Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), or the communicative approach, is an approach to language teaching which IDEA Academia applies in most of its classes. It emphasizes real-world interaction as both the means and the ultimate goal of study.

PREP uses the logical discourse in answering or making a point in a conversation. It is a logical way of

communicating where the proper order of thoughts or ideas is (1) to express one’s point, (2) to express one’s reason (3) to support one’s reason by coming up with examples or evidence, and (4) to come up with a conclusion which is a summary of the main point expressed.

With PREP, the language learner is able to express his opinion in a logical way and in an order that is

persuasive and impactful in English communication.

Communicative Method ‐Active Listening-Promoting Active Listening in class to language learners is a way for them to learn not just to recognize what has been heard,

but to acknowledge (REPEAT keywords from what has been heard), give feedback or express understanding (REACT) and to

question or comment on what they heard (REPLY). Active Listening is a an important tool for second language learners to understand

and take part actively and confidently in an English conversations.
