WE ARE AN EVALUATION FIRM THAT SPECIALIZES IN PROFESSIONAL
UNDERWATER TANK INSPECTIONS.
WE USED A REMOTE OPERATED VEHICLE (ROV) TO COMPLETE THE
INSPECTION IN A CLEAN AND SANITARY MANNER WITHOUT INTERRUPTING
THE SYSTEM.

INTERIOR COATING OPTIONS
Interior Wet –Epoxy Coating System:
Field Surface Preparation:
All of interior surface needs to be blasted in accordance with the recommended methods outlined
in The Society for Protective Coatings Specification SSPC-SP10 (NACE No. 2). Also remove all
weld spatters, rough or sharp edges on weld seams by grinding them smooth allowing paint to be
applied evenly preventing pin holes.
Clean Surfaces:
All surfaces needs to be cleaned of blast media and dust by vacuuming.
Field Prime Coat:
Immediately after abrasive blasting and before any rusting occurs, apply one complete coat of
Sherwin Williams Dura plate 235 (color beige) resulting in a dry film thickness of 4.0 to 6.0 mils
Pit Filling:
Fill all pitted areas with an owner’s pre-approved epoxy filler and weld any pits over half the
thickness of shell.
Finish Coat:
Apply 2ND coat of Sherwin Williams Dura plate 235 (Color white to insure coating was applied
evenly preventing pin holes and holidays) Resulting in a finish dry film thickness of 8.0 to 12.0
mils.
Sealing Voids In Roof:
After all interior painting seam seal all non-immersed areas such as lap joints and voids between
rafters under 3/8 of an inch from roof with A flexible caulk that will bond to a steel surface such
as Silkaflex 1A .
Note: @ 77 degrees a 7 day cure time before tank can be filled.
All paints being used must be preapproved and (ANS/NSF) certified for potable water.
All surfaces to be refinished shall be prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Steel Structure
Painting Council (SSPC). All paints shall comply with (ASTM) specifications and delivered in sealed
containers & labeled by manufacturer. All coating being used should be within its shelf life and
stored at a minimum of 20 degrees and a maximum of 110 degrees. Do not paint over any
surfaces where moisture content exceeds 15 percent or more of water. The moisture content can
be determined by using a moisture meter.
