In AutoStick, the transmission will shift up ordown when (+/–) is selected by the driver (usingthe shift paddles) unless an engine lugging oroverspeed condition would result. It will remain inthe selected gear until another upshift or down-shift is chosen, except as described below:

    • In AutoStick, the transmission will remain inthe selected gear even when maximum enginespeed is reached. The transmission will upshiftonly when commanded by the driver.

  • Forward Collision Warning WithMitigation — If Equipped

The Forward Collision Warning (FCW) system canprovide the driver with active braking, audible andvisual warnings (within the instrument cluster dis-play) and may apply a brake jerk to warn the driverwhen it detects a potential frontal collision. Thewarnings and limited braking are intended to pro-vide the driver with enough time to react and avoidor mitigate the potential collision.

The system status can be selected to: “Off”, “OnlyWarning”, and “Warning & Braking”. “Warning &Braking” status with “Medium” sensitivity are thedefault settings, but can be changed within theUconnect settings under “Safety and Driving As-sistance”.

FCW monitors the information from the forward-looking sensor, as well as the Electronic BrakeController (EBC) and wheel speed sensors, to calcu-late the probability of a collision. When the systemdetermines that a collision is probable, a warningmessage (both audible and visual) will be displayed

within the cluster display along with a brake jerkwarning (previously enabled in the Uconnect Set-tings). When the system senses the driver applyingthe brakes to avoid a probable collision, additionalbrake force will be provided to the vehicle. When thesystem determines a collision with the vehicle infront of you is no longer probable, the warningmessage will be deactivated.

NOTE:The FCW feature can be customized and turnedoff through the Uconnect System touchscreen.

For further information, and applicable warningsand cautions, please refer to the Owner’s Manualat www.mopar.com/en-us/care/owners-manual.html(U.S. Residents) or www.owners.mopar.ca (Cana-dian Residents).

LaneSense — If EquippedThe LaneSense system is operational at speedsabove 37 mph (60 km/h) and below 112 mph(180 km/h). The LaneSense system uses a forwardlooking camera to detect lane markings and measurevehicle position within the lane boundaries.

    Turning LaneSense On Or Off

The default status of LaneSense is “off”. TheLaneSense button is located on the center stack.

    LaneSense Warning Message

The LaneSense system will indicate the currentlane drift condition through the instrument clusterdisplay. The instrument cluster display will pro-vide a visual warning depicting the unintentionallane departure.

When both lane markings are detected and thedriver unintentionally drifts out of the lane (no turnsignal applied), the LaneSense system provides ahaptic warning in the form of torque applied to thesteering wheel to prompt the driver to remainwithin the lane boundaries. The driver may manu-ally override the haptic warning by applying torqueinto the steering wheel at any time. When only asingle lane marking is detected and the driverunintentionally drifts across the lane marking (noturn signal applied), the LaneSense system pro-vides a visual warning through the instrument

    • The six ParkSense sensors, located in the frontfascia/bumper, monitor the area in front of thevehicle that is within the sensors’ field of view.

    • The rear sensors can detect obstacles fromapproximately 12 inches (30 cm) up to79 inches (200 cm) from the rear bumperwhile the vehicle is in REVERSE, while thefront sensors can detect obstacles from ap-proximately 12 inches (30 cm) up to 47 inches(120 cm) from the front fascia/bumper in the

horizontal direction, depending on the loca-tion, type and orientation of the obstacle. Whenan obstacle is detected, a warning will displayin the instrument cluster and a chime willsound (when Sound and Display is selectedfrom the Customer Programmable Featuressection of the Uconnect System screen).
