Gossip Corner
Congratulations to Miss Parker, who is expecting her first baby. We are all excited for her. Congratulations and good luck to Mr Stenning on his travels after Christ-mas. We hope he has an ex-citing adventure and a new experience.
Christmas Prayer
Loving father,
Help us remember the birth
of Jesus that we may share
in the song of the angels,
the gladness of the shep-
herds and the worship of
the wise men. Close the
door of hate and open the
door of peace all over the
world. May the Christmas
morning make us happy to
be the children of god.
Amen

Sports Hall Grand Opening
On the 4th November, our new Sports Hall was
opened. It was a great time and it was full of peo-
ple. On the day, lots of people from Redditch and
our first schools came to watch the great success.
It was opened by former pupil, Luke Sugg, who is
captain of the England Cricket team. It started
off with the singers singing three songs beautiful-
ly. Then, there were speeches from Mr Roberts
and Luke Sugg. He explained about what it was
like for him at this school. Next, Fr.Craig came
and blessed the room Finally, we were presented
with a frame saying when it opened and who by.
This can be found between the two doors going
into the sports hall. The day was a success and
unforgettable.

A trip of a lifetime...
Mr Stenning will be leaving St Bede’s to travel around the world. We asked him some questions and this is what he had to say.
Mr Stenning is very proud of the Sports Hall; he loves that all of the children enjoy his subject. Mr Stenning thinks that the Sports Hall will be a chance for students to try out some new sports.
After Christmas, Sir is plan-ning to go to Bangkok, Thai-land, Vietnam, Cambodia, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. The place he is most ex-cited about visiting is Cambo-dia.
“Travelling is a great oppor-tunity because you get to learn about other cultures and see amazing things.”
Mr Stenning will miss every-one but will be back in the new academic year.
Christmas Poem
Christ, long ago was born
tonight,
He brought us salvation
and true light.
Rejoice they said for you are
saved,
In a manger, under a star he
laid.
So gifts were received from
three kings afar,
They rode on camels and
followed a star.
Mary and Joseph in a stable
they find,
Along with the shepherds,
faithful and kind.
So happy Christmas and a
peaceful new year, wished
from me, to all of you here.

Theatre Trip - Year 5
The Year 5 pupils went to the
Alexandra Theatre to watch
George’s Marvellous Medicine.
The children really enjoyed; it
was very funny. It was about a
boy who created magic medi-
cine!
Beauty and the Beast – Year 6
Beauty and the Beast was thrill-
ing; the ice cream topping it off!
The pantomime had a brilliant
story line and there were all-
round, humorous jokes thrown
in. It was a theatrical story of
revenge and fairy tale. It was a
shame the weather was not the
best but that did not bring peo-
ple down and made everyone
more determined to make their
way to the Redditch Palace
Theatre.
“The well-known story came to
life. I think it was very
thrilling and exciting.”

On Tuesday 6th December, all pu-
pils doing Silver Arts Award got to
go to the Clothes Show at the
NEC. I was lucky enough to get a
chance to go and here is what I
thought of it….. I thought it was
an amazing experience because we got to go shopping with
friends for hours and the actual show was incredible. A
once in a life time experience! The show was bright and
colourful and each performance told its own story. It was a
great opportunity to have and has inspired my own crea-
tivity!
On Wednesday 7th December, fourteen girls in Year 8 got
to go to the Jet Age Museum airfield in Gloucester. There
were several activities to take part in, including building
planes and landing gear. We also learned about weight and
thrust which helped
us build equipment.
It was a wonderful
experience and we
can’t wait to go
again after Christ-
mas.

What made you read the
other books? Was it some-
thing to do with the first?
This book made me read the
