High Quality TeachingDaily, nurses face complex situations where knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are

required for safe patient care. Thus, nurse faculties are challenged to prepare competent graduates to meet

the ever-changing and complex demands of the contemporary health care system. Specifically, over the last

decade, there has been a shifting paradigm in nursing education from a teacher-centered to a learner-

centered classroom environment, prompting educators, clinicians, and health care employers to pose many

questions about effective teaching strategies. How can educators facilitate critical thinking, clinical decision

making, and instill values of lifelong learning? What are the key elements of an effective nurse educator?

Teaching in Nursing for nursing students the faculties serves as guide to respond to these questions and help

nurse educators facilitate student learning goals.

Well trained facultyNurses are health care professionals with direct responsibility for patient care. Nurses work in hospitals, clinics, long-term care

facilities, schools, corporations, and many other settings. In hospitals, nurses provide care under a treatment plan prescribed by

doctors, but often have considerable responsibility for managing the details of the patient's daily care. In other settings, nurses may

be the first health care professional seen by a patient, and may be responsible for recommending treatment in conjunction with the

doctor. Nurses combine medical expertise with strong interpersonal skills and a desire to help people.

To become a nurse, high school courses in math and science are required. Nurse training programs are offered at hospitals, junior

colleges, community colleges, and four-year colleges. The degree of training offered by each differs, as does the advancement

possible as a result. Following graduation from the training program, the student must pass a state licensure exam to become a

registered nurse (RN), and is then able to work as a nurse. Further education allows the RN to obtain a master's degree in nursing. This

is required to become a nurse practitioner (a nurse who performs many of the same functions as a family-practice doctor), a nurse-

midwife (provides care to maternity patients), or several other nursing specialties.

Library & Information

HostelHostel Rules And Regulations Consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited. Usage of drugs or any one found

dealing or abusing the use of drugs is liable for enquiry and final termination both

from the School/ College and hostel. Ragging of any sort of co-students are strictly

prohibited and punishable as per Anti-Ragging Act-of 1980 and is a non-bailable

offence. The original documents of the candidates found including in ragging shall

be endorsed for further act, which will prevent them from further studies any where

in the world. Students residing in the hostel are directed to follow the timings and

rules and regulations. Keep the hostel premises neat and clean.

Conduct and Discipline

a. Students are required to maintain ethical and professional standard and behavior.

b. Students should make every effort to make care of the School/ College, Hostel and Hospital property.

c. Students are required to follow the Rules and Regulations laid by the Hospital, Hostel and School /College Authorities.

d. The Authority has all the rights to dismiss or suspend any students, whose behavior and conduct is not found satisfactory in and outside the College/ School campus.

Separate secure hostels are available for boys and girls. National School &

College of Nursing issues from time to time norms and standards for students

behavior, violation of which, is severely punished according to the laid down

guidelines. All the hostels are provided with round the clock security.

Mess facility is available in hostel. A modern healthy food system supervised

by experienced catering persons for the need and taste of students are

arranged.

Attendance, Progress and conduct:

Each students must have a certificate of satisfactory attendance, progress and conduct issued by the principal to be eligible for appearing the examination.

A minimum of 85% attendance is required in theory and practical separately in each subject as per government rules.

Attendance of 10% may be condoned by the Vice-Chancellor on the recommendation of the principal based on genuinity of the case.
