Course Objectives & Goals:This interactive course provides an opportunity for participants to expand their knowledge base and clinical skills to allow for management of simple maxillary sinus cases. Through the use of lecture and participation activities doctors will learn how to perform the transcrestal augmentation technique and build up bone in the posterior maxilla. Emphasis will be placed on simple and practical approaches to place dental implants simultaneously with sinus lift on flat or inclined sinus floor.By the end of this course participants will have gained:

Dr. John DiPonziano has been performing the surgical placement and prosthetic restoration of dental implants since the mid-eighties. LEVEL 4 COMTEMPORARY SOLUTION for ANTERIOR MAXILLA

Course Objectives & Goals:Late implant placement following extraction, with a healing period of 6–12 months prior to implant placement has been traditionally considered the standard of care, because a fully healed ridge will ensure implant insertion in a stable ridge dimension. But the bone availability for implant placement may have been hampered by the resorptive changes occurring in the ridge after tooth extraction. To overcome these potential drawbacks, different alternative approaches have been proposed, such as immediate implant placement at the time of extraction or early implant placement following a few weeks of soft tissue healing prior to implant insertion. Specific indications and limitations will be discussed during the presentation to ensure esthetic, and functional predictability of the procedure.

Course Objectives & Goals:Discussing the anatomy, physiology and healing capacity of soft tissuesUnderstanding the factors necessary to optimize soft tissue aesthetics around implantsExploring active soft tissue management, including possible post-operative complications and their managementAppreciating the limits of soft tissue gain in relation to graftingExperiencing and practice microsurgical techniques for grafting, looking at split and full thickness flaps Understanding connective tissue grafting using substitute bio-materials

10 11

Implant placement into postextraction sockets with a provisional restoration in nonfunctional occlusion in the maxillary anterior region has increased in use and clinical relevance in modern day dentistry. Treatment procedures are condensed into fewer patient appointments, reducing overall treatment time and increasing patient comfort.

HOW TO REGISTERTESTIMONIALS

AIC Implant Training was a great platform for me to start placing implants (easier than a molar root canal by far). The live placement is really what puts it over the top versus most other courses out there.

After my training I started slow and wanted to place one implant every month for the first year. It’s now 16 months later and I have placed 19 implants (just did 5 in the last 2 weeks, including a 3 implant case of 4, 5, 6), placed about two dozen bone grafts/socket preservations, and have about a 6-10 cases (from 1-4 implants at a time) that should be getting done in the next 2-3 months. Bottom line is that this course was what helped me get to the advanced novice stage of implant practice.

The AIC Live Surgery course was very helpful for me as it is local here in Phoenix! It was very well organized and very thorough. It covered the basic and systemic approaches to surgical implant placement starting in case selection, reading radiographs and scans, complications in surgeries and prosthetics, selection of abutments and parts for specific case and hands on with flaps, sutures, implant placement on models and impression techniques, basically A-Z. The live surgery portion was great as I could learn the drill sequence and angulations first hand. The instructors were knowledgeable and enthusiastic to help and finally the support from the company is awesome! I can ask help from the sales representatives or instructors (even after the training) and they will come out to my office to help with my cases to make sure I am comfortable and confident. Highly recommended!

I could not place an implant after taking a couple of different implant courses. However, I started my own implant placement business after completing the AIC Implant Course, including Basic and Advanced.

I have already completed over 400 fixtures over the last 3~4 years. It is a comprehensive and well organized course, and I would recommend this highly to anyone interested in pursuing this field.
