The LaneSense system will indicate the currentlane drift condition through the instrument clusterdisplay. The instrument cluster display will pro-vide a visual warning depicting the unintentionallane departure.

ally override the haptic warning by applying torqueinto the steering wheel at any time. When only asingle lane marking is detected and the driverunintentionally drifts across the lane marking (noturn signal applied), the LaneSense system pro-vides a visual warning through the instrumentcluster display to prompt the driver to remainwithin the lane. Forward Collision Warning WithMitigation — If EquippedThe Forward Collision Warning (FCW) system pro-vides the driver with active braking, audible andvisual warnings [within the instrument cluster dis-play] and may apply a brake jerk to warn the driverwhen it detects a potential frontal collision. Thewarnings and limited braking are intended to pro-vide the driver with enough time to react and avoidor mitigate the potential collision.

FCW monitors the information from the forward-looking sensor, as well as the Electronic BrakeController (EBC) to calculate a probable collision. When the system determines that a collision isprobable, a warning message (both audible andvisual) will be displayed within the cluster displayalong with a brake jerk warning (previously en-abled in the Uconnect Settings). When the systemsenses the driver applying the brakes to avoid aprobable collision, additional brake force will beprovided to the vehicle. When the system deter-mines a collision with the vehicle in front of you isno longer probable, the warning message will bedeactivated.

NOTE:The FCW feature can be customized and turnedoff through the Uconnect System touchscreen.
