EMPLOYMENT HISTORY Arkansas Pediatric Facility May 2014 - April 2015 Title: Rec/Play Therapy North Little Rock, AR Serviced children between the ages of birth and 21 years with challenges such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, autism, traumatic brain injuries, hydrocephalus, tracheostomies and seizure disorders. Working under the direction of an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist, delivered services in the areas of: oral-motor exercises, therapeutic feeds, taste stimulation, exposure to clients with Passy-Muir Valves, exposure to clients with gastrostomy tubes and tracheostomy tubes, and language stimulation activities on both an individual and group level (switch activation; attending goals; choice making with eye gaze; etc.). Working under the direction of a Behavioral Specialist, implemented treatment programs designed by the Behavioral Specialist in the areas of: Therapeutic Play Therapy (Filial Therapy/The Marshack Interaction Method), sensory stimulation (visual, tactile, and auditory), brushing program for sensory integration, sensory desensitization programs designed to decrease or normalize a response to a particular stimulus that has caused an “unpleasant” and hypersensitive response, therapeutic touch and nurturing program, LiddleKidz Massage therapy (Tina Allen), and specified low-cognitive programs designed by the Behavioral Specialist based on the client’s needs and level of functioning. Also implemented a one-on-one behavioral plan with a resident with blindness and deafness in order to reduce self-injurious behavior in the classroom and in the resident’s personal bedroom.

River City Gymnastics December 2014 - present Title: Recreational Gymnastics Coach Little Rock, AR Taught gymnastics fundamentals to children age 2 years old to the 3rd grade. Classes were modified for children who presented with sensory processing disorder, reactive attachment disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, hypotonia, and developmental delays. Also assisted with River City Gymnastics’ after school care program, summer camp, and birthday parties hosted at the facility.

ZenStudio Fitness Boutique April 2015-present Title: Staff Coordinator Little Rock, AR A group fitness boutique offering indoor cycling, barre, yoga, pilates, reformers, and interval training. Responsible for maintaining the organization and flow of classes at the boutique by ensuring that all equipment is set up for each class and by interacting with every client on an interpersonal level. Also responsible for using the MINDBODY computer program for online booking, marketing, retail, and scheduling to help the business run smoothly and keep connected to the clients.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE Bradford Elementary School August 2013-December 2013 Off-Site Student Clinician Little Rock, AR Planning and executing the assessment and treatment of clients with articulation and language disorders at varying severity levels while under the direction of an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist at Bradford Elementary School.Conducted an oral staffing on an observed client, worked with another student clinician to create education and prevention material based on the importance of early intervention, and created an assessment and treatment resource manual containing practice related forms and therapy activities for the treatment of articulation and language disorders as well as the social aspects of communication.

Harding University Speech Clinic August 2012 – May 2013 Student Clinician Searcy, AR Supervised clinical practicum experience including assessment, remediation, and treatment of articulation. Intervention was given to a school-aged child for 30 minutes twice a week through the Harding University Speech Clinic. Clinical/lab work including staffings, treatment plans, session plans, and SOAP notes were executed each week. Conducted oral-facial exams and hearing screenings in the Harding University Speech Clinic. Administered the Preschool Language Scales-Fifth Edition (PLS-5) as well as the Goldman-Fristoe Test of Articulation-2 (GFTA-2) and interpreted the results to write goals and/or make recommendations in a diagnostic report format.
