Green Home Choice is teaming up with the Stormwater Wise Landscapes Program for certain cistern, green roof, and pervious driveway projects.
What is the StormwaterWise Program?
The Arlington StormwaterWise Landscapes Program provides County residents and business owners with funding to install voluntary small-scale practices that will reduce stormwater runoff from their property.
Green Home Choice participants who choose to utilize the StormwaterWise program, do not have to go through the standard lottery process. Rather, they can be accepted into the program as long as interest in participating in StorwaterWise is expressed early in the Green Home Choice process.
The Arlington StormwaterWise Landscapes Program is made possible through a partnership between Arlington County and the Arlingtonians for a Clean Environment (ACE).

How does the program work?
The Stormwater Wise Landscapes program funds will be disbursed through the Green Home Choice (GHC) program. An applicant can state their intent to participate in both programs during the GHC application process. Pre– and post– work inspections will occur as part of the GHC program and rebate checks will be administered when the GHC program certification and the stormwater improvement project has been completed.

How can Green Home Choice participants use Stormwater-
Wise incentives?
Green Home Choice project par-ticipants can apply for rebates of 50% of the cost of installing:
Cisterns with at least 200 gallons of capacity and either containing smart disburse-ment technology or connec-tions to household plumbing systems. The maximum re-bate is $500.00, based on 50% of the cost of the im-provements.
Green or vegetated roofs that are a minimum of 150 square feet. The maximum rebate is $1,500.00, based on 50% of the cost of the im-provements.
Pervious driveways. The maximum rebate is $2,000.00, based on 50% of the cost of the improvements.
