150 years of inspiring lives

As we reflect on 2018, our 150th Anniversary, there is much to celebrate.

Episcopal SeniorLife Communities continues to be an inspirational leader in

senior health and wellness. Our communities and neighborhood programs

are thriving. Staff members are some of the best in the field who support

and inspire each other every day. And we are well poised for future growth

in order to meet the ever-growing needs of this community.

The year-long sesquicentennial recognition served as a platform to celebrate

ESLC’s history, communicate future plans, engage residents and their

families, further cultivate relationships and partnerships, recognize staff,

and express gratitude to those who have supported the organization along

the way. We extend sincere appreciation to you – our leaders, corporate

partners, donors, volunteers, staff, residents and family members – who

have supported our good work over the years, especially last year. Your

unwavering confidence in all that we do is paramount as we move forward.

Looking ahead to 2019, there is much excitement with many opportunities

on the horizon. We are expanding our mission into Penfield as we break

ground on a new assisted living and special needs, and affordable housing

community in partnership with Home Leasing, Inc. We also will expand

in Geneseo as we take ownership of Upper South, an affordable housing

community currently owned by St. Michael’s Episcopal Church. Further

work on the strategic plan to right-size the Episcopal Church Home will

take place, and there will be expansion of neighborhood-based services

and programs that incorporates wellness programing, care coordination

and services, and new housing in Irondequoit. Throughout this growth,

we will remain committed to individual, quality care while expanding

options for the community, and will stay steadfast to our Christian

heritage and mission of service as a faith-based, nonprofit

organization – the foundation on which we were founded.
