Module III: Company Consultation Project -- Issue Based Problem Solving
(27 Jul ~ 3 Aug, 2016)
This program is limited with seats.
The Students who are admitted to this module are provided an orientation focused on cross-cultural
communication and shall participate in the module II of this program and complete a comprehensive set of
readings prior to their consulting assignments. Students will be grouped and the faculty and the tutor from the
company will meet each team in person to discuss their progress during the whole period. The faculty will advise
students on any team level issues or company issues. Finally each student group will give a presentation before
the company representative. Issue Based Problem Solving is a technique used by most major consulting firms.
Students use the tool to identify the key issue facing the firm and to decompose the key question into finer
sub-questions which can be answered using analytical tools. Using IBPS provides logic and structure allowing for a
comprehensive and complete analysis of a strategic problem.
