I hope all agree that the monies spent was well worth it as we have ended up with state of the art amenities, both in the male and female toilets, showers and the first aid room. The commencement of stage three will be the upgrading of the front entry with lifts, dumb waiter, widening of the existing stairs and roofing of the stairs and roofing the entire front balcony from the top of the clubhouse function room with concertina doors and glass panels for the days and nights when we have rainy weather. We will also be placing and erecting the fire stairs at the front balcony of the club, and the building of disabled toilets. Stage three commencement will be subject to a proposal to the Surf Life Saving Club to spend the monies required to complete the works. Finally the last stage of the renovation will the widening of both the function area and the dining area to our current footprint that has been approved by GCCC on our current master plan. Just recently in our Traders Way building we had to upgrade our amenities to accommodate some more toilets, showers and storage area. A special thank you to Andrew Hogan for overseeing this task. Recently our CEO had a meeting with the Traders Way body corporate to discuss the possibility of either repairing the roof and gutters at Traders Way or replacing the roof to stop the continued leaking of rain water on the floors in our building. In closing I would like to thank all of the supporters committee and surf club committees and in particular John Saunders from Summerland design for allowing me to go forward with the renovations outlined above to bring our club up to the high standards that we are seeing today in other Surf Clubs around the Gold Coast, it seriously gives me a massive lift to see all of our competitors and fellow club persons enjoying the Vikings Surf Club.

The audited financial statements of Currumbin Beach Vikings Surf Lifesaving Club Inc for the year ended 30 April 2016 are presented later in this Report. I can attest that all expenditure has been made in the best interests of the club and its members. Accounting systems and internal control procedures have been enhanced during the year and the introduction of electronic banking has streamlined the payment of accounts and reduced administrative burdens. A stringent set of budgets have been applied across all facets of the Surf Club and processes have been implemented to provision for large future expenditures now, so as to ease the pressure on future cash flows across both Clubs. Fundraising efforts by members has been very good and tremendous support has been received from members and supporters in attending numerous fundraising events both on site at the Club and through external initiatives with associated partners and businesses. The financial statements highlight the very high cost of running a modern SLSC and it is worth noting that clubs would simply not be able to survive financially without the generous support of sponsors and the foundation of a successful supporters club. I sincerely thank the sponsors of our Club, without their support the club would find it difficult to fulfil its obligations and I hope that all club members show their full support towards these businesses that support us. Also, I place on record my appreciation and admiration for the staff and committee of our Supporters Club for their success in achieving a record profit this year. In 2015/2016 the Supporters Club success has enabled the full funding of the members room renovation and moving forward into the new financial year will fund other essential improvements in 2016/17.To provide for the long term viability of the Club, the time has arrived whereby a specialist investment committee should be established to focus on long-term investment strategies for the Club, including current and expected economic conditions with the assistance of a professional financial planner, if necessary.
