population of 30,000 or less. Utilities can’t opt out.• Cost Sharing
– Small Utility – Highway Project to bear all relocation costs– Large Utility – Up to 4% of the construction bid amount. Pro rata if
multiple large utilities.– Large & Small Utilities on same project – 100% of small utility’s cost
& up to 4.5% of original bid amount minus the small utility’s costs for large utility’s costs.
• Drawings and documents must be submitted 180 days prior to the letting date

• Approximately $20 Million anticipated per year for bridge preservation and rehabilitation projects
