Integrated Performance AssessmentContext for the Integrated Performance Assessment (IPA)

As a requirement for a health class you are taking, you must complete an internship at a local hospital. There is a large immigrant population from the Chinese speaking countries (China, Taiwan, Singapore, and etc.) in your community that attends that hospital. Because of your language skills in Mandarin, the hospital administrator has hired you as a paid nurse’s assistant. You must be prepared to discuss healthy eating in the target language.

Task Options:

1. Create and present a poster, video, song or a storybook to promote healthy diet and living using useful terms, suggestions and samples of healthy plates to distribute to the local Chinese schools or community centers.

As a requirement for a health class you are taking, you must complete an internship at a local hospital. There is a large immigrant population from the Chinese speaking countries (China, Taiwan, Singapore, and etc.) in your community that attends that hospital. As a requirement for a health class you are taking, you must complete an internship at a local hospital. Your assignment is to design a healthy diet plan for three meals for a client based on his or her Body Mass Index (BMI) information.
