The AtriumThe Atrium is a stylish option for wedding receptions, offering a spectacular setting for a memorable evening surrounded by some of the finest pieces from the Ulster Museum’s natural collection. Its white colour palette is a blank canvas on which you can make your mark and create your dream day.
The wedding party will have exclusive use of the museum after 5pm, however guests can arrive earlier and be hosted in the Belfast Room with a drinks reception, alternatively they can explore the museum’s surroundings before the ceremony begins. The Ulster Museum is ideal for your wedding photography and wedding photography in Botanic Gardens can be approved by Belfast City Council Parks Department. After dinner the Atrium offers a natural stage for your entertainment with plenty of space for dancing and mingling. Only one wedding a day takes place at the museum ensuring you and your guests will have our undivided attention throughout. The interiors are luxurious, stylish, well-crafted, practical, flexible, and are fully equipped with everything you require for a modern wedding day. Capacity of The Atrium is 150 for your wedding reception.
• Hire of the Atrium is £2900.00.
• Hire of the Belfast Room for the ceremony and the Atrium for the reception is £3300.00.
• A deposit of £500.00 is required to secure your preferred date.
• The balance is required 10 weeks before the wedding. The Atrium will occasionally have an exhibition on display and the events team can advise on the exhibition programme on request. Whilst venue hire and catering is priced and invoiced separately we can estimate an average of £75-£95 per guest based on 100 guests for both venue hire and catering.

The Belfast RoomThe lovingly restored Belfast Room brings some tradition to an ultramodern venue. This beautiful space can be tailored to host a variety of aspects of your day including the ceremony, drinks reception, an intimate gathering and even the wedding feast.
With its own private entrance hall, the bride can arrive in style before walking up the aisle. The couple should privately arrange for a properly authorised priest, minister or Belfast City Council registrar to conduct the service. The Ulster Museum Operations Manager will supply the AP1 form as required. Floral and other decorations can be organised privately and can be set up on the morning of the wedding. You are also welcome to have a rehearsal before the wedding day. Maximum capacity of this room is estimated at 100 guests for the ceremony or 60 guests for your reception. Hire of Belfast Room for your wedding ceremony is £700.00 and a deposit of £100.00 is required to secure the date. Hire of the Belfast Room for your wedding reception is £1200.00 and a deposit of £200.00 is required to secure your preferred date. The balance is required 10 weeks before the wedding. The Belfast Room will often have an exhibition on display and the events team can advise on the exhibition programme on request.
CateringThe Ulster Museum catering team will endeavour to meet your every requirement, from magnificent table settings to exclusive wedding gourmet selections.
