Government Speak

We are committed to strengthen the healthcare system, and ensure availability of quality healthcare facilities in far-flung areas. The Government has opened six AIIMS, and we plan to open 12 more. I am very happy that wellness as a topic is being addressed officially in this coveted expo. In my opinion, health is of prime importance and one should take positive steps towards maintaining good health. I hope that this conference will inspire you - as health leaders, professionals and key stakeholders - to adopt new approaches to improve outcomes in health delivery services.

Faggan Singh KulasteUnion Minister of State for Health and Family WelfareGovernment of India

Our ministry is actively supporting research in Ayurveda and other alternative medicines to fulfil the objectives of building collaborative research network, demonstrate value of AYUSH, facilitate human resource development and develop strategies based on policy and analysis. I am happy to compliment Exhibitions India Group for organising Wellness India 2017 expo. Wellness is not limited to elite people who go to spas, the concept of wellness is a more inclusive construct.

Vaidya Rajesh KotechaSpecial Secretary, Ministry of AYUSHGovernment of India

A country with more than 70% of population below 40 years of age cannot afford to lose its youth energy and youth power because of diabetes, heart disease or other metabolic diseases. Therefore, prevention is key for any successful future health strategy for India in the 21st century. I appreciate the organisers of Wellness India 2017 expo for having thought of a unique theme which is not often discussed during medical conferences. I also appreciate the Scientific Committee for having categorized the three-day event into three different parts, namely organic, health and biotech.

Dr. Jitendra SinghUnion Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space Government of India

Prevention and awareness about non-communicable diseases, which are largely linked with our way of living, dietary habits, lack of exercise, etc., will go a long way in ensuring that the country remains healthy. India can reap the benefits of its demographic dividend only when the youth of the country are healthy. Felicitations to Exhibitions India Group for making efforts towards a healthier nation by organising Wellness India 2017 expo.

JP NaddaUnion Minister of Health and Family WelfareGovernment of India

Rising income levels, ageing population, growing health awareness and changing attitude towards preventive healthcare are expected to boost healthcare demands in future. This leading trade event will provide a business platform to professionals of the industry and go a long way to serve the needs of the Indian health, biotech and organic industries. The exhibitors and trade visitors to Wellness India 2017 expo should draw the maximum advantage from this opportunity.

Nirmala SitharamanUnion Minister of Defence Government of India

Wellness India 2017 expo’s focus on health, alternative medicines, natural lifestyles, yoga, biotech and organic is significant as it concerns all sections of society.

Kalraj MishraUnion Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Government of India

Good health is a personal and individual goal, but the broader effect of a nation’s health on its social and economic well-being should not be underestimated. Thank you very much for organising this interesting and useful expo.

Dr. Harsh VardhanUnion Minister of Science and TechnologyGovernment of India

Visitor Speak

Wellness India 2017 expo was very informative and eye opening. The conference

schedule was packed with industry experts talking on subjects of relevance and practical

application. All the exhibits were top class. I plan to come back again next year.

Rajat Karan Khullar, Creative director, roundGlass

Top-class parallel conferences and workshops distinguished Wellness India 2017 expo as a strong platform for the transfer of knowledge and further education. The welcome address of the pace-setting conference was delivered by Shri J Guna Sekhran, General Manager, ITPO, followed by Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Special Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, who was the Guest of Honour. During the inaugural address, Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, who was also the Chief Guest, congratulated the organisers for complementing the efforts of the government in addressing issues of health and wellness. Delegates interacted with others who work in the same field, live the same day-to-day challenges, and have similar experiences. Both the visitors and exhibitors made great use of these conference sessions and workshops that ran concurrently with the expo by participating in them.

• Provide a forum in which cutting edge research related to recent developments in organics, health and biotechnology are presented and discussed;

• Present an updated and realistic vision of the market situation and tendencies;

• Develop and facilitate interdisciplinary interactions leading to collaborations.

Innovative Workshops The wellness workshops were designed to improve self-care and decrease the effects of stress and anxiety through general wellness and nutrition, self-compassion, relaxation and mindfulness. Yoga, nutrition counselling and healthy eating workshops accompanied by exciting and interactive cooking demonstrations enabled participants to make the best choices that reduce their risk of chronic disease, and promote overall health. The hands-on workshops were conducted by eminent experts from various fields.
