Speedway Children’s Charities – Texas and Silver Dollar at the Ranch Have Chosen the Following Organizations As 2016 Beneficiaries:

Health issues make life difficult, especially for young patients. Our donors and volunteers help us bring happy moments to families in need of good news.

We think of it as giving wishes wings.

A 501(c)3 organization founded by Pat Skaggs in 1982, a Wish with Wings was Texas’ first wish-granting agency. In more than 30 years, we have granted over 1,300 wishes to Texas

children fighting life-threatening medical conditions.

The Research Program at Mary Crowley Cancer Research addresses the dire need for new drugs for pediatric cancer. Approval of new cancer drugs for children and adolescents is typically an afterthought to those developed for adult cancers, due to small market size.

Private philanthropy is the key to moving the newest treatments forward for these children.

Mary Crowley’s Ewing’s Sarcoma project serves as a proof of principle, with the goal of moving into other pediatric cancers. Ewing’s Sarcoma is a deadly pediatric bone and soft tissue

cancer with an overall survival of only 30%. Mary Crowley completed a Phase I trial of a personalized immunotherapy for children and adolescents with Ewing’s Sarcoma that has

advanced to Phase II. A second targeted clinical trial is in development, and philanthropy is needed to support patient enrollment in 2016.
