REGISTRATION INFORMATION

CMH Nationally recognized as WI School of Character A team of state evaluators found that CMH has implemented the 11 Principles in an exem-plary fashion. The Wisconsin School of Character designation is not easy to achieve. We are one of sixteen high school in the U.S to receive this award and 1 of only 2 in Wisconsin to receive this award. Our summer camps will cultivate creativity, develop skills and sensitivity, and enrich the soul. We provide a wide variety of opportunities for students in grades 1 - 12.

Boys’ Volleyball For boys entering grades 5 - 9 The 2016 State Champion Catholic Memorial Men’s Volleyball Program is hosting volleyball camps for boys who are looking to stay active during the summer, and learn about the sport. The camps are designed for all levels of play, and there is no regard to high school affiliation (you don’t need to be attending CMH in order to sign up). We will cover a variety of skills including passing, setting, serving, hitting, and de-fense. Camp participants will learn to utilize teamwork along with these skills while participating in drills and actual games. There will be two sessions to pick from based on the grade the student is entering. Boys entering grades 5-8 will attend the first session, and will be split into groups for grades 5-6 and 7-8. Boys entering their freshmen year will attend the second session, and will be using the higher net (used at the high school lev-el). Athletic attire including gym shoes is expected. Campers will receive a t-shirt upon completion of the camp. T-shirt sizes available: YL, AS, AM, AL, AXL. July 17th - July 20th

Girls’ Volleyball

“THREE PEAT” STATE CHAMPS VOLLEYBALL CAMPS

For students entering grades 4 – 9

THREE PEAT STATE CHAMPS VOLLEYBALL CAMPS are designed to meet the needs of the next gen-eration of Volleyball players. With sessions targeted for beginners, who work on fundamentals, through experienced incoming freshmen, who are exposed to more advanced technical and tactical instruction, Crusader camps provide a challenging environment for campers of all skill levels. Campers must provide their own water bottle and knee pads. Camp T-shirt included. Sizes: YL, YXL. AS, AM, AL, and AXL. Freshmen camp is structured as a BYO Lunch. As camps go – these are a GREAT Value! July 24th – July 27th Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday Session 1: Fundamentals Camp Designed for players just learning the game and who want to develop their core skills. (Typically 4th and 5th graders.) 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Fee: $75 per student per session Session 2: Setters Camp Campers will receive expert training in setting, with an emphasis on technique. Campers should have at least one year of experience. They will be grouped according to skill level. 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Fee: $50 per student per session Session 3: Performance Camp This camp is designed for the developing player who has a good basic skills and wants to continue to im-prove. (Typically 6th and 7th graders.) 1:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Fee: $75 per student per session Session 4: Challenge Camp This is a high intensity “NO EXCUSES” camp designed for HIGHLY MOTIVATED athletes who will be entering 7th or 8th grade. 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Fee $90 per student per session Session 5: Freshman Camp Campers, regardless of school affiliation, will be exposed to the demands of High School volleyball. 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Fee $150 per student per session CMH InPro and Julia Weber Gyms Coaches: Ted Schulte and Sam Derynda - joined by other knowledgeable coaches and some of the best high school and collegiate players from the area.

Champion Soccer School

For students entering grades 1 - 9

Coach Burke (USSF-B National Licensed Coach and 2-time NSCAA National Coach of the Year) and his

staff will introduce each player to the tactical and technical systems that have produced twelve state champi-

onships (including the last five-in-a-row), six top-twenty finishes in the NSCAA national polls, and a

NSCAA national championship. More importantly, players will learn about the sportsmanship and dedica-

tion that have become the hallmarks of CMH’s varsity team, which has earned seventeen consecutive Aca-

demic All-American Team awards, six WIAA sportsmanship awards, and the Classic 8 Conference Sports-

manship Award. All players at the camp will receive a personal, one-on-one evaluation from their coach and

an award at the end of the camp on Friday. In addition to more than 15 coaches who have won state cham-

pionships, joining the staff this year will be Joe Luedke, the Wisconsin Lutheran College Head Men’s

Coach. In addition, back for another year will be Joe Fricano, Catholic Memorial Assistant Girls’ and

Boys’ Coach.

Boys’ Summer Strength Training For students entering grades 7 -12

The objective of summer strength training is to help athletes achieve their goal of excelling at their sport(s) of choice. We believe that an athlete’s physical preparedness enhances his or her mental image which equates to improvement in their athletic performance. The keys to an athlete’s success go beyond the prac-tice and drills they do for a single sport. It takes a depth of skills and abilities to bring an athlete from aver-age to exceptional. Only by improving all parts of the physical system will an athlete reach the next level of success. Through our Summer Strength Program you will see increased mobility, increased strength, increased speed, enhanced cardio-vascular health, improved self-confidence, positive self-image and work ethic that remains with you for life. Players must wear gym shoes and gym clothing. Highly recommended for all girls interested in competing in athletics at CMH. Summer Running Camp For students entering grades 8th - 12th We would like to welcome you to join us for a Cross Country Camp at Catholic Memorial this summer! We will meet at Minooka Park in Waukesha near the main entrance by the lagoon. This camp runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 20th through August 3rd from 8:00 a. m. to 9:15 a.m. The camp is accommodating to summer vacations and summer jobs as well. This camp is a great opportunity for incoming freshman new to CMH, or to veteran Cross Country and Track runners. Even if you are not particularly interested in running Cross Country your freshman year, we promise this camp will prepare you to be in top physical condition for any sport. The camp will help to get you in shape for the fall Cross Country season and make your season as successful as it can be. We can also guarantee that you will make new friends and have a lot of fun! This camp combines boys and girls together as the teams are now combined. This camp will be led by Head Cross Country Coach Bill Affeldt as well as Assistant Coach Carly Brunclik. June 20th - August 3rd

Girls Basketball For students entering grades 5th – 9th

The camp will focus on the fundamentals: shooting and scoring, footwork, dribbling, ball handling, pass-ing, rebounding, post moves and defense. While we will work hard, fun is the name of the game. Daily contests and games will provide a great opportunity to develop skills in a fun, competitive setting, and a wonderful time meeting new friends. Camp t-shirt included in fee. Crusader Shooting Camp For Students entering grades 5th - 12th

This camp breaks down your shot from top to bottom. We take an individualized approach when working with the player on how to shoot the basketball. Each day camp will start with a brief introduction on a different part on how to shoot the basketball and then the player will do a 200-250 shot workout. During camp the player will have their shot filmed and a coach will work 1-on-1 with the player on what adjusted are needed. Players will also get to use a shooting strap. The player will leave the camp knowing and understanding what it takes to be a great shooter. Every player will get a camp shirt and shooting workout packet. T-shirt size available AS, AM, AL, AXL. We are putting the FUN back into FUNdamentals. The program is designed to assist each player in improving his individual skills of ball handling, passing, shooting, rebounding, defense, proper foot-work, and development of basketball IQ. Bill Young’s Catholic Memorial Youth Football Camp

For students entering grades 3 –8

The camp will focus on the skill development of Youth foot-ball players. It will also focus on teaching the defensive and offensive techniques used at the varsity level here at CMH. Each player will have the opportunity to work with the varsi-ty coaching staff and varsity players throughout the camp. Each camper will receive a Crusader Football T-shirt. Size choices will be AS, AM, Al, and AXL.

In his 39 seasons as Head Football Coach at Catholic Memo-rial, Bill Young has had 35 winning seasons, compiling an impressive record of 325-112 and nearing the top of the "All Time Winningest Coach" list in Wisconsin State Football history. A member of the Wisconsin Football Coaches Hall of Fame as well as the Catholic Memorial Athletic Hall of Fame, Bill Young has led the Crusaders to 35 playoff berths, coached in 14 state title games. Including a 2016 State Championship and undefeated season. To be in the hunt of a Classic 8 Conference Championship and WIAA State Title each year, Coach Young relies on one of the most experienced football staffs that one could assemble, which together, compiles of over 130 years of on-field coaching experience.

Learn to Fence For students entering 4th grade - Adult Have you ever wanted to be one of the three musketeers or a Jedi Knight? Then learn to fence! Enroll in this fencing class to learn to compete as an athlete. No experience needed. Most of the boys and girls in the class have never fenced before. Experience one on one competition while still being a member of the team. You will develop hand, foot, and eye coordination. Individuals who have experience in other sports such as tennis, soccer, and the martial arts will find that their skills transfer well to fencing. You will be surprised at how much you can learn during this six lesson program that concludes with a com-petition awarding medals. All equipment and competition jackets and masks are provided. Participants only need to dress comfortably and to wear athletic shoes. This course is taught by Coach Mike Sampon, an experienced coach of the some of Midwest's hottest high school teams. This class is open to all boys and girls in grades four through adult. Parents have often found this class to be a good fitness workout to share with their sons or daughters. Middle School Tennis Drills

For student athletes entering grades 6th - 8th

Join us for tennis drills, skills development, competition, and fun with coaches and varsity players from the Catholic Memorial tennis program. Players of all skill levels are welcome! We will have opportuni-ties available for beginners, intermediate and tournament players. Players should bring their own racquet and water bottle. Camp Create

For students entering grades 3 - 8

Students will be introduced to a variety of art media and techniques through this series of hands-on art studio op-portunities. Techniques and media may include, but are not limited to, mixed-media collage, assemblage, sculp-ture, wearable art, altered book, artist trading cards, draw-ing, design, painting, printmaking and oil pastels. Each week students will view artwork options, hear about dif-ferent themes and see demonstrations in many areas and then will choose the area they wish to explore. Students may complete one major, focused work of art using one technique or medium; multiple artworks in one discipline, or may choose to work their way around the art studio to have many different art experiences. Students may sign up for one or two weeks of art camp. Students may combine sessions for an extended art studio experience. New experiences each week! To showcase students' achievements, there will be a celebratory exhibit at noon of the final class day. Details provided on the day of the first class.

Class size is limited to 12 students per session in order to provide individualized support.

Creative Journaling -- Writer, Artist -- Both, Oh My! Tapping into kids' inner passions through writing and visual arts For students entering grades 3 - 8

Celebrate the fusion of writing and art with Creative Journaling. Students will be exposed to various forms of writing, inspiring them to find their own voice as writers. Daily writing activities will focus on reflection and self-expression.

Students will illustrate their writing through creative expression using a variety of techniques which may include drawing, design, painting, printmaking, oil pastels, collage and mixed-media. Jan and Rose will serve as coach/mentors, encouraging self-directed, learner-centered discovery and achievement, as stu-dents practice and develop their skills as writers and artists.

To showcase students' achievements, there will be a celebratory exhibit at noon of the final class day. Details provided on the day of the first class.

Class size is limited to 12 students per session in order to provide individualized support.

Drama 1 For students entering grades 1 - 6 The beginning elements of acting will be developed in-cluding: dynamic action and rhythmic beat, improvisa-tion, discovering/projecting basic relationships, charac-terization, vocal/visual gesture, rhythm and melody. Act-ing games will be used to ensure a fun, enjoyable and educationally rewarding experience. Each of the acting camps develops skills that lead to the next camp. In each camp, young actors and actresses will be exposed to more elements necessary to become a strong method ac-tor. It is strongly recommended that each student take each of the camps in order so that they are exposed to all the skills necessary in the craft of acting. Although the camps are sequential, there is a review of previous mate-rial at the beginning of each camp so that it is possible for a student new to our program to begin at whatever level they enter at. So don’t miss the fun and join us for a great summer of Theater! Join the most prestigious high school acting company in the state of Wisconsin, winners of 53 Out-standing Acting, 16 Outstanding Directing, 16 Outstanding Ensemble, and 16 Critics Choice awards over the last 16 years. Learn the craft of acting from Chris Andacht, winner of the “Outstanding Director-State Theatre Festival” award in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016! The beginning elements of acting will be developed including: dynamic action and rhythmic beat, improvisation, discovering/projecting basic relationships, characterization, vocal/visual gesture, rhythm and melody. Acting games and activities will be used to ensure a fun, enjoyable and educa-tionally rewarding experience. Each of the acting camps develops skills that lead to the next camp. In each camp, young actors and actresses will be exposed to more elements necessary to become a strong method actor. Students in the high school camps will be exposed to the Meisner approach to acting, which is the basis of all of the success the program has experienced in the past 11 years and provides a solid foundation for a successful continuation into the college or professional world. It is strongly recommended that each student take each of the camps in order so that they are exposed to all the skills necessary in the craft of acting. For students entering grade s 9 - 12

Join the most prestigious high school acting company in the state of Wisconsin, winners of 50 Outstanding Acting, Directing, Ensemble, and Critics Choice awards over the last 16 years. Learn the craft of acting from Chris Andacht, winner of the “Outstanding Director-State Theatre Festival” award in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016! The beginning elements of acting will be developed including: dynamic action and rhythmic beat, improvisation, discovering/projecting basic relationships, characterization, vocal/visual gesture, rhythm and melody. Acting games and activities will be used to ensure a fun, enjoyable and educationally rewarding experience. Each of the acting camps develops skills that lead to the next camp. In each camp, young actors and actresses will be exposed to more elements necessary to become a strong method actor. Students in the high school camps will be exposed to the Meisner approach to acting, which is the basis of all of the success the program has experi-enced in the past 16 years and provides a solid foundation for a successful continuation into the college or professional world. It is strongly recommended that each student take each of the camps in order so that they are exposed to all the skills necessary in the craft of acting. In order to audition and become a member of our fall pro-duction students must have taken either Drama 3 or Drama 4, as the state theater festival demands of every actor the elements that are taught in the camp. Practice Days take place for up to 9 weeks on Wednesday or Thursday mornings beginning on June 14th and last for two hours. Full Summer Package $270 9 practice days, 4 golf days and Junior Championship. Half Summer Package $215 6 practice days, 3 golf days and Junior Championship Basic Package $145 4 practice days and 2 golf days These students play in a 9 hole golf league each Thursday morning starting June 15th for up to 9 weeks. Students also participate in individual golf lessons with a golf pro-fessional throughout the summer. These lessons are scheduled individually. Boys and Girls Flag Rugby For students entering 1st - 9th grades Campers will learn passing, teamwork, and defense, in addition to rugby’s tradition of respect for your-self, your opponent, and the game, all building up to playing flag rugby games. Students should wear athletic clothes and need to bring a water bottle and soccer or football cleats. Incoming freshmen are encouraged to attend. The camp is offered through a joint effort between the Waukesha County Parks Dept., Catholic Memorial Girls Rugby, and Waukesha Tag Rugby Flag Rugby Summer Tournaments Include: 6/17 Ozaukee , 7/1 Lakefront, 7/8 Fond du Lac, 7/22 Menomonee Falls, and 7/29 Appleton (optional)
