Roger Ballentine (Co-Chair) President, Green Strategies Inc. Roger Ballentine is the President of Green Strategies Inc., where he provides management consulting services to corporate and financial sector clients on sustainability strategy; investment and transaction evaluation and project development execution in the clean energy sector; and the integration of energy and environmental policy considerations into business strategy. He is also a Venture Partner with Arborview Capital LLC, a private equity firm making growth capital investments in the clean energy and energy efficiency sectors. Previously, Roger was a senior member of the White House staff, serving President Bill Clinton as Chairman of the White House Climate Change Task Force and Deputy Assistant to the President for Environmental Initiatives. Jacquelyn Birdsall Senior Engineer, Toyota Motor North America Jacquelyn Birdsall is a Senior Engineer in the Fuel Cell Hybrid Vehicle group of Toyota Motor North America Research and Development specializing in hydrogen infrastructure, high pressure hydrogen systems and associated codes, standards and regulations. Recently she returned from a thirteen-month assignment at the Toyota Motor Corporation Global Headquarters where she worked directly with the Fuel Cell Division in Toyota City, Japan. Bill Brown CEO, NET Power, LLC Bill is the CEO of NET Power, LLC, which is working with Exelon and CB&I to commercialize a technology that will allow the world to meet its climate targets without having to pay more for electricity. Bill is also the cofounder of 8 Rivers Capital, LLC, the inventor of the Allam Cycle. Bill is a graduate of MIT and Duke Law. He was a law partner at Sidley Austin and had an extensive career in financial services, holding leadership positions at Goldman Sachs & Co., AIG International, and Morgan Stanley. He was also a professor at Duke Law School. Andrea Hudson Campbell Partner, Van Ness Feldman Andrea Campbell advises automobile manufacturers, engine and equipment manufacturers, electric utilities, trade associations, and coalitions on a variety of environmental matters, particularly those under the Clean Air Act. She counsels clients on the development and implementation of regulations addressing vehicle emission standards, Corporate Average Fuel Economy and EPA vehicle GHG emission standards, and California zero-emission and advanced vehicle programs. Edward Comer Professor, University of Pennsylvania Law School Edward Comer served as General Counsel to the Edison Electric Institute for more than 20 years prior to his retirement at the end of 2016. He was involved in addressing strategic business and policy options for the industry and oversaw all legal issues and interpretations related to matters affecting EEI and its members. At EEI, Ed was intensively involved in matters involving Climate Change, renewable energy, and distributed power services, as well as state and federal regulatory issues. James Connaughton (Co-Chair) President & CEO, Nautilus Data Technologies James Connaughton is a nationally distinguished energy, environment, technology expert, as both corporate leader and prominent White House policymaker. In 2001, Mr. Connaughton was unanimously confirmed by the US Senate to serve as Chairman of the White House Council on Environmental Quality. He served as President George W. Bush’s senior advisor on energy, environment and natural resources, and as Director of the White House Office of Environmental Policy. During his service with the federal government, Connaughton worked closely with the President, the Cabinet and the Congress to develop and implement energy, environment, natural resource, and climate change policies. An avid ocean conservationist, Mr. Connaughton also helped establish four of the largest and most ecologically diverse marine resource conservation areas in the world. Mark Correll Deputy Assistant Secretary for Environment, Safety and Infrastructure, US Air Force Mark Correll is Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Environment, Safety and Infrastructure. He is responsible for all matters pertaining to the formulation, review and execution of plans, policies, programs and budgets for environmental, safety, occupational health, infrastructure and installation energy programs. Mr. Correll was commissioned in the Air Force as a graduate of the US Air Force Academy, earning a degree in civil engineering. He commanded two civil engineer squadrons, a mission support group and an air base wing. Mr. Correll is registered as a licensed professional engineer in the state of Texas.

Ryan Costello Representative (PA-06), US Congress Congressman Ryan A. Costello was re-elected to a second term in the US House of Representatives in 2016 to serve the people of Pennsylvania’s Sixth Congressional District. As a sophomore member, Ryan serves on the Energy and Commerce Committee, as well as the Communications and Technology Subcommittee, the Digital Commerce and Consumer Protection Subcommittee, and the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee. Ryan is a life-long resident of Chester County, where he lives with his wife, Christine, and their son, Ryan Jr, and their daughter, Caroline. A graduate of Owen J. Tanuj Deora Chief Strategy Officer, Smart Electric Power Alliance Tanuj Deora is Chief Strategy Officer of the Smart Electric Power Alliance, whose mission is to facilitate the utility industry's transition to a clean energy future through research, education, and collaboration. In his role Tanuj leads content development, including leading the research, advisory, and communications teams, and supervises SEPA's 51st State Initiative. His prior experience includes commercial management of IHS CERA's North American Power, Gas, and Renewables portfolio, service in the Cabinet of Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper as director of the Colorado Energy Office, wind energy project development for EDPR, and as a strategy consultant for McKinsey. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BSME from the University of Texas. Dan Esty Hillhouse Professor of Environmental Law and Policy, Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies and Yale Law School; Director, Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy Dan Esty is the Hillhouse Professor at Yale University in the Forestry & Environment School and Law School and at the School of Management. Professor Esty is the author or editor of ten books and dozens of articles on environmental protection, energy, and sustainability - and their connections to policy, corporate strategy, competitiveness, trade, and economic success. Prior to his Yale Professorship, he served in the US EPA and was a senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics in Washington, DC. From 2011-14, Professor Esty served as Commissioner of Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. Will Fadrhonc Lead, Global Energy Policy and Markets, Google Will Fadrhonc is a Lead in Google's Global Energy Policy and Markets team. He focuses on market development and advancing the Company's goal of powering it's technical infrastructure around the clock with carbon free energy. Prior to Google, Will worked at a battery storage company, Stem, where he led policy and utility business development, including selling 85 MW of aggregated energy storage to Southern California Edison. Will has a Masters in Environmental Management and MBA from Duke University.

Jay Faison Founder & CEO, ClearPath Foundation Jay Faison is the Founder and CEO of the ClearPath Foundation, whose mission is to accelerate conservative clean energy solutions. Jay is also the Founder and Chairman of SnapAV, a high growth company that designs and distributes more than 2,000 audio-video related products to technology integrators worldwide. The success of ClearPath led Politico to name Jay one of the top 50 “visionaries transforming American politics” in 2015. A serial entrepreneur, Jay has started, managed and sold two businesses prior to SnapAV. Jay graduated with a degree in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received his MBA from University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. Jay resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife and three children. Patrick Falwell Senior Director, Green Strategies Inc. Patrick is a Senior Director and works with clients on a range of state and federal policy issues covering renewables, energy efficiency, and zero emission technologies. Elizabeth lead Walmart’s achievement of doubling their fleet efficiency for which they won Green Fleet of the Year in 2017. She is involved in a diversity of projects and initiatives including energy and operational efficiency, renewable energy, advanced vehicle technologies including autonomous vehicles, building design and technologies, packaging, water, waste and recycling, and supplier engagement. Elizabeth has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary and gained an interest and appreciation for sustainability through her work in the remote Northern regions of Canada with the Aboriginal people. Dave Grossman (Rapporteur) Principal, Green Light Group Dave Grossman is the principal of Green Light Group, a consulting practice specializing in research, analysis, writing, and strategy on sustainability issues, with a particular focus on climate change and clean energy. Hart is Professor and Director of the Center for Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy at the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University. Professor Hart is a senior fellow on clean energy innovation policy at the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation, where he also is a member of the board of directors, and a non-resident senior fellow in the Metropolitan Policy Program at the Brookings Institution. David Hayes Distinguished Visiting Lecturer in Law, Stanford University David J. Mitch Jackson Vice President, Environmental Affairs and Sustainability, FedEx Corporation Mitch Jackson leads the strategic direction and provides vision for all aspects of the company’s sustainability initiatives and environmental innovations and technologies. Jackson helped envision and pioneer the implementation of hybrid and electric vehicles in the FedEx fleet, and ultimately in commercial vehicles. He championed the first FedEx solar energy system, with it being California’s then largest corporate rooftop array. He was also the key driver for the establishment of the first FedEx sustainability goals and has responsibility for current and future goals.

Brian Janous Director, Energy Strategy and Research, Microsoft Brian is responsible for leading the development and execution of Microsoft’s global data center energy strategy. These data centers provide the foundational cloud infrastructure for Microsoft’s online and cloud services for consumers and businesses worldwide. His responsibilities include oversight of all energy supply agreements, renewable energy purchasing, distributed generation, and strategic partnerships to ensure a power supply that is reliable and sustainable. As Director of the Energy Strategy and Research team, he creates end-to-end strategies that will drive innovations in the next generation of Microsoft data centers, and supports efforts to establish energy market policies that will foster end-user innovation. James Koehler Faculty, Georgetown University James Koehler is a part-time faculty member at Georgetown University, where he teaches a graduate course on energy structure and markets to students in the School of Foreign Service and School of Business. In his full-time position, he is Vice President for Energy Markets and Policy at Palmetto™, an integrated real-estate and clean energy financial firm based out of Charleston, SC. In his spare time, he is an avid fly-fisherman and waterfowl hunter. Jake Levine Associate & Policy Advisor, Covington & Burling LLP Jake Levine is an associate and policy advisor in the Los Angeles office of Covington & Burling LLP. Recently, Mark founded and is CEO of Radia, Inc. Radia provides innovative solutions at the interface of environment, energy, aerospace. Previously, Mark founded BioScale, which is transforming chronic disease management through novel bioclinical analytics and digital health technologies, and Active Control eXperts, Inc. which made piezoelectric systems to control vibrations. Mark also founded wireless software provider Ripcord Systems (SoftBank). Mark earned his Economics MPhil from Oxford, as a Rhodes Scholar, and an MBA from MIT's Sloan School as a Leaders for Manufacturing Fellow. He earned BS/MS in Aero/Astro from MIT. Jorge Madrid Manager, California Clean Energy, Environmental Defense Fund Jorge Madrid is the Manager for California Clean Energy at the Environmental Defense Fund. He works on building new and innovative partnerships for EDF, and also manages statewide pilot and demonstration projects. Jorge is a nationally recognized voice on climate equity issues and works to ensure clean energy policies are inclusive and benefit all communities, particularly low-income communities and people of color. He is a founding board member for Voces Verdes, a national organization that seeks to elevate Latino voices on climate and clean energy policy making, as well as a board member of the Los Angeles Sustainability Collaborative. He holds a Masters in Urban Planning and Public Administration from the University of Southern California. Brian Marrs Director, Energy Markets, Microsoft Brian Marrs is the Director of Energy Markets at Microsoft, based out of the company’s Redmond, WA headquarters. With more than 10 years of global commercial experience in the energy industry, Brian leads efforts to develop and execute Microsoft’s data center energy strategy. Prior to joining Microsoft, Brian served as a power system economics expert for NRG Energy, one of the largest competitive power companies in the United States. Brian holds a graduate degree in energy economics & policy from Yale University, and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia. Thomas Meth Co-Founder & Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Enviva Biomass Thomas is a co-founder and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing of the Enviva family of companies. Enviva is the world’s largest producer of wood pellets, with sales of more than 2.3 million metric tons in 2016.
