As the names suggest, both games originated in Scotland and are played as follows: Scottish Carpet Bowling played on low felt covered table 3’ wide and 24’ long using -5128 Set of (3 ¾”) non-biased, unmounted Carpet Bowls, consisting of 8 Black and 8 Brown Bowls.5127 (3 ¾”) non-biased Carpet Bowls, either Black or Brown with mounts as required.Scottish Short Mat Bowling played on a carpet 12’ wide (minimum 9’) using No. 5 bias bowls, manufactured to special order from our Lignoid Range.

BIASED CARPET BOWLING

Requires a carpet 6’ wide and only 30’ long, using 37/8” diameter bowls. Biased Carpet Bowls. Each set consists of 4 pairs of Black and 4 pairs of Brown bowls with a White jack. Each pair of bowls is distinguished by coloured scores of Red, Blue, Green and White.
