At contract completion: Advanced contacts and negotiations were established with three US universities (two with an aviation centre), the US Coast Guards, Police & Fire service and a privately owned US company (UAS DoD sector). Preliminary business plan quantifies revenues of in excess of $45m over three years. Over the course of my contract, I managed to complete a professional droneʼs pilot certificate (up to 55lbs). King Abdulaziz City for Science & Technology (KACST - Saudi Arabia) 2012 - 2013 My responsibilities as senior advisor to the Institute engineering department were to assess marketʼs trends and evaluate sales opportunities leading to the formulation of a detailed development plan for investments, industrialization and commercialization of drones (including the use of Satcom). My report also identified the management structure needed to strategize and administer the new business, including service level agreements with the University as well as external entities and the necessary operational supports. At contract completion, projected revenues were identified as in excess of $1b. Atkins Ltd. Engineering Business Unit - Senior Aerospace Advisor 2010 - 2011 I interacted with Board members to set priorities enabling growth while ensuring Atkins would be listed as an Airbus preferred supplier. Demonstrating an in-depth understanding of Airbus operational processes, I implemented and executed a strategy ensuring compliance with Airbus requirements. I led the integration across organizational boundaries, optimizing business synergies to increase revenue streams. At contract completion: Atkins was appointed EADS (Airbus) preferred supplier for engineering services through a new joint venture representing about $75m of consolidated yearly sales. The Society of British Aerospace Companies (SBAC now ADS) 2008 - 2010 Director of Civil Air Transport & Space The UK aerospace sector is the second largest in the world. As a member of the Trade Association Executive Management Team, I shaped and led the creation of Committees to influence government policies and investments. I worked with UK Ministers to define and implement the air transport strategy and priorities for the UK aerospace companies to retain a leadership role within the industry and be recognised as a model of “excellence”. I lead activities introducing drones to the UK Government as a new field for industry specialization and capabilities through the highest executive committees. Achievements: The Government invested $550m in the Airbus A350 program. I published a Civil Aerospace Strategy Report in 2009 and created a new “sector” (Space). I was instrumental in the creation of the new UK Space Agency. The Finmeccanica Group - Senior Advisor - Civil Air Transport (Board Level) 2007 - 2009 I led the industrialization and commercialization of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) across the Group boundaries. I was seconded to the Vega Group (a consultancy firm newly acquired) as Director Business Development to manage multi-functional and multi-site teams responsible for UAS product development and commercial rollout. I chaired, for two years, a UAS European Working Group and was a member of the ICAO newly created UAS Study Group. Invited to co-chair the first UAS Russian international conference in 2007, I subsequently joined the Office of the Russian Minister in an advisory capacity. At contract completion: The commercial rollout of the UAS Falco led to $400m in sales. In 2009, Finmeccanica (Alinea) acquired 25% of Sukhoi ($183m). Advantage Business Group - Director Business Development 2005 - 2007 A $25m company specialised in aviation safety. As a Director reporting to the CEO, my objectives were to identify and drive innovative processes to increase sales and diversifying market penetration (geographic footprint & vertical segments) prior to selling the company. I led and managed a cross-functional business team (including marketing) providing mentoring to maximise sales while optimising operating efficiency. Achievements: Sales increased by $1.5m. Advantage was sold in 2007 for $38m. BAE Consulting Services Ltd - Managing Director 2004 - 2005 Airbus A400M Program – I assisted the French Air Force senior officers in charge of the A400M Program management with commercial strategic guidance. I was asked to generate 10% savings on the telecommunications via satellite (Inmarsat) contractual provision. At contract completion: The contract was rated as “exceeded expectations” as 20% savings were achieved, representing $20m.

Zodiac Group - Vice-President Business Development 2002 – 2004 In-Snec lost its manufacturing contract with Inmarsat, reducing the companyʼs yearly revenues by about $25m. I joined the company, at the request of the CEO to champion change and implement a creative solution based upon my in-depth knowledge of Inmarsat. I managed 70 staff in total. At contract completion: Through successful implementation of a global strategy and the signing of a teaming agreement with a manufacturer in Singapore, In-Snec retained its revenues from Inmarsat. ICO Global Communications – General Manager Government Business 1999 - 2002 The required investments for the development of a new hand-held satellite system could not be channelled through the existing Inmarsat legal structure. A new and separate company needed to be created. I joined ICO as a General Manager and led the detailed formulation of the business case for the Government Business Unit, including strategic direction, go-to-market strategy and pricing as well as all support and customer care operations. With yearly revenues projections in excess of $280m, I managed regional teams of about 65 staff in total and set priorities for the technical application development team. ICO filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in August 1999. Achievement: ICO emerged from Chapter 11 in May 2000. I have been instrumental in securing $700m from new investors INMARSAT – Director Program Management 1989 - 1999 I was responsible for the worldwide Inmarsat connectivity in the fixed-to-mobile direction. This position was regarded as the pinnacle individual contributor role within strategic account management and handled the most challenging and complex global accounts. I also introduced new customer-facing services and developed further the existing customer care programs leading to the implementation of new front-line services. Later, I championed and secured the development and commercialization of a new satellite terminal for the aeronautical sector, and participated in the development, flight-testing activities and the commercialization of a second system today fitted on-board over 15,000 airliners. Achievements: The Inmarsat yearly revenue increased year on year by about $50 million. The commercialization of aeronautical terminals raised an additional $500m in revenues. French National Space Centre (CNES) – Senior Program Manager 1986 – 1989 I have been instrumental in the building of a new satelliteʼs control centre - LEOP of Inmarsat 3 satelliteʼs constellation. (Inmarsat contracted the LEOP of the new satelliteʼs constellation to CNES) Develop and lead the training programs for 6 satellite's controllers. Ensure availability of Earth Stations for satelliteʼs tracking. Senior satellite controller - Telecom 2 satelliteʼs in-orbit operations (government satellite's payload).

French Air Force – Senior Air Traffic Controller 1980 – 1986 Senior air traffic controller with supervisor & instructor certificates. Flew over 1500 hours on military jets and transport aircraft. Participated in the Airborne Warning And Control Systems (AWACS) French program’s studies. Squadron manager and lead officer for Search & Rescue (SAR) Operations.
