At Downpatrick, we want to ensure your raceday experience exceeds your expectations. We want you to have such a good time that you will come back again. And again.

From the moment you arrive at our turnstiles, you will notice just how much we care about our customers. Our warm welcome is extended throughout the premises. With ten racedays from March to October, you will certainly find a raceday to suit you.

Racing first took place in Downpatrick in 1685 and for almost 350 years we have been constantly improving. Great racing, modern facilities, themed racedays, and our unique friendly atmosphere make a day at Downpatrick a day to remember.

We enjoyed a great season in 2017, increasing our attendances by almost 20% and attracting a significant number of new race sponsors.

Visit our two-day meeting on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th June, when we will be the central attraction of the four-day County-wide ‘Down Time Festival’ - a celebration of

racing, music, culture, and sport. This is a great opportunity to spend a night in the area and enjoy County Down’s famous hospitality. Both days’ racing will feature

exciting action on the track and lucrative style competitions. We offer over £10,000 of fashion prizes across the season, so it is certainly worth making the effort. Ladies Day is on Bank Holiday Monday, 27th August 2018.

Our hugely popular Family Day takes place this year on Friday 13th July. With more than 20 different activities for children and plenty to keep the adults entertained, this is not to be missed.
