Brian Mohr – Co-Founder & President, Y Scouts

Brian's most important and cherished responsibilities are being the lucky father to his 2 daughters, Taylor and Riley, and the proud husband to his wife, Jackie. Brian's career-to-date has been a learning-based journey with an intense focus on people, purpose, values, culture, leadership, and capitalism as a force for good. Brian was a founding member of Jobing.com, one of the original online job boards, which he helped grow to over 350 employees and $38M in revenue. He later became director of talent acquisition for P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and Pei Wei Asian Diner restaurants before joining forces with his co-founder, Max Hansen, to create the first purpose-based leadership search firm, Y Scouts, in 2012. Brian believes the most important currency in today's workforce is a deep sense of purpose and meaning, not just a paycheck.

Brian is on the Global Board of Trustees of Conscious Capitalism, Inc., hosts the podcast, Built on Purpose, and is anticipating the launch of his first book, which he co-authored with Max, "Hiring on Purpose - How the Y Scouts Method is Revolutionizing the Search for Leaders". In his spare time, you'll find Brian practicing guitar and enjoying an occasional game of Texas Hold 'Em Poker.

Nancy Lyons - Founder & CEO, Clockwork

Nancy Lyons is a CEO, entrepreneur, and all around good human who speaks about the intersection of leadership, entrepreneurialism, technology, and people. Through her candid writing and speaking, she explores the many facets of life at work and champions human-centered approaches to business. Seeing work and the culture of work as the next economic frontier, she pushes the progressive boundaries of how we think about professional and personal lives.

Nancy has been locally and nationally recognized for her role as owner and CEO of Clockwork. She is co-author of “Interactive Project Management: Pixels, People, and Process” (New Riders, 2012) and author of the upcoming book, “How to Win at Business by Being Nice to Humans.”

Jillian Gonzales, MA – President & CEO, J. Gonzales Consulting Jillian J. Gonzales, MA is a seasoned organization development professional with a focus on change and transformation. She is highly skilled in coaching, facilitation, intervention, and training.

Ms. Gonzales’s change and transformation skills are rooted in and influenced by Motivational Interviewing, Mediation Skills and Gestalt Organization and Systems Development Intervention methods. These together have served as a foundation for her personal and professional self-discovery. Jillian is a native New Mexican who spent 12 years in the Northeast before returning to her Home town of Placitas, with her husband Brian,

where they are being raised by two daughters and two fur babies.

Karin Lubin, Ed.D. – Director & Master Trainer, Quantum Leap Consulting

Karin Lubin passionately served as an educator, leader and consultant to schools, schools districts, community groups and educational think tanks for more than 20 years. As a K-8 teacher and principal, she helped thousands of young people discover and more fully express their brilliance, passion and creativity. She coaches and mentors entrepreneurs, teachers, administrators, and business leaders to be the best they can be, living and leading from a driving sense of purpose, “an inner fire” and vision. Karin’s research in servant leadership led her to discover the core principles that are fundamental for the creation of high-performing enlightened teams. Through coaching and speaking she helps groups recognize that enlightened and enlivened teamwork accelerates their path to greater success, contribution and purposeful fulfillment. Karin created Quantum Leap Coaching and

Linda Strauss, SHRM-SCP, SPHR- Trainer & HR Consultant, Strauss HR Consulting

Linda Strauss is a Human Resources professional with over 20 years of experience. As a consultant, Ms. Strauss provides services such as leadership development, coaching, and career advisement. Ms. Strauss also provides employers with training, strategic HR programs, and coaching to manage employment issues with comfort, confidence and compliance. In addition, Ms. Strauss delivers soft skills training including interpersonal and communications skills, and emotional intelligence training, designed to enhance success and engagement in work and life.

Ms. Strauss is a Society for HR Management Certified Senior Professional (SHRM-SCP), a Senior Professional of HR (SPHR), and a Certified Mediator of Workplace Conflict. In addition, she is a certified trainer of Becoming the Totally Responsible Person (TRP®), and is certified in Mental Health First Aid. She is an instructor for UNM’s Anderson School of Management where she teaches management and HR classes to working professionals.

Over her corporate career, Ms. Strauss has specialized in every aspect of HR. As a volunteer leader, Ms. Strauss is currently the Director of Awards and Recognition for SHRM NM, and previously served as the Director of Workforce Readiness, and President of the northern NM SHRM chapter.

Mia Kern Lardy- Associate Attorney, Modrall Sperling

Mia Kern Lardy, an associate with Modrall Sperling and an Albuquerque native, focuses her practice on employment law, education law, torts and personal injury, with a substantial amount of her time being spent working with school districts. She was recently tapped to serve on a University of New Mexico School of Law Advisory Committee charged with designing a new program in children’s law. Mia was selected based on the strength of her work at Civitas Child Law Center at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she earned her J.D. with a certificate in child law in 2010. During her tenure with the renowned program, she was a Child Law Fellow and the Editor-in Chief of the Children's Legal Rights Journal. It was during these

years she developed an affinity for helping those with domestic and child abuse issues. Mia also volunteers her legal counsel through Christian Legal Aid. Not surprisingly, her pro bono work involves those with domestic relations and/or child custody, child abuse and neglect, and support issues.

Jon Decoteau, SHRM-SCP – Membership Divisional Director for the West, SHRM

With more than 25 years of HR experience, Jon Decoteau has held leadership roles at several iconic companies including eBay, The Coca-Cola Company, Motorola, Nissan Motor Corporation and General Dynamics. His HR career has taken him around the globe, working onsite with HR teams in 19 countries and on nearly every continent. He is an alumnus of Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in Chicago and The Coca-Cola Company’s Leadership Experience program in Atlanta. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from California State University – Fullerton.

Dr. Richard Pimentel – Senior Partner, Milt Wright & Associates Richard Pimentel is one of the leading experts in North America on practical issues in Disability Inclusion and Diversity issues in the workplace, Disability Employment, Disability Management, Overcoming Barriers, Crises and Change in the Workplace, Disabled Veterans Employment Opportunities, Job Retention, and the Americans with Disabilities Amendment Act.

He is the key author of the highly acclaimed and widely used Windmills program, designed to change the attitudes and behavior of supervisors who hire and promote employees with disabilities. This Internationally acclaimed program is in many of America’s largest and most prestigious government and employer

organizations. He presently is designing Corporate and Government Return to Work programs, Employer Disability Inclusion programs, job recruitment, and retention programs for returning combat wounded soldiers. Richard was the author of SHRM’s ‘Making the ADA Work for You’, ‘What Managers and Supervisors Need to Know About the ADA’, and ‘The Workers Compensation ADA Connection’. He has designed 15 comprehensive Disability Management occupational and non-occupational return to work programs for employers throughout the US and Canada. Richard designed the comprehensive Return to Work program for the City of Farmington which is now being implemented. A full-length MGM motion picture of his life story, “Music Within,” staring Ron Livingston, Melissa George and Michael Sheen was released in theaters throughout the country in the fall 2007 and is now showing on cable channels throughout the world.

Suzanne Kryder, Ph.D. - Leadership Coach and Author

Suzanne Kryder is a neuroleadership trainer and coach who blends leadership development with an understanding of how the mind works. She helps leaders and management teams who are struggling to hold people accountable and get results while displaying integrity and honesty.

Suzanne has trained and coached thousands of people in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to be more effective including at the Department of the Interior, University of Maryland, National Institutes of Health, University of New Mexico, and the Brookings Institution. Her book, The Mind to Lead, explains her

leadership coaching model on being calm, confident, and powerful.

She has a Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico, an M.S. from George Washington University, and a B.S. from the University of Georgia. She graduated from the Corporate Coaching Program, an International Coach Federation-accredited program at Corporate Coach University in 2001.

Max Dubroff, SHRM-SCP, SPHR- HR MAXimizer and HR Business Partner, Sandia National Labs

Max Dubroff has HR experience that includes teaching and consulting, as a business partner and as a director. After 20 years of service he retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel, having served as chief of police and security, anti-terrorism expert, a nuclear security director, an organizational development consultant and an instructor. He was also awarded the Bronze Star by the 101st Airborne Division when deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom.

He has served as a Commissioner on the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission, the Chair of the Central Oklahoma Workforce Investment Board, and has instructed bachelors- and masters-level courses for two universities. His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science and a Master of Public Administration in Human Resources.

Christine Cave, Esquire, SHRM-SCP, SPHR – Director and Attorney, Employer’s Legal Resource Center

Christine Cave is Director and Employment Attorney at Employers Legal Resource Center in Oklahoma City. Her experience includes business ownership, a volunteer on many local and national non-profit boards, lecturing and teaching on business and litigation-related topics, and representing businesses and management in lawsuits. She has served as the Chairperson of the Oklahoma Bar Association Labor & Employment Section.

Launi De Young, SHRM-SCP, SPHR – Owner & Organizational Effectiveness Consulting, OrgWorks

Launi DeYoung has over 20 years’ experience in the Human Resources and Organizational Development fields. Her work with both small entrepreneurial companies as well as large, Fortune 100 companies enables Launi to bring a variety of perspectives and knowledge to every project.

After 14 years with The Boeing Company, Launi started OrgWorks, an organizational effectiveness consulting company, to assist organizations in areas she saw the most opportunity for improvement: leadership development, team dynamics and managerial skills. Her ability to quickly and astutely assess situations and

identify problem areas coupled with a no nonsense, down to earth style provides leaders the honest feedback they need to improve.

Some of her most recent work includes addressing employee engagement and management within the Department of Energy, providing leadership and supervisory training to various divisions within the Department of Interior, creating a leadership development program for a local engineering firm and providing anti-harassment training to various businesses. Launi is also a certified DISC distributor and uses the behavioral assessment as part of individual and team coaching as she believes leadership starts with self.

Launi has a Master of Science in Organizational Development from Pepperdine University and is a SHRM-SCP (senior certified professional). A member of local and national Human Resources organizations, she previously served on the local HR board (HRMANM) as vice president of communications and was president of the Rio Grande Industrial Liaison Group. A native New Mexican, Launi enjoys spending time with her family and their backyard menagerie.

Stacie Mallen, SPHR – Chief People Officer, CampusLogic Being called a Rebel, Troublemaker and Entrepreneur all mean the same thing to Stacie Mallen: You are doing your job if you are pushing your organization toward change, growth and purpose. After spending her 20 year career in a progression of successful start-up companies, as well as leading a large scale team in a Fortune 50 company, she quickly realized that she was not capable of “blending in”. Now specializing in leading Cultural Revolution for high growth companies, she constantly absorbs, writes and speaks about the tangible actions that leaders can take to build a purpose driven/values based company that also drives top line growth while exhibiting bottom line stewardship. Currently Stacie is the Chief People Officer for the High Growth Ed Tech company CampusLogic, a contributor to Forbes Magazine, a published author, and a speaker through her brand Meraki

Culture.

Leading a dual life has always been an integrated part of Stacie’s path as she has been coaching, teaching, and leading fitness and wellness programs for over 25 years. In 2003, back before wellness was “hip” she was asked to combine her love of culture and wellbeing leading efforts for Caremark to lead initiatives to change habits for employees. Since that time, she has launched programs at every organization as an element of cultural evolution. Today, Stacie Co-owns and operates a popular fitness concept, Blue Republic with her husband and children that integrates nutrition, fitness and recovery allowing her to stay close the latest research and trending on all things wellbeing.

Joseph Clees, JD- Shareholder & Board of Directors, Ogletree Deakins

Joe Clees is a founding shareholder of the Phoenix office of Ogletree Deakins, an employment law firm with over 850 lawyers worldwide. Joe represents management clients throughout the world and holds many leadership roles in the firm, including as a member of Ogletree’s Board of Directors. Before Ogletree, he was the leader of the international employment practice at Bryan Cave.

Joe has been singled out by Chambers USA America’s Leading Lawyers as one of the top labor and employment lawyers in the country for many years and as a “Chambers USA Top Leader in his Field.” Joe has been honored as one of the “100 Most Powerful Employment Lawyers in America” by HR Executive magazine annually from 2009-

2016. In 2013, he was selected as “Phoenix Lawyer of the Year” for Employment Law/Management and again for Labor Law/Management in 2017. In 2014, he was named a Fellow in The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. Joe is a graduate of Dickinson College and the Villanova University School of Law.

Celina Bussey – Cabinet Secretary, NMDWS

Celina Bussey serves as the Cabinet Secretary of the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions where she began her career in state government. Born and raised in Albuquerque, Ms. Bussey received a Bachelor of Arts in political science and communications from the University of New Mexico. The Secretary’s vision for department is to become more engaged with the business community and to promote the vast array of employment-related services and resources. Her vision includes the Department of Workforce Solutions as a leader in and a facilitator of a competitive workforce for the benefit of all New Mexicans.

James Breen – Emergency Planner, Sandia National Labs

James Breen has over 36 years of emergency response experience and served with Albuquerque Fire Department for over 23 years, retiring as the agency’s Fire Chief in 2013. During his tenure as Fire Chief, Jim instituted many reforms that transformed AFD into the premiere emergency response agency that it is today. Jim has extensive experience in Incident Command, Emergency Response Instruction, and Technical Rescue/Urban Search and Rescue Operations, with national response experience at the Pentagon following the 9-11 terrorist attacks and Hurricane Katrina. He is also a former USAF Special Operations Pararesuceman and Military Working Dog handler. As Fire Chief, Jim responded to the Emcore Corporation - Active Shooter Incident on July 12, 2010 resulting in two deceased, four wounded, and 60+ occupants requiring processing/debriefing post threat control

and the St. Jude’s stabbing incident on April 28, 2013, which resulted in four persons being stabbed.

Giovanna Rossi – President and CEO, Collective Action Strategies

Giovanna Rossi is the President and CEO of Collective Action Strategies, LLC, a consulting firm dedicated to improving the lives of women and families through strategic planning, management and communications. Giovanna is also the Founder of Well Woman Life, which supports women to achieve their highest level of fulfillment and wellbeing, and the host of The Well Woman show, a radio show on KUNM 89.9fm and a podcast on iTunes. Giovanna holds a Master of Science degree in Public Policy from the London School of

Economics, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies from the University of New Mexico. She has presented at numerous state and national forums on policy and public health.

Jan Maples - President, The Connecting Point

As President of The Connecting Point, Jan is committed to training programs and Human Resources consulting that teach people to accomplish unprecedented results, communicate powerfully and produce healthy, working relationships among staff and with clients. Her wisdom comes from a synthesis of over 10 years working as an HR professional inside of companies, 15+ years of consulting experience, and academic credentials from UNM in Organizational Communication.

Operating from her personal core values of Relationship, Integrity, Contribution, and Fun, Jan brings a remarkably realistic perspective to how we can lead with civility, respect and compassion to build organizations that we genuinely want to inhabit.

Katie Snapp – Leadership Coach and Founder of Anderson School of Management’s EPEC’s Women’s Leadership Certificate Program

Katie Snapp is a certified leadership coach and expert in communication skills for leadership development. She is also the Founder of Anderson School of Management’s EPEC’s Women’s Leadership Certificate program and has guest instructed in several certificate series. She has published two books on women’s leadership since 2008 and speaks globally as a keynote speaker.

Ms. Snapp holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering as well as a Six Sigma Green Belt certification. She is an ICF Certified Coach (CC) and Licensed and Specialty-Certified in New Life Story Coaches™ Training in the psychology and neuroscience of leadership, and a former Senior Examiner for the state-level Malcolm-Baldrige award at Quality New Mexico. She presently works at Sandia National Labs as a Quality Professional in their defense nuclear non-proliferation programs.

Ramona Wauneka – Director of Human Resources, Fort Defiance Indian Hospital

RaMona Wauneka is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation and is of the ’Ashiihi (Salt People) and the Ta’neeszahnii (Tangle People) clans. She has over 18 years of experience working in the Native Healthcare environment and began her career in Human Resources over 7 years ago. As a new HR professional, RaMona focused her goals on HR leadership, and with a lot of hard work and dedication, RaMona currently serves as the Director of Human Resources for the Fort Defiance Indian Hospital Board, Inc. (FDIHB). RaMona is near completion of her Master’s Degree in Human Relations from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. She holds the National Native American Human Resources Association’s (NNAHRA) Tribal Human Resources Professional (THRP) certification, is a Certified Behavioral Consultant and an Emotional Intelligence trainer.

RaMona’s analytical skills in employee behavior and personality bring a distinctive perspective to Human Resources. RaMona enjoys spending time with her two boys, training for her next marathon and watching her son compete in motocross races.

Eric Weinstein – Resident Managing Director, Aon

Eric is the resident managing director for Aon’s Albuquerque office. In addition to the management of large accounts, Eric leads the office and oversees the operating strategy. Eric works with his clients to access appropriate resources from throughout Aon’s national and global network in order to meet his clients evolving needs, provide key leadership, strategic guidance, and decision-making support. Eric had over 16 years of extensive experience with large clients including analysis of benefit plan mergers, financial impact, plan design impacts, funding arrangements and disruption analysis., Eric combines deep knowledge of the local market with a national market perspective and in 2011 was recognized as one of

New Mexico Business Weekly’s 40 Under Forty. He also plays an active role on several boards including Albuquerque Economic Development and Albuquerque Academy.

Denise Montoya, Ph.D., SHRM SCP, SPHR, President/Owner, P.S. People Strategy, LLC

Dr. Denise Montoya serves as the Director of Human Resources and Payroll and contingent faculty for New Mexico Highlands University (NMHU). She is the President of P.S. People Strategy providing strategic planning, design and implementation of learning cultures, and human resources consulting services to a wide range of organizations. She is an accomplished faculty member and speaker instructing courses at NMHU, UNM Continuing Education, CNM, and ITT Technical Institute.

Dr. Montoya serves as the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) Membership Advisory Council Representative for the Southwest Central Region and the immediate past Director for the SHRM New Mexico

Council (SHRM NM). She served in various roles on the boards for both SHRM NM and the Human Resources Management Association (HRMA) of New Mexico. Dr. Montoya was recognized by Albuquerque Business First as a Women of Influence Honoree in 2015 and was awarded the HR Volunteer of the Year of HRMA New Mexico, presented by SHRM NM in 2011.

Mia Logan, Ph.D. – Organizational Development Consultant, Sandia National Labs

Mia is a CTI trained coach, researcher and works at Sandia National Laboratories as an Organizational Development Consultant. Mia is passionate about supporting people to reach their highest potential. She coaches people in the public and private sectors. A particular strength is building trusted relationships with her customers. She is adept at motivating people to overcome their personal obstacles. Mia believes in strengths-based skill building in which we look for the “best” in people and explores ways in which they can capitalize on their strengths so they can perform at their best. She is very resourceful in that, if there is not a tool to assess the specific need, she will create what is necessary to capture the metrics.

Mia has overcome many adversities in her life. Transformational change was the focus of her dissertation research in which she founded a 6 factor process for making sustainable changes after experiencing a “aha” moment. She believes gratitude and acts of kindness in conjunction with meditation supports long-term happiness. Mia wants to create a movement of paying it forward so we can be impactful in a positive way.

Mia’s 29-year management consulting career has focused on people engineering, human resources, and performance improvement. She earned her BA in Marketing from New Mexico State University and her MA and PhD in Organizational Learning from the University of New Mexico.

Vivian Santistevan - Owner, Taos HR Ganics

Vivian Santistevan is the owner of Taos HR Ganics. She has over 30 years of experience in corporate human resources, strategic partnership, mentorship, employee relations and communications, legal compliance and a history of providing outstanding customer service with innovative adult learning and training. Her experience in dealing with all levels of management as well as employees, gives her an edge in understanding the diverse nature of human resources in any organization. Vivian is an established leader in Native American organizations. She has extensive knowledge of employment law as it relates to the private sector, governmental regulations and Tribal Government sovereignty and self-governance.

Vivian was born and raised in Taos, NM and is the daughter of the late Mayor Lawrence A. Santistevan and Tomasita Chavez-Santistevan. Vivian attended New Mexico Highlands University where she graduated with a Master of Arts degree and her commission as a second lieutenant in the United States Army. She served fifteen years on Active Duty tours around the world until her return to her beloved home town of Taos. In her civilian career, Vivian has established herself as a Human Resources Strategic Partner working for various local businesses and industries. She retired from the US Army after 22 years of service. She enjoys volunteering as a choir director for Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and as a steering committee member for the Taos Coalition to End Homelessness. Vivian serves as the Diversity Director for the New Mexico SHRM State Council.

Elissa O'Brien, MBA, MS, SHRM-SCP – Chief Membership Officer, SHRM

Elissa O'Brien has over 20 years of proven human resource successes with significant strategic human resource leadership experience within diverse industries. She’s a strategist, problem-solver, and proactive business leader with comprehensive Executive Human Resource Management experience with one of the largest, for profit, healthcare systems and one of the largest real estate management and development organizations. Ms. O'Brien led the HR strategies of companies with as many as 25,000 employees, including Global HR experience. Seen as an influential change agent with extensive organizational development expertise, she has been a member of

Prior to joining SHRM, Ms. O'Brien served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Chief HR Officer with WinnCompanies, where she led the creation of strategic initiatives to ensure the effective use of human capital by fostering a shared business vision among diverse groups with varied interests. Prior to joining the WinnCompanies, Elissa served as Head of Corporate Human Resources for Steward Health Care System, LLC. In addition to her work experience, Elissa was an adjunct professor teaching Human Resources Management at Bryant University, a leading business school located in Rhode Island.

Elissa has served in a number of volunteer roles for SHRM, including the Special Expertise Panel on Labor Relations, State Director for the Rhode Island State Council of SHRM and President of the Human Resources Management Association of Rhode Island. She has been an active member of SHRM since 1993. She has testified before the United States Senate committee on H.E.L.P., the U.S. Department of Labor, and was an invited guest speaker at Georgetown University on the issues relating to the government mandates of leaves of absences and workplace flexibility.

Elissa holds a Master in Business Administration and Master of Science Degree in Managerial Technology from Johnson and Wales University, Providence, R.I., and a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Management from Salve Regina University, Newport, R.I.

Margaret Lynch - CHRO, Fort Defiance Hospital

Margaret Lynch currently serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer for the Fort Defiance Indian Hospital Board, Inc. (FDIHB) on the Navajo Nation. Beginning her Human Resources career as an HR Generalist, Margaret has over 17 years of Human Resources experience. As an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, she is the first candidate to complete FDIHB’s Mentorship Advancement Program. She holds the Human Resource Certification Institute’s (HRCI) PHR certification, the Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) SHRM-CP certification, the National Native American Human Resources Association’s (NNAHRA) Tribal Human Resources Professional (THRP) certification and was named NNAHRA’s 2015 HR Professional of the Year. She also served on the Arizona School Personnel Administrators Association Executive Board and on the Executive

Andrea Rivera-Smith, SHRM-SCP - Division Director for Career Services, NM State Personnel Office

Andrea Rivera-Smith has been working in human resources for the last twelve years and has spent the last six years as the Division Director for Career Services at the State Personnel Office. Empowering hiring managers to be meaningful contributors in the recruitment process is one of her favorite parts of her job. Andrea became a SHRM Senior Certified Professional member two years ago. In her free time Andrea loves to practice yoga.

Michael Santillanes - Internship Program Manager, NM State Personnel Office

Michael Santillanes is the Internship Program Manager with the NM State Personnel Office. He joined the New Mexico State Personnel Office in the fall of 2016. Prior to this, Michael served as Education Director (2009-2013) and Associate Director (2013-2016) of YouthWorks, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping opportunity youth with job training, alternative education and other support services. Armando is an Employee Success Advisor for T-Mobile at the Jefferson Call Center in Albuquerque. He graduated from UNM with his BBA with a concentration in Human Resources Management and his MBA with concentration in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management. During his time at UNM he served as the UNM SHRM Student Chapter President. He is currently the VP of Communication for HRMA of NM and Secretary of the NM SHRM State Council.

Blair Boyer, SHRM-CP, PHR, - Director of Human Resources, Dions

Blair R. Boyer has been a resident of the great state of New Mexico since 1970, and has a career in leadership spanning nearly forty years, including the last 17 years in exempt level HR. Blair has spent the last eleven years serving as Director of Human Resources for Dion’s Pizza, a fast, casual restaurant chain employing over 1,600 exceptional people in 23 locations in Colorado, Texas and New Mexico. Prior to Dion’s, Blair served for ten years in multiple roles, including Human Resources, at the America Online call center in Albuquerque. Mr. Boyer is the past President of the Human Resource Management Association of NM and is the SHRM Advocacy Captain for District 1 in NM.

Nicole Capehart- Visiting Lecturer, UNM/Anderson School of Management

Nicole Capehart is a Visiting Lecturer at the University of New Mexico, Anderson School of Management. Nicole teaches Human Resources Management, Diversity, and Leadership. She is also the UNM-SHRM faculty advisor. With a background in both HR and higher education, Nicole works with students to give them tools to be effective HR partners in the workplace. Additionally, Nicole has expertise in personal branding and social media branding, which she integrates into the classroom to teach students how to manage current HR topics and trends such as eRecruitment, and workplace social media policies.

Nicole holds a B.S. in Human Resources Management from the University of Maryland University College, and an MBA with a focus in Human Resources/Organizational Behavior and Strategic Management and Policy from the University of New Mexico.

Shelbie Loomis, Artist and Bank Manager

Shelbie Loomis is a publicly engaged artist and bank manager, who focus her time and efforts on socio-economic research and creates artwork about forgotten social groups such as the local Santa Fe elderly, third-world countries that she has traveled to, and as of late, a socio-economic group called the precariat that includes millennials in the work force. She is engaged with the community by working as an artist-in-residency for inequality and injustice for Santa Fe Art Institute, sits on New Mexico Professional Business Women of Santa Fe executive board which is involved with legislation for equal opportunity for jobs and education for

women. She has traveled to Atlanta, Georgia for a national conference for millennials to address workforce solutions. Loomis graduated Magna Cum Laude from Santa Fe University of Art and Design in 2014 with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts after receiving the first Governor’s Scholarship for full tuition in 2010. Since then she has been honored as a 2013 SITE Santa Fe Scholar, President’s Departmental Award recipient, and was recently awarded the 2017 Young Professional Business Woman of Santa Fe. She hopes to continue conversations about socio-economic, gender, social, and financial norms and include more people of diversity through

education, artwork, and workshops.
