to the aged; from all races & nations! We are blessed with universal love to all God created! Do you see Jesus in the face of a
neighbor? Do you not pray for all who are alive on this earth; either saved or lost and not knowing how to be found yet. Of
course you do. From the politician to the homeless; our hearts open with love for all—agape love!

I am blessed! Donations coming in with those moving or doing fall cleanup. We don’t turn any firsts to develop the minds of all!
Rose Dahlmo donated love-inspired suspense novels, Rae Schmautz donated regular print love-inspired romances. Dubois-
Donahue’s donated many varieties of juvenile ministry novels & DVD’s. Even had day of Rae Schmautz to help me put envelopes
& cards on backs of some of these donations. Had the pleasure of Isabel’s company on most Sundays, Hayden doing “drop box
check”, Maria Whitnack helps put books on their areas on shelves & Rodney Phillips help enter new books to computer on his
birthday. Recently I do so much homework to get this wee room in order that I am in awe when God puts helpers to help. Always
need helpers; some to share in duties and some to take over a Sunday Library times opened to service. See me, Catherine, for
set dates. Scanning is a breath-away now—so close!

a good book for guys who like action movies about Navy Seals. I admire feedback from novels you have read through this Library
and DVD’s you’ve watched. Helps me to scout out more of these when shopping. I would like to see more suggestions or to be
updated. Thanks!
I’ve finished The “Circle” Series: Black, Red, White, Green & am currently reading the series of “Left Behind”. I like to call these:
Thinking-Ahead novels during Java On Deck Times. I found that going through our Library—there are not many names on the
cards borrowed as to those who wish for new books! Please browse your favorite authors—might have something you left
unread.
I have an allergy to cat hair so I ask to vacuum boxes of books donated to this library & brush off hairs for me please! Thanks!
I’m looking for some mini lights to “festive” the room for our next season. Like to have as much needed to go around the
bookcases. Anyone got extras? Thank you.

Share With Us ... Ukraine Inspiration by Warren Kreway
I knew I had Ukrainian blood but never fully understood how this would impact my life in later years. After much encouragement from a life-long Ukrainian friend, Dr. Leighton Nischuk, I decided to seek out my heritage.
In 2014 I traveled to the Ukraine with a medical team to help them and learn about an area of my life that had never been elaborated upon as a child. It was, to say the least, life altering. I arrived in a country that is thousands of years old, a land where my lineage walked, raised family and endured extreme hardships.
I had read about and studied what I could find but not until I walked on the cobblestone roads and immersed myself in the culture did I know who I truly was.
During our stay the medical team asked me to look at some schools in the area. I was introduced as a teacher and even changed my name so the people could say it and feel comfortable with this new and very different man they were encountering. In the Ukraine my name “Warren” could not be comfortably pronounced so I became Ivon Kreway (John Kreway). I was one of their own instantaneously. I knew I was home and finally knew who I was.
On my return to Canada the dream of working with these wonderful and loving people, especially the young students in the schools I encountered, started to take root. As a Robotics teacher here in Canada I felt that somehow this might be the way to “bridge the gap” between Canada and Ukraine. With some fantastic help from a colleague, Steve, we were able to put a plan together to develop and instrument a Robotics bridge. This was also a tool for our students here in Lacombe as they were excited at a chance to help and learn about another culture and students their age.
One student, Chase Bailey, expressed a profound interest in becoming part of this, which led to another trip to Ukraine in 2016. After much planning, cultural experiences such as learning the language and interaction via letters, etc., it became possible for Chase to go with us to Ukraine. Chase was 16 years old but with a depth of maturity that went beyond his years. We immersed our lives into the Ukrainian culture. While there Chase and I developed a bond that is tighter than family. We spent a month in the Ukraine working with different schools and building the bridge of friendship, awareness and family. We took 2 robots and a dream. Although we were uncertain how this would play out, we stepped in and grabbed a hold of this wonderful country.
The day after we arrived a phone call came from a school superintendent that heard we were there to build robots for his students. He asked me if we could come to a school on Monday morning. At the time I did not realize that Ukraine was celebrating a national Holiday (Freedom Day). The country was celebrating for 4 days their freedom from oppression as well as time to reflect and enjoy family. Even though the schools were closed the superintendent surprised me by telling me that the students were very excited to have a chance to learn some new technology and they were willing to come.
We were hooked. Chase and I were dropped off at this school and were greeted by many excited and enthusiastic young students between the ages of 13-18 years. Then we were informed that we had no interpreter and it would be up to us to teach and explain the robotics program. I was very taken aback as my language skills and understanding lacked the refining that I thought it needed. Chase, however, excelled and helped the Ukrainian students to understand and make the robots a reality.

… Share With Us ... The students embraced this opportunity to learn a new technology and they helped me to realize that the bridge between our two cultures was not as daunting as I had feared. Near the end of the day our team of doctors arrived back to pick us up and to their surprise the classroom was alive with laughter, singing and friendships.
At one point during the day a group of young ladies took me aside to ask me a question. “In your country can girls become Engineers?” It was at that instant that I realized that the bridge was complete. I assured them that, “Yes, they can become Engineers or anything they could dream of.” They were very happy, excited and their smiles said it all.
Chase and I returned to Canada with a dream that now was reality. We have spent countless hours working, connecting and making possible a way for our students in Canada, Ukraine, Uganda and wherever we go to dream with us, to be bold and reach out and embrace the world. Together we can grow, learn and succeed at anything we set our minds to.
Ukraine is behind the world in technology, but we can help these students reach out and grasp the hands of others willing to dream with them.
The many students I’ve encountered here in Canada are very determined to make this a reality and in doing so it helps them develop and grow into the kind of leaders that have a grasp on the world and passion to make it happen.
To the students of Ukraine, Canada and Africa, many heartfelt thanks for helping us to grow. We love you all.

… Share With Us ... The Feast of Tabernacles

The LORD is a relational God. He wants to meet with His People.
So He appointed times called The FEASTS OF THE LORD that were every SPRING and every FALL. THE FEASTS were to call His People to remember, respond with offerings, repent and rejoice.
We will focus on the last FEAST in the Fall which is The FEAST OF TABERNACLES. We read about Gods instructions about it in Leviticus 23:33-36. The LORD said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites: on the 15th day of the 7th month, the LORDs FEAST OF TABERNACLES begins, and it lasts for 7 days. The 1st day is a sacred assembly; do no regular work. For 7 days present offerings made to the LORD by fire, and on the 8th day hold a sacred assembly… it is the closing assembly; do no regular work.”
FEAST OF TABERNACLES was a commemoration of GOD’s faithfulness to His People in the wilderness with His Presence during their 40-year wanderings. So He also called this Feast the FEAST OF BOOTHS, in Hebrew SUKKOT, because He commanded His People to live in booths, when they came into the Promised Land. So these booths were and are to this day, a temporary structure with a roof of organic leafy branches built in their yard or on their balconies. They eat their meals out in the booths. They sleep in these open booths with the roof, see through, so they would be reminded of living out under the stars in the wilderness, and remember and relate to their God, with rejoicing for His Provision and His Presence with them.
The FEAST OF TABERNACLES also celebrates the final harvest of wheat before winter, and is therefore also known as the FEAST OF INGATHERING. It was the only FEAST in which the Israelites were commanded by God to rejoice!!! Read about that in Deuteronomy 16:13-15
But you may reply, That is in the Old Testament!
Read on in early New Testament times, this Feast was a major celebration, often referred to simply as THE FEAST.
It incorporated great ceremonies using water and light. Jesus (in Hebrew is YESHUA) CELEBRATED this feast, as recorded in John 7:2 “About half way through the FEAST, YESHUA went up to the Temple and began teaching.” Read onto verse 37, On the last and greatest day of the FEAST, YESHUA stood up and cried out loudly, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture says, Out of his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.” This water ceremony is still performed in todays celebration of the FEAST.
GODs PROPHETIC PLAN IS UNFOLDING as 1000 Christians from every land CAME UP TO JERUSALEM to CELEBRATE the FEAST OF TABERNACLES with song, dance, praise and worship in accordance with Zechariah 14:16. “Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem WILL GO UP YEAR AFTER YEAR to WORSHIP THE KING, THE LORD ALMIGHTY, and to CELEBRATE The FEAST OF TABERNACLES.” That was in 1980 with 32 nations under the leadership of the INTERNATIONAL CHRISTIAN EMBASSY in JERUSALEM.
TODAY, in its 40th year of CELEBRATING The FEAST OF TABERNACLES, 91 nations with 7000 Christians and Jews will COME UP TO JERUSALEM to worship their God, with the theme “BEGINNINGS”. Missions (Kandangamas) …
We are on Canadian soil.
Hey everyone! So as we write to you we are in Canada with our three kids in tow traveling from place to place. We arrived here August 5th in Edmonton after a wonderful 32 hours of travel. Then continued to travel via a van lent to us by wonderful friends, all the way to northern BC. There we spent some time connecting with family and friends, performed a wedding for our youngest brother, and made connections to current and possible supporting churches. It sounds like a lot, and it was, but we had a great time. Now we are currently in Alberta, doing relatively the same, while adding in the start of our kid’s second year of homeschooling. On literally the other side of the world, where our usual life happens, the Bud Centre continues to function in our absence. Thanks to the wonderful team of staff we have to carry on all our responsibilities. Which has been such an answer to prayer. We have an attendance of usually 20 to 30 kids daily and they have done many creative and new fun stuff over the last month. Please stand with us in prayer over the safety and protection over our staff and the Centre kid’s while we are so far from them.
We have a lot of things looking ahead to the next few weeks and months. We could really use your prayers for safety, direction, peace, and endurance to run the race that is set before us. Here are some of our current care’s, concern’s and needs. Please consider the fact that if you received this email its a request to assist us in at least one of the following ways. We are on a mission to raise support to help keep the Bud Centre ministry functioning. If you, your family, or a church would like to bless us with a monthly support it would make an impact in the lives of those we are reaching.

… Missions (Komants) The Komants in Burundi
2019
On June 1st Elmer and Sherry Komant handed the torch of leadership to a team of local pastors at Christian Life Ministries in Burundi. Elmer and Sherry’s primary role has changed to that of mentor and coaches.
The third church plant, another campus in the capital city of Bujumbura, is presently in process. A sea container that is weighted with a new tent top for the same large tent structure used in Kigali, is ready to be shipped. The Komants will oversee the physical set up and partner with the local pastors to establish this branch church.
Pray that there will be favour with God and man as the resilient tent poles, stakes, and other components are shipped from Rwanda to Burundi, that the sea container from Edmonton will travel safely and be cleared quickly, and that land will be ready.
The Wezesha Micofinance program for vulnerable women is flourishing with 1500 ladies gratefully participating in this life - giving method of making a difference for large sections of the community in Bujumbura.
Please pray that many of these women will not only be empowered in supporting their families, but above all, receive transformation through accepting Christ into their lives.
The Komants are deeply grateful to all that have, and continue to make these endeavours possible in one of the world’s poorest countries.

What About Church Membership?
“I don’t have to go to church to be saved. I don’t have to belong to a church to be a Christian. I can worship God in my heart.” Have you heard this popular dodge? It’s sometimes difficult to refute because it happens to be true … to a point. Nothing you do and nothing you can join makes you a Christian. The Bible makes it abundantly clear that Jesus is the only Way; that no-one comes to the Father except through Him. Q: What does the Bible say about church membership? A: The Bible is very clear that involvement in, and commitment to, a local church are essential for Christians. Throughout the New Testament the pattern of the Christian is to meet in local congregations (eg. Acts 2:46, 1 Corinthians 14:26, Ephesians 4:16, 1 Timothy 3:15). At some points we are commanded to do so (eg. Hebrews 10:25). Even Saul/Paul in Acts 9:26 – “When he came to Jerusalem he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he really was a disciple.” Having said that, it is true that the Bible nowhere requires membership in a church. In fact, in Biblical times there was no such thing. However, the Biblical principle is that the church is a family and a unit. The Bible speaks of the church as a family, or the household of God. Church membership is not like joining a country club; it is about joining an organic family. Church membership is a way of being accountable and becoming involved in the church and in demonstrating a commitment to Christ by participation in the church. Q: I’m committed to our church, so what difference does it make if I am a member or not? A: “Times have changed from years ago when you could have a loose relationship with the church. Our society and our laws have changed.” There are a number of key differences between people who just attend with no strings attached and the actual church member. There seems to be a deeper sense of belonging and often a higher level of commitment from the people who step out and want to be members. They are more ready to shoulder responsibility and encourage the ethos of the church. Members have the right to vote at church business meetings. This is possibly not the most exciting thing you’ve ever been able to do, but it does allow you to have a say in what the church does and how it functions. Only church members can vote for deacons (lead team members) and Lead Pastor when a new lead pastor is to be called. Only church members can raise queries and make proposals about issues at a church business meeting. They are able to vote and add input to the sale or purchase of land or buildings for the church. If you would like to have a voice in the way that our church is run and the things that it does you need to have a vote, and to have a vote, you need to be a church member. A knowledge of which people are willing to publicly associate themselves with the church by becoming members assists the church leadership in planning and effectively running the church. APPLICATION FOR FELLOWSHIP STATUS
Article 6 Membership
Section 1
Persons desiring to become members of this church shall give credible profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior. They shall give evidence of compliance with the Biblical standard of Christian practice and manifest spiritual growth by giving evidence of the Fruit of the Spirit: “Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22,23 NIV)
They shall refrain from acts of sinful nature: “… sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies and the like...” (Galatians 5:19-21 NIV) Sexual immorality shall be interpreted to mean common-law marital relationships, pre-marital and extra-marital sexual relationships (1 Corinthians 6:15-18, 7:1-2, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8, Hebrews 13:4), and all forms of homosexual activity, along with other practices deemed inexcusable for Christian conduct, and which place a person under God’s judgment (Romans 1:26-2:11).
They shall indicate a desire to live in harmony with this body of believers, shall accept the doctrinal standards as set forth in the Statement of Fundamental and Essential Truths, and shall be regular financial supporters of this local church.
Section 2
Membership shall consist of the following:
1. Regular Members. Persons 18 years of age and over who fulfill the requirements of Article 6.1 shall be known as regular members.
2. Junior Members. Persons between the ages of 12 and 18 who fulfill the requirements of Article 6.1 may be eligible for junior membership. Such membership does not qualify for voting privileges at congregational business meetings.
