1 Elizabethtown has won a third of the matchups with tonight’s non-conference opponent, Marymount (Va.), going 3-6 all-time against the Saints. The Blue Jays traveled to Arlington, Va. in 2015 and fell, 62-42, in the most recent game between the two sides.

2 Down as many as nine in the first half at Marywood on Saturday, Lydia Lawson and Roni Isenberg helped pace a comeback that started around the middle of the second quarter. The Jays used that late second quarter momentum and rode it into the third as they outscored the hosts 19-12 to increase a four-point halftime lead to 11 by the end of the third.

As a team, Elizabethtown shot a season-best .460 from the floor and .889 from the free throw line. The Blue Jays also had a season-high 19 assists and season-low 8 turnovers. Lawson posted a season-high 22 points and 8 field goals and tied her career-high with 7 steals. Isenberg was dominant at the forward spot, hitting on 9-of-13 shots, good for a season-best 18 points. Marissa Emlet kept up her rebounding effort on the glass with another 8 rebounds. Veronica Christ added 13 points and Mikayla Ruth scored 12 in the 73-59 win.

3 Marymount (Va.) opened the season at No. 16 in the D3hoops.com preseason rankings. After win-ning the opening game of their own Pablo Coto Tip-Off Tournament, the Saints fell behind early to Vassar before flipping the script and outscoring the Brewers 17-6 in the second quarter. Vassar was able to hold off Marymount for the tournament crown, but freshman Katie McShea was named to the all-tournament team and posted 19 points and 11 rebounds for her first career double-double in the loss.

The Saints began the year with six of the their first seven games at home and have gone 5-2 in those games. On the road, MM is 3-1 with wins at Hood, Neumann (conference), and Mary Washington.

4 This evening’s game is the second in a back-to-back for the visitors. Marymount hosted Gallaudet in a non-conference game yesterday. The Saints defeated the Bisons 77-60 behind Regan Lohr’s game-high 24 points (6-12 3PT). McShea had 15 and 11, Tyffani McQueen and Gabriella Haddad each added 13.

5 The Blue Jays are off for the remainder of 2018 and return on Jan. 2, 2019 against Coast Guard at home for a 1 p.m.
