Audition Instructions

Auditions are due Friday, November 3.

Upload audition files to your school’s Google Drive folder. (Link shared via e-mail). Please make one file per student. No talking on the audition recording.

Recording contents:

Woodwinds/Brass/Mallets: Chromatic Scale starting on Bb Concert - at least 1 octave, more if possible Ab Major Scale - 1 octave at quarter note=90 Watkins-Farnum Performance Scale Form A #9

Snare Drum: Paradiddle-diddle (open-closed-open) Flam Accent (open-closed-open) Watkins-Farnum Performance Scale Form A #9

Timpani: 9-10 EHC Timpani Etude 11-12 EHC Timpani Etude

Please name the files like this: Maynard Ferguson - Trumpet - Oakland-Craig. I will re-name them before I share a folder link to the judges.

Please listen to the auditions before uploading to make sure everything was recorded. I suggest making the recordings in the .mp3 format since it’s pretty universal.
