New Events in 2018

Men’s Golf League WHEN: 1st Half—Every Thursday Starting May 31st and ending July 5th Break—Week of Member Guest (July 12th) 2nd Half—Every Thursday Starting July 19th and ending August 23rd Postseason Following After Regular Season (August 30th)

FORMAT: Net Best Ball League Play. Teams are split into divisions and then play weekly matches. 2-man teams per week. Max 6 players on a team.

USGA rules will govern all play. SIGN-UP: Call the pro shop or email Cam for more information on signing up.

Season Long Match Play WHEN: Match Play Brackets posted June 1st

FORMAT: Flighted match play brackets according to USGA rules. Handicap based flighting system along with age requirements. Each flight will play from a different set of tees.

Junior Academy WHEN: Spring Trimester—March 26th to May 27th (Week off April 9th) Summer Trimester—June 4th to July 29th Fall Trimester—August 6th to September 30th

New Events in 2018 July 4th Flag Day Event WHEN: July 4th

FORMAT: Celebrate this 4th of July by seeing how far you can make it around the course based on your handicap! Stroke play. Your handicap plus 72. Once you hit your score allotment on the course, you place a flag in the ground with your name and score. Whoever makes it the farthest wins!

Junior Club Championship WHEN: Saturday, June 23rd

FORMAT: Who is the best player 18 and under? Tournament Stroke Play. SIGN-UP: Call the pro shop or email Cam for more information on signing up.

Pick-a-Partners WHEN: All 4 Majors and The Players

FORMAT: Pick 4 pros who make the cut for the weekend and see how your team scores. If you play on Saturday or Sunday, you can substitute your net score for a pros if it improves your team.

ENTRY FEE: $10 per person SIGN-UP: Sign up the morning of by calling the pro shop or by emailing Cam.

2018 Opening Day Scramble

FORMAT: 4 Person Scramble USGA Rules will govern all play except the 14 club rule is in effect

ENTRY FEE: $25 per player

TEES: White Tee.

SIGN-UP: A sign-up sheet will be posted on the Men’s Events Board prior to the event

SCHEDULE: March 31st at 12:00pm (Shotgun)

PRIZES: Pro Shop credit will be awarded, according to the number of participants

2018 Spring Member-Member

FORMAT: Quota Stableford USGA Rules will govern all play except the 14 club rule is in effect

ENTRY FEE: $100 per team

TEES: Blue. Please notify the pro shop what tee you plan to move up to and note that the

player’s handicap will be adjusted per Rule: 9-3C.


SCHEDULE: April 14th at 11:00am (Tee Times)




TIES: Ties will be broken by the USGA Scorecard Playoff.

2018 Kentucky Oaks Shootout

FORMAT: Flighted and Play Until Eliminated USGA Rules will govern all play except the 14 club rule is in effect





SCHEDULE: May 4th after the Running of the Oaks




TIES: Ties will be broken by the previous hole being played again

2018 Super’s Revenge Scramble

FORMAT: 4 man Scramble against the wrath of the Superintendent USGA Rules will govern all play except the 14 club rule is NOT in effect

2018 Men’s Golf League

FORMAT: Better Ball Match Play USGA Rules will govern all play

ENTRY FEE: $20 per team/week. ($10 per person/week) If a team or player is a no show then the entry fee will be split up amongst team.

TEES: Blue/White. Please notify the pro shop what tee you plan to move up to and note that the


SIGN-UP: A sign-up sheet will be posted on the Men’s Events Board prior to the event TEAM INFO: No maximum on number of players per team. Minimum of 2 players per team. Set lineup before Thursday.

SCHEDULE: Season long with a break on member guest week. Starts May 31st at 5:30pm. 12 weeks long.

PRIZES: Weekly skins game with carryovers to the next week. Pro shop credit and cash will be paid out to teams after the season.

TIES: Ties will count as 1 point for each team

2018 Match Play

FORMAT: Season long Flighted Match Play USGA Rules will govern all play

ENTRY FEE: $25 per player per bracket (A player is allowed to enter multiple brackets if they meet the

requirements)

TEES: Black for Championship (All Players) Blue for 1st Flight (All Players) White for 2nd Flight (Ages 55+)


SCHEDULE: Brackets will be posted on June 1st

PRIZES: Pro Shop credit and cash will be paid out to winners



TIES: Ties will go into sudden death playoff holes

CGA at Boone’s Trace

WHAT IS IT?: An academy for all skill levels and ages

HOW MUCH? There are 4 packages based on offerings and time. Every player can benefit from the most basic package.

TEES: Every player regardless of skill level starts out 25 yards off the green, plays 9 holes and tries

to beat the target score of 36. Once accomplished that player will move back to 50 yards.

SIGN-UP: More information on signing up will be available in the pro shop and by contacting Cam at [email protected]

SCHEDULE: Spring Trimester—March 26th to May 27th (Week off April 9th) Summer Trimester—June 4th to July 29th Fall Trimester—August 6th to September 30th

PRIZES: End of the year parties will allow each junior student to spend their skill point chips that t hey will earn on a prize table. Adults will see a dramatic improvement in their game.

2018 July 4th Flag Day

FORMAT: Stroke Play. Players will add their handicap from the tees they wish to play to 72. The

player will then see how far around the golf course they can get with their allotted strokes. The player who advances the farthest wins!

FORMAT: Tournament Individual Stroke Play USGA Rules will govern all play

ENTRY FEE: $20 for ages 13+

TEES: Under 10 years old (150 yards out) - 9 Holes 10-12 (Green Tees) - 9 holes 13-15 (Green Tees) - 18 Holes 16-18 (White Tees) - 18 Holes Championship (Blue Tees) - 18 Holes

SIGN-UP: A sign-up sheet will be posted on the Men’s and Women’s Events Board prior to the event

2018 Tee It Forward Championship

FORMAT: Tournament Individual Stroke Play USGA Rules will govern all play

ENTRY FEE: $25 per player per bracket

TEES: Blue. Move up a set of tees, get your handicap adjusted and see if your score improves!

Pick 4 Pros who have made it to the weekend to be on your team. Their Saturday and

Sunday scores will count toward your team total. There will be 8 scores all together. The

team with the lowest total wins! You can pick your 4 Pros and be done; or…

You have the opportunity to replace one, or possibly two, of those scores by playing a

round of golf on Saturday and Sunday. Your Net Score (using 100% of your USGA

handicap) can help your team. The best 8 out of a possible 10 scores wins!
