Each year, the Chamber acknowledges excellence in its business community by recognizing outstanding leaders during
the annual Founder's Day Banquet. Business of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, The Scout Award, and multiple community leader
awards for 2018 were presented at the Chamber’s 118th Founder's Day Banquet on November 2, 2018.

ensure the Community of Cody will prosper as the premier westernlocation for business and travel through our ongoing advocacy.
Cody Country Chamber of Commerce
The 38th Annual Buffalo Bill Art Show& Sale, which benefits the Buffalo BillCenter of the West and the Chamberof Commerce, generated more than $1 million in total art sales. The grossrevenue from the events, to includesponsorships, art and ticket sales, isestimated at $1.4 million. There wereover 900 people in attendance betweenthe live auction, Friday, September20th, and the Quick Draw, Saturday,September 21st. This year, nearly 80 ofour 106 artists were in attendance.
As a longstanding tradition for theCody Community and our Chambermembership, we hosted 17 Cody ClubLuncheons and Roundtables. We had avariety of community leaders andprofessionals present to include theCity of Cody, Park CountyCommissioners, Homeland Security,Cody Yellowstone, Small BusinessAlliance, and Forward Cody to name afew. Our 2019 Roundtable seriesfocused on marketing and coveredtopics such as social media,advertising, cybersecurity, andmarketing risk and response.

The Cody Events Committeevolunteers devoted countless hoursto coordinate quality communityevents that promote Cody's uniquecultural heritage. This year's eventsincluded Cody's Annual Pub Crawl,Horsin' Around Cody, Trick or TreatDowntown Cody, Cody CowboyChristmas Stroll and Lighted Paradeand the Santa House.
visitor centerIn 2019, the Cody Visitor Center was a recipient of Park County TravelCouncil's lodging tax grant. This year, our Visitor Center welcomed over120k visitors to the Cody Community. The staff at the Cody Visitor Center isvery knowledgeable about our area and attractions and the resourcesavailable to them as they assist travelers. Every spring, they participate inthe Recommend Cody Tour to experience the attractions firsthand such asthe Buffalo Bill Dam Visitor Center, Cody Firearms Experience, CodyStampede Rodeo, Cody Theatre, Cody Cattle Company, Cody HeritageMuseum, Old Trail Town, and The Historic Cody Mural to name a few.
The most requested information pertains to lodging, food and beverage,local attractions, and outdoor recreation opportunities, as well as, road,travel and weather information. The Visitor Center staff distributed 19kWyoming Highway maps, 8.5k Cody Yellowstone Field Guides, and 2.5kExperience Yellowstone Planners produced by Xanterra. This year, we hadvisitors sign our guestbook from 49 states and 28 countries.

Live After 5 is a social business after hours function that aims toprovide businesses with exposure andnetworking opportunities. In 2019, there were 11 Live After 5 functions, 9 hosted by local chamber businessesand 2 hosted at the Chamberduring the summer months for easyaccess to the Concerts in the Parkseries. Direct benefits for the hostbusiness have included increasedreach, increased exposure, customerrelations management and networkingand partnership opportunities.
The Chamber of Commerce alsohosts several annual events that arenot committee driven and designedto benefit our members andcommunity. This year, we hosted the6th Annual Park n' Pancakescommunity breakfast in celebrationof the East Gate opening. Thiscoincides with our annual membersonly shred event. During the week ofJuly 4th, visitors enjoy our annual artsand crafts fair Wild West Arts Fest.
goals for 2020Cody was selected by the Wyoming Business Council and University ofWyoming Extension in 2019 to participate in a Community Review. Thishas been an amazing opportunity for our community to receive expertinsight and guidance on creating a locally driven vision for our future.
In 2020, the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce will implement astrategic doing plan to help our membership and business communitytackle recurrent issues addressed in our community review process such asworkforce development, year-round economy and travel and tourism.
In addition, our organization will focus on internal development to includeemployee education and accreditation opportunities, membershipincentive programs and membership growth and retention.
