The next generation of 2016 Infiniti Q60 has already been presented at the Detroit Auto Show. It will appear elegant as always and more powerful.
Improvements and exterior design
Like we have already mentioned, the brand new 2016 Infiniti Q60 has made its debut in Detroit. From what we’ve seen, it will show many improvements and upgrades. First of all, it will ride on the same platform that underpins Q50.
However, its architecture will be made of more aluminum which will affect its weight. In that way, automaker will ensure better aerodynamics and general performance.
When it comes to exterior design, new Infiniti will look really impressive and powerful. It will be a bit longer than its main competitors- BMW 4 Series. The whole body, hood, side, trunk will be curvier which will also improve aerodynamics.
The front end will feature large grille with the famous insignia in the center of it. It will give the whole front fascia more aggressive and powerful look. The head and tail lamps will be also revised. They will be equipped with LED technology. On the rear end, we will notice redesigned bumper and new and attractive taillights.
2016 Infiniti Q60 Interior design
Speaking of the interior of 2016 Infiniti Q60, we could say that it will be in the top of its class. The cabin will be made of premium materials. It will look very modern and luxurious. The dashboard will be redesigned and will get a new dual touch screen display.
The seats will be upholstered in two-tone high quality leather. The steering wheel will be also wrapped with leather with many controls on it. Some of the equipment included will be: Infiniti’s InTouch entertainment system. lane departure warning system, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring etc.
Engine and performance
2016 Infiniti Q60 will be powered with a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbocharged DOHC engine with direct injection. This engine will be able to make around 400 horsepower.
As for the transmission, it will be mated to a seven-speed automatic gearbox. The power will be sent to rear wheels. However, it will also be offered with all-wheel drive.
