2018 HSPAC Leadership Profile

Executive Committee

HSPAC Term: Ex-Officio, Non-Voting Member Email: [email protected] OPDIV/Agency: ASPR/Div. of Fusion/GIS Branch Position Title: Senior Program Manager/GIS Analyst Time in PHS: 12 Years Why did you decide to take on a Leadership Role in the HSPAC and what are your priorities for the HSPAC in 2018? I took on a leadership role in the HSPAC to continue to serve the needs of my fellow HSOs. As the 2018 HSPAC Chair, I am honored and look forward to this incredible opportunity. My primary focus will be to work with the CPO and the 2018 HSPAC Leadership (both in the Subcommittees and PAGs) to build on the previous efforts and successes of the HSPAC. I want to ensure that our HSPAC continues to grow and adapt to meet the current and future needs of our HSOs. It is critical that we put our number one stakeholders, our HSOs, at the center of everything we do. As such I came up with the following theme to help frame our 2018 priorities: 2018 HSPAC Theme: Prioritizing and developing our multidiscipli-nary cadre of Health Service Officers. In 2018, we will prioritize HSPAC activities and initiatives that focus on supporting the growth and development of all 1,226 HSOs throughout their Commissioned Corps careers. Our priorities will include:

Modernizing and advancing HSPAC processes to minimize redun-dancies and increase efficiencies

Proactive engagement of our HSOs throughout USPHS Careers

Comprehensive, purpose-driven communications plan Through these efforts, we will continue to show the Value of the HSPAC. I strongly believe that advancing and developing our offic-ers will lead to a stronger HS Category and thus Commissioned Corps.
