    RULES AND CONDITIONS1. All items must be the sole work of the exhibitor.

    2. Each exhibit must consist of at least 2 of the following items:a) Any item made from Tweed

    b) Any item made from Aran Knit

    c) Any item of Crochet

    d) Any item of Hand Embroidery

    3. The items to be displayed as one exhibit.

    4. Any item the judge feels is produced by any other method

    other than hand shall be disqualified.

    5. A special class will be held at each qualifying show.6. One entry may qualify from each qualifying show for the final; if judges

    agree that the standard is high enough a second entry may be qualified.

    The qualifiers from each of these shows will go forward to the final to be

    held at the Ballyshannon Agricultural Show, on Sunday 21st August.

    7. Each of the successful qualifiers will receive a rosette on appearance at the final.

    8. Judges decision will be final at all stages of the competition.

    9. Exhibits are displayed at owners risk.

    10. The foregoing rules should be read in conjunction with ISAGeneral Rules, together with Ballyshannon Show Rules.

    11. Exhibits must be in place for judging by 10.30am on Sunday 21st August 2016.

    12. Exhibits cannot be removed from final before 4.30pm.

    RIALACHA AN TSE - SHOW RULES1. The closing date for entries is 6th of JULY, no entries will be received past this date.

    2. All entries must have fee with them to be valid and accepted.

    3. All cups are perpetual and are to be returned to the

    committee by the 30th of June 2017.

    4. Animal exhibits must be the property of the exhibitor for at

    least two months before date of the show and in the confined

    classes must be domiciled in the stated area for the period.

    5. Exhibits in the Farm and Vegetable section must be grown by the exhibitor.

    6. The show secretary, acting through their officers, mayrefuse an entry without assigning any reason.

    7. The show is not responsible for any damages to any of the exhibits.

    8. Only entries that are in the booklet will be admitted to the classes

    unless it has been an oversight of the committee no exceptions.

    9. The judges decisions are final.

    10. The judges may withhold a prize in any class in which in their opinion there

    is not sufficient merit. The judges decision to merit will be final.

    11. In the case of only one exhibit in a Class, the Judge may award a 1st prize if in

    their opinion the quality is high enough, otherwise a merit may be awarded.

    12. In classes where there are more than ten entries the judges

    may award an additional prize if the exhibits in their opinion

    warrant such an award; 4th prize is equal to 3rd prize.

    13. Animals for exhibition in the show must be in the show grounds by 9am

    before judging commences in their sections. All animals should be halter

    trained and haltered on the day unless the category says otherwise. All entries

    in the marquee must also be in at least 30 minutes before judging begins.

    14. There shall be no tampering or moving of the exhibits entered.

    15. No free admission will be given other than children 8*.

    16. No exhibit shall be removed from the Marquee before 4.00pm

    without prior notice; prize giving will be from 2.30pm to 3.00pm.

    All prizes must be claimed on the day of the show.

    17. Under no circumstances should any of the items be lifted by anyone other than

    the person who entered them. THEY ARE NOT FREE FOR ANYONE TO TAKE.

    18. Confined in the CATTLE section is defined in the map at the front of

    the entry booklet, otherwise confined is the area from Glencolmcille

    to the top of Glengesh Pass and out to the Blue Haven Hotel.

    19. Open in the animal categories is defined as anyone being

    eligible to enter no matter where your address is.

    20. Adequate handling should be provided for the amount

    of animals entered in any one category.

    21. All photos are to be 10 x 8 and mounted on card, except postcards. All paintings are

    to be no larger than 30x 24 to include the frame and all posters are to be A4 size.

    22. The winners of the confined sections automatically qualify for Overall Champion.

    23. Any person who interferes in any way with a judge will forfeit

    any prizes they may have in that section and will be barred from

    entering the show for a period as decided by the committee.

    24. The general public are not permitted in the Marquee during judging and only

    stewards who have no entries in those categories will accompany the judge.

    25. All Exhibitors are responsible for their own entries and

    ensuring they are entered in their proper class. Please

    pay attention to headings and class numbers.

    26. All entry fees must be paid in advance.

    27. THERE IS NO FREE ADMITTANCE TO THE SHOW GROUNDS FOR

    ANY PERSON WHO HAS LIVESTOCK ENTERED IN THE SHOW.

    28. Cancellation of classes: The committee reserve the right to cancel

    or amalgamate class(es) in cases of insufficient entries.

    REGULATIONSCATTLE

    The requirements set out below are intended to protect the health of the animals atshows and sales, to minimise the risk of exposure to disease. Exhibitors should:

    Move animals direct from farm to show grounds Disinfect the vehicle used to transport animals before and after use Insist that all steps necessary to protect animals are taken by the show Committee Ensure that the required documentation which should accompany the

    animal is in order before the date of the Show and contact the localDistrict Veterinary Office when deciding to exhibit at any show.

    ANIMAL HEALTH STATUS

    TB

    All animals must come from herds which are not restricted andhave a clear herd test within the previous twelve months.

    No pre-movement test is required for TB; however, it is recommended by the departmentthat a 30 day pre-movement test for TB should apply to all Shows and Sales

    BRUCELLOSIS

    All animals must come from herds which are not restricted All eligible animals (i.e. females aged 12 months and over and bulls aged 12 months

    and over) must be 30 day pre-movement tested for Brucellosis. However, these animalsmay move to any number of shows within the validity period of the same 30 day pre-movement test. However, female animals aged 18 months and over and bulls aged12 months and over may only be sold on foot of any 30 day pre-movement test.

    No animals allowed entry without current cattle test and ID Card.SHEEP IDENTIFICATION

    On movement off the holding all sheep must be individually identified by anapproved ear tag(s) bearing letters IE, an eight- character flock/herd number andan individual number of no more than 5 digits in accordance with the requirementsof NSIS. Homebred sheep must be tagged in the left ear while sheep that havebeen on one or more previous holdings must also have a tag in the right ear.

    MOVEMENT DOCUMENTATION

    All consignments of sheep being moved must have complete dispatch documentation.

    Individual details of each sheep in the consignment must be recorded.FLOCK REGISTER All movement of sheep to and from shows must be recorded in your flock register,

    use event code S, Also attendance of sheep from scrapie-monitored flocks atshows and sales in 2016 for shows between 1st May and 30th September.

    Sheep from scrapie-monitored flocks will be permitted to attendAgricultural shows taking place between 1st May and 30th Septemberwithout restriction or separation from other categories of sheep

    MADRA DOGS

    The dog show will be held at 2.30pm near the beach gate; dogs can be pre enteredor entered on the day. All dogs must be kept on leads, any dogs showing aggressivebehaviour will not be allowed in the ring. Dogs are not permitted into the small fieldduring cattle and sheep show or into the marquees. Owners are solely responsiblefor their dog at all times and for their dog litter. Judging will be outdoors.
