Students of different nationalities are placed with students of a different mother tongue in our Host Families to ensure that they further develop their English language skills while they are in England.

Each week is packed with lessons and a full range of activities and excursions. Sundays are spent with the Host Family so the student gets to experience the English culture and traditional English way of life.

For our Summer school students, we have family homestay accommodation based around the Brighton area including Hove, Shoreham by Sea, Worthing, Lancing and Steyning.

We offer a good variation of afternoon activities together with one evening activity per week either an evening at the Brighton Pier funfair or a disco evening where students from our school can integrate with students of other language schools. The venue is prepared especially for the underage students and guardians are there to look after their health and safety during the party. Please note that on all excursions and activities groups are always accompanied by ELH activity leader in a ratio of minimum 1:10.

Football academy with English 2019

The football coaching is conducted in English by our FA qualified coaches, at our local coaching facilities with excellent equipment and professional quality pitches.

Our programmes have been balanced to include a high level of training, education and recreation. We will cover technical circuits, individual techniques, goal keeping, free kicks, corners, dribbling, speed cage radar, quick feet challenge, target net, Kix cubes etc, rules and fair play, all leading to a football match with a local team.

Brighton is an English seaside resort town. About an hour south of London by train, it’s a popular summer destination. Its broad shingle beach is backed by amusement arcades and Regency-era buildings.

Brighton Pier, in the central waterfront section, opened in 1899 and now has rides and food kiosks. The town is also known for its nightlife, arts scene, shopping and festivals.

What to expect on a Short-Stay course:• A great base for exploring the UK. Our

south coast locations are all within easy day trip reach of London, Portsmouth and Hastings. Our Cornwall locations are perfect for exploring the south west and our Edinburgh base is at the heart of Scotland.

• Friendly and experienced host families. Welcoming host families with guest rooms perfect for students and providing home cooked meals.

Short Stays with lessons are very popular and can be booked at our Brighton and Eastbourne Centres:

Our English lessons are based mainly around speaking and listening and a small amount of grammar. Teachers will incorporate lots of conversation together with communicative activities, role play and drama. Our aim is to build confidence in vocabulary and pronunciation.

Students will also read authentic material such as newspaper & magazine articles, learning about idioms, phrasal verbs and paraphrasing to include the main points. Lessons are fun yet informative thus keeping the attention of the class.

Students will be able to face English exams with the confidence built from their learning in Brighton. There will never be a dull moment because lessons will more than grab your attention.

Exam English is aimed at serious learners of at least CEFR B1 level who are working towards exams such as IETLS,PET or FCE.

A two week intensive learning programme in small groups of a maximum of 5 students and a teacher.6 hours of lessons per day (24 hours per week) and 2 full day excursions per week.

This is a great opportunity for serious learners to make the most of small classes and great teachers.

This English Course is a wonderful Parent and Children Course where you live with your English Teacher in their own home. The teacher will be happy to deal with English at all levels which means that you can have Family English; Business English; English for Young Learners. In fact English in any combination you desire.

We have found that living learning English is the quickest way to progress your English both written and spoken. Family holidays can be taken around this with structured afternoon activities twice a week with your English teacher. Additionally, they will take you out once a week for a full days excursion to help you study English as well as learn about the country you chose to learn it in. Speaking English with your teacher is a great way to improve without realising it.

High School Programme in England is a great way to improve your English in an academic environment, living with an English Host Family and participating fully in an English High School, from their lessons to their sports and their after school Clubs. Its total Immersion, all the way. If you are interested in High school study abroad in England then we can help.

Normally Students attend for a period of between one term to a full school year. Shorter stays are sometimes available but will depend on the school programmes and availability.

All of these UK High Schools are very well versed in how to welcome International Students from abroad and make them feel safe and secure.  On your first day you will be introduced to a “ Buddy” who will show you around the school; take you to the canteen; help you with the Timetable and generally be your friend for the first week or so.  Schools in the United Kingdom are either State Schools or Private Schools.

Most European students would come and study “ free” at a State School. At an English State School you need to study until you are at least 18. You can not leave full time education before this time. There are many excellent state schools so do not think that because you are not paying, that the school education system is inferior. This is simply not true! If students stay on until they are 18 it is usually because they take A levels – Advanced Levels and want to attend University. Otherwise they look for a job or go to vocational colleges.

Your High School in England will be one looked after by the UK Education Authorities so you know that they will follow an agreed and recognised curriculum. They will have standards and performances to meet and this ensures that the school in England you study in, fits all the right criteria to help you progress in English. Lessons will include all of the important subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Foreign Languages and of course Sport, Music, Drama and “ cookery” for fun.
