Our beacon AutroSafe provides accurate and reliable fire and gas detection in medi-

um-sized to gigantic installations, on land and at sea. With version 4.8.0 we have made

AutroSafe more robust, including the opportunity to prevent undesired activations, to

adjust the panels' lighting and sound to the external environment, and to suppress the

alarm in environments where clear spoken messages are needed.

AUTROSAFE 4.8.0

AutroSafe 4.8.0 includes several enhancements for all markets we operate in, however several new features will be of specific interest to maritime and land-based installations. Along with the introduction of the new maritime gas panel BS-420MG and our AutroPoint maritime gas detector, we now supply a comprehensive gas safety solution for vessels and installations at sea. More on this under BS-420MG on the following page.

Suppress alarmIn serious situations where evacuations are required, personnel are occasionally required to provide clear directions over the PA system. We have therefore added a support function that allows you to suppress the alarm organs while important messages are conveyed.

Adjustments for the external environmentIn certain environments there are specific requirements to light and sound sources. For example, on a cruise ship's bridge it is important that the external environment is adapted to night mode, ensuring that personnel preserve good night vision while on shift. AutroSafe 4.8.0 has LED lights and automatic adjustment of the panels' brightness. In the watchroom at a hospital it is important to hear as few sounds as possible that can be confused with patient alarms and indicators from medical monitoring equipment. Hence, we have added a feature that allows one to turn off the sound of any error notifications from the panels.

Unwanted activationsAutroSafe 4.8.0 can receive system activation from other systems connected to its own ports. Sometimes these systems send unintended signals, for example in the event of a restart. Other times an undesired condition can be present as soon as AutroSafe is started. With the configurable delays for activation feature, this can be avoided. In cases where AutroSafe has detected errors and needs to send error signals to other systems, these are transferred via our BN-30X I/O units.

Support for alarm storage tableauAutroSafe 4.8.0 includes support for the new emergency service panel (loop panel), custom made for the Swedish market. BU-111 alarm storage tableau is manufactured in accordance with SBF-110:7 2nd edition.

SelfVerify to USBVia the AutroSafe's SelfVerify feature our fire and gas detector systems test themselves. In version 4.8.0 we have made it easier to document the results from the self-verification by exporting the log to USB.

AutroSafe 4.8.0 is IEC 61508 SIL 2 certified, and has certifications DNV, KR, ABS, LT and BV for the maritime market.

MARITIME GAS PANEL BS-420MGIn order to meet the growing market for gas safety at sea, we are now launching a tailored panel in connection

with AutroSafe 4.8.0. This particularly applies to installations that produce or transport liquid LNG, and for

vessels with gas propulsion or dual fuel. The maritime gas panel BS-420MG records measured gas values in real

time, and presents these in a graphical top system, either via Modbus or to AutroMaster. The panel meets the

requirements of the EN 60079-29-1 standard. This particularly applies to installations that produce or transport

liquid LNG, and for vessels with gas propulsion or dual fuel.

According to the regulations, the warning system cannot combine fire and gas detection on floating installations and vessels. The maritime gas panel BS-420MG in combination with AutroPoint maritime gas detector resolves this, and the products are certified in accordance with EN 60079-29-1, as well as several maritime classification agencies such as DNV, KR, ABS, LR and BV.

Detecting leaks as early as possible is a critical factor on installations transporting gas. If leaks occur, in addition to detection and warning there will be an immediate need to control fans, valves, doors or other systems to gain control of the situation. The BS-420MG maritime gas panel therefore has an Al_com loop for extra ports and panels. If the AutroMaster graphical top system or a programmable logic controller (PLC) is installed in the solution, these will need to read analogue values either from the gas detectors or from the 4-20mA ports. (BN-342/x). This is done via Modbus or AutroCom.

BS-420MG also supports active monitoring of gas values in up to 5 selected detectors.

AUTROMASTER 4.3.3Our AutroMaster top system is an intuitive graphical

control and monitoring tool that ensures that you have

a full overview in emergency situations. By controlling

safety from one and the same place, you have control

at all times and save valuable time when seconds count.

Now, we are introducing a number of new features that

make AutroMaster even stronger.

AutroMaster integrates and centralizes the fire and gas detection system. This allows you to monitor safety from one and the same place. AutroMaster 4.3.3 has the same solid basic package as previous versions, with the opportunity to display customer-specific information in information layers in monitored areas. In addition to actual fire detection, you can have an overview of power and water supply, sprinkler systems, emergency lighting, escape routes, fire doors or other objects that can provide relevant information in an emergency situation. The information layers can be switched on and off to simplify the overview and present only necessary information.

Fast troubleshooting

Via the SNMP standard - Simple Network Management Protocol - AutroMaster 4.3.3 continuously monitors its network connections. This SNMP module performs fast troubleshooting and provides more accurate information on the condition of your network.

Integration for larger and more complex emergency lighting systems

AutroMaster 4.3.3 can be integrated with our new emergency lighting central Siebecontrol, which can address more than 20,000 emergency lights.

Change of sensitivity class

Temporary changes to the detection system can now easily be achieved from AutroMaster 4.3.3. Instead of disconnecting one or more detectors when work is being carried out in a given area, you can set the detectors to e.g. industry class or disconnect smoke detection on the multisensors. This allows you to maintain detection in the area.

Remote control of LED lights

The LED lights on the detectors can now be controlled directly from AutroMaster 4.3.3. With clear lighting and indication of the detector's location, it is easier to carry out maintenance on the detection system. The feature can be controlled via tablet while inspecting the building.

New feature in plotting table

AutroMaster 4.3.3's plotting table provides the information you need via intuitive symbols. Fire team, stretcher team, medical incidents and similar are features that are integrated in the monitoring. This time we have extended the plotting table to include a custom polygon that can be dragged over areas one wishes to assign a specific definition, for example to indicate a “no-go” area.

The AutroPath HC800 line-of-sight gas detector

integrates easily with the AutroSafe interactive fire and

gas safety solution.

Page 15: 2016 SUPERNOVA

Our new AutroPath HC800 represents an entirely new generation of

line-of-sight gas detection, which optimizes safety where conditions are

particularly demanding using new technology.

LINE GAS DETECTION IN HARSH ENVIRONMENTS

AutroPath HC800 infrared line-of-sight gas detector is designed to provide safety in tough conditions such as those on fog-covered oil platforms in the North Sea, on large and busy railways or in the harsh Arctic climate. Here, standard detection is inadequate.

The line-of-sight gas detector’s optical field of view has been improved by 60 per cent compared to what has previously been available on the market. This allows for a more tolerant and faster initial adjustment, increases tolerance for vibrations and allows faster installation.

The detector works in temperature ranges between -55 to +75 °C, and has an upgraded infrared source with a long lifetime and a 10-year guarantee. The detector also has power consumption management and easily visible LED lights.

The diagnostic feature significantly reduces the time and effort required to identify errors.

Page 16: 2016 SUPERNOVA

Optical flame detection is the fastest way to discover gas and liquid fires at an early ignition stage. Current flame detectors are offered in constantly new types and with different technology, but the two greatest challenges remain the same; guaranteed fire detection and reduction of false alarms.

WORLD CLASS FLAME DETECTION

The improved AutroFlame X33AF is the class leader in flame detection, both in terms of coverage area, field of view, false alarm immunity and reliability. The new edition has the class's longest detection distance and is certified for the greatest number of fire types in accordance with FM 3260. With a fast response time and SIL2 certification X33AF, is a safe choice for flame detection.

The flame detector utilizes multispectrum IR detection. By using three different IR sensors simultaneously, the detector achieves the optimum combination of flame detection and false alarm immunity. AutroFlame X33AF also distinguishes between fire and other heat sources in the monitored area. Continuous self-testing of optics and detection area in combination with an integrated heating element to combat snow, ice and condensation, allow the detector to have a longer service interval. This ensures fire detection regardless of the weather.

SAFETY IN EX ZONESWhen our own intuition and awareness sees hazardous situations before

the detector has time to react, we can immediately activate the fire and gas

detection system ourselves using manual call points.

Manual call points are loop units that are designed to implement immediate measures where milliseconds count, for example in explosive environments.

The BF-500V2/N manual call point is designed for indoor use in EX zone 2, easily visible with LED lights on front and an optional cover to protect against unwanted activation.

Its rugged counterpart is the addressable BF-506/EX in aluminium, which is certified for for EX zone 0, 1 and 2. With IP66 and a protective cover it ensures safety even in harsh conditions.

Both manual call points comply with the EN 54 standard, which ensures universal design of manual call points.

In some instances, locations that require temperature monitoring can be difficult to reach for a heat detector. In

those cases, cable is the answer. Silos, transformers, tunnels, tanks and freezers are examples of locations where

heat-detecting cable provides reliable and flexible monitoring.

LINEAR HEAT DETECTION

Alarmline linear heat detection effectively monitors temperature variations and detects heat before it develops into a fire. The cable can be used in environments with temperatures ranging from -40 °C to + 200 °C, and easily covers areas where traditional detection is unsuitable.

Depending on the area you want to protect, you can choose between an analogue or digital cable. Analogue systems continuously monitor the temperature, and trigger an alarm in the event of sudden changes in temperature and at defined temperature limits.

If the area only requires notification at a defined temperature limit, a digital system is sufficient. This is more cost-effective with regard to procurement, installation and maintenance.

Alarmline linear heat detection is connected to AutroSafe or Autroprime fire detection solutions via I/O.

AUTROVOICE VOICE ALARMThe big news this spring is the introduction of new voice alarm systems.

With AutroVoice miniVES and MULTIVES we take a quantum leap in

technology, and launch a spearhead in this segment that allows us to

meet the customers' requirements for clear and distinct notifications.

AutroVoice miniVES

For smaller and basic buildings we supply miniVES, a plug & play voice alarm solution.

For slightly larger installations, multiple miniVES units can be placed at various locations in the building and then be linked to a network based on cable or fibre.

AutroVoice MULTIVES

For larger and more advanced installations we offer MULTIVES voice alarm system, where flexibility and functionality is limited only by one's imagination.

A good example is safety at schools, where we tailor good solutions that safeguard current needs for handling threats and undesired incidents.

MULTIVES will be available in Q3-2016miniVES will be available in Q4-2016

Page 25: 2016 SUPERNOVA

Voice alarm have been a requirement in larger buildings for some time, because the system contributes to reduce evacuation times by way of clear and unambiguous messages. Experience shows that voice alarms prevent panic and contribute to faster and more structured evacuation.

More and more tunnels are equipped with camera surveillance, and the road authorities are automatically notified and receive a direct video link when unexpected incidents occur. AutroVoice MULTIVES in combination with our specially designed tunnel speakers will cover the requirement to guide and lead people in the right direction in the event of evacuation.

The voice alarm system's flexibility and built-in safety meets applicable requirements with regard to communication with the Traffic Report Centre, predefined messages, secure communication between units and other safety equipment.

AUTROPRIME 2.0.3Autroprime offers the world a high-tech, simpler and more

cost-effective fire detection system for small and medium sized

installations. This ensures that day care centres, churches, housing

cooperatives, smaller hotels, fishing vessels and yachts are protected

against fire.

Autroprime is a fire detection system that is certified in accordance with international standards. The system is developed with high quality in mind, while also being easy to install and operate. As a more cost-effective option to big brother AutroSafe, it provides the fire safety required by smaller installations, efficiently and reliably. In the new version Autroprime 2.0.3 we have fixed issues and brought the system one step further. We have added a few requested features and simplified installation and operation. It is now possible to replace detectors and points of the same type without having to restart the entire fire detection system. This greatly simplifies maintenance. Previously, monitoring of the power system has been somewhat sensitive, something we have remedied and which will lead to fewer error messages. Autroprime 2.0.3 also provides better indication of loop breaks.

Further, it is now possible to operate Autroprime from a single (or dual) external 24V power supply. If this solution is used, it is important to note that the external 24V power supply must be approved in accordance with EN 54.

Page 27: 2016 SUPERNOVA
Page 28: 2016 SUPERNOVA

When cultural buildings, concert halls and other landmark buildings are to be secured, there are often stringent requirements to the aesthetics and design of safety products that will always be visible. Our emergency lights meets such requirements, from simple and reasonable solutions to more complex solutions that impose requirements on visual expression.

Our new emergency lights Display 9000 and Display 9100 with LED lights are designed specifically with decoration in mind. The emergency lights are supplied with details in brushed stainless steel.

In an emergency situation, clear indication of emergency exits is decisive for

the outcome. Adequate lighting and good design is therefore essential for

products designed to lead people to safety.

LEADING THE WAY

Page 29: 2016 SUPERNOVA

Centralized emergency lighting system

Seeing the entire emergency lighting system from one place provides great advantages in terms of operation and maintenance. Status for the system and each individual emergency light fixture can be easily monitored via our presentation tool AutroMaster.

In the same manner as you may monitor the fire alarm system via a central screen, we now offer a corresponding overview of the emergency lighting system. Large buildings can have up to several thousand emergency light fixtures, and with AutroMaster the building's operations supervisor gains control of the entire system. If failures occur, AutroMaster indicates exactly which emergency light that has failed and where it is located in the building.

Page 30: 2016 SUPERNOVA
Page 31: 2016 SUPERNOVA

EFFECTIVE WARNING WITH ALARM STORAGE The “Larmlagringstablå” is a loop panel specially designed for requirements imposed by the Swedish market

on fire safety pursuant to the SBF 110:7 regulations. The panel provides a local summary of where the alarm is

sounded, and stores the alarm temporarily for a given time – allowing an investigation of the source – before the

fire service is summoned.

The “Larmlagringstablå” can be used in a large variety of buildings and for different solutions, but a typical example is nursing homes that typically have several wings. Here BU-111 panel is installed in each wing, and notifies if one of the detectors in the wing sounds an alarm. Employees at the nursing home may then directly respond to the alarm, and have time to inspect the room or area covered by the detector. If there is an actual fire, they trigger the fire alarm and notify the fire service via a manual call point. If it is a false alarm, they can reset the detector directly from the BU-111 panel.

If two detectors at the nursing home sound an alarm, the panel becomes inaccessible to the staff and will only state that the fire service has been notified. BU-111 is placed directly on AutroSafe 4's detector loop.

Page 32: 2016 SUPERNOVA

WATER MIST SUPPRESSIONWe are now launching a completely new range of FlexiFOG water

mist nozzles to replace our previous FlexiFOG system. The new

nozzles comprise a compre hensive system that easily retrofit to

previous FlexiFOG installations, or that can be installed as a new

water mist system. The benefit of water mist as a suppression agent

is that one uses small amounts of water, and thus limits potential

water damage to a minimum.

Water mist is tiny droplets of water that are dispersed in the air forming a thick mist. The mist is produced in a nozzle, either by mechanically breaking up a jet of water or by two jets of water colliding at an angle and crushing each other. The droplets in the water mist remain suspended and are drawn into the flame area with the air. When the water mist hits the flames, each droplet expands 1760 times and displaces the oxygen, suppressing the fire.

New FlexiFOG OH provides efficient fire suppression, and the discreet design allows the system to easily fit in with its surroundings. This makes the water mist system well suited to cruise ships, where in many cases there are strict requirements to external design.

New FlexiFOG, micro model OH

• Low water and power consumption. No need for extra pump capacity. • More reliable. Reduced risk of clogs and leaks• High quality makes the nozzles corrosion-proof throughout their lifetime• The nozzles have a low design profile and have elements that may be

customized with colour and various materials.• Affordable • Simple installation• Effective maintenance, the nozzles are easily replaced as needed and comply

with the new regulation IMO MSC.1 / Circ.1516 (annual nozzle testing).

Typical application areas for water mist on cruise ships

1. Cabins2. Corridors3. Common areas / open locations4. Storage5. Shopping areas

The FlexiFOG OH nozzles are tested in accordance with IMO resolution MSC.265 ( 84 ) and A.800 ( 19 ), and are MED certified by DnV - GL .

What happens if you have to evacuate the airport?

The growth in air traffic over the past 20 years has by far exceeded that of other sources of people transport. Just between 2003 and 2010, the number of flights between Norway and abroad increased by 76% *.

The consequences of evacuating an airport, with the following delays in air traffic, are severe, both to society and in direct economic losses.

There are many reasons why air traffic is delayed. Fire or unwanted alarms do not have to be one of them.

How many people are you responsible for on any given night?

A hotel visit should be pleasant and worry-free. Very few guests give a second thought to fire safety during their stay. That’s why it is necessary that you do.

Have you ever thought about the complexity of a hotel? From the spa to the kitchen, stages with pyrotechnic smoke, large atriums and underground parking. Hotels are often high-rise buildings, and it is a long way from the top floor to safety.

Safety on the outside

High-rises, schools, daycare centres, museums, asylum centres, cultural heritage – over the last years there have been many examples of fires originating in façades causing much damage. These fires are not discovered before the smoke has seeped into the building, where the detectors are located. Then it might be too late.

One of the major challenges protecting the outside of buildings is isolating the monitoring to just the façade, and not the surrounding areas. Snow, rain and dirt are also affecting the detection. We have found a solution that works.

Safety threats against children are our worst nightmare

Our children spend most of their day in school or preschool. Our biggest fear is that something will threaten their safety – whether it is fire or other threats.

The everyday life here focuses on play, education and development. For those owning and running these establishments, however, safety must always be a top priority.

Our job is protecting those closest to our hearts.

Façades

FAÇADE FIRE SAFETY

High-rises, schools, daycare centres, museums, asylum centres, cultural heritage – over the last years there have been many examples of fires originating in façades causing much damage.

These fires are not discovered before the smoke has seeped into the building, where the detectors are located. Then it might be too late.

The place that can never be evacuated

A hospital is a large, complex construction to protect. It usually consists of several buildings spread over a large area, and here there are activities going on that can not be interrupted, even by fire. If an evacuation still is required, it is a time consuming exercise, with many immobile patients.

We must also take to heart that we live in a globalized world, where we need systems to deal with terror threats effectively – even in a hospital.

In such cases it is useful to have a system that requires minimal time to detect and raise the alarm.

Clear communication if things go wrong

In tunnels advanced voice alarm systems are required with customized tunnel speakers. Here there must be clear and distinct voices, and rugged systems in stainless steel that can also withstand conditions with loud acoustics.

Redundant communication between control units and fireman microphone ensure that the message is clearly heard throughout the tunnel.

TUNNELER

8,000 people are at sea – and you're responsible for their safety.

A cruise should be pleasant and worry-free. Very few guests give a second thought to the fire safety onboard. That’s why it is necessary that you do.

Have you ever thought about the complexity of a cruise ship? From the spa to the kitchen, stages with pyrotechnic smoke, large atriums and below sea level machine rooms. And in addition, cruise ships spend most of the time miles from solid ground.

We help keep your passengers safe.

As much smoke as possible – without fire

Large concert arenas holding thousands of people and small assembly halls worthy of preservation have two things in common: They often use artificial smoke and pyrotechnics– and smoke detection is a requirement. This is often solved by placing a plastic bag over the detector during the show. This is not an optimal solution.

We make sure the show can on.

Stages

We supply comprehensive solutions with top system, smoke detection, flame detection, monitoring and access control.

Our flame detector and our multisensors react fast and have a high level of immunity against pyrotechnical smoke.

F&G detection system for LNG plants

The historical safety record for the LNG industry is strong. Engineering, installation and lifetime use takes into account the well known hazards of such an installation. Different levels of protection ensure that potential hazards are discovered and eliminated before they become a major risk to the installation premises and the people working there.

Reliable gas detection has been close to impossible in the dirtiest environments offshore. So far.

In the harshest oil and gas environments, achieving reliable gas detection is extremely challenging. One of the primary concerns in the drilling area of an oil rig, is hydrocarbon leakage from the well. The risk is that this may lead to a “blow out”.

Up until now, traditional IR detectors have been chosen for this task, due to a lack of other options. However, traditional IR gas detectors rely on close proximity to the source for the best results. This is not suitable in extreme conditions where the risk of detector pollution is extremely high, such as shale shaker rooms.
