*Observatory open every Saturday between May 25th and August 10th, 2019

Between May 25th and August 10th, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, the Observatory is open to the public every Saturday for Sungazing. It is also a community event.

We welcome everyone to observe the Sun with us. We only use specialty filtered astronomical telescopes for safe solar viewing.

Our 3rd Annual Yukon Star Party will be held on August 24 -25, 2019, at the RASC Yukon Centre Observatory. Detailed program schedule will be announced.

Expected to be held on September 20-22, 2019, and details will be announced.

The RASC Yukon Centre Observatory is located on the hill behind the Takhini Hot Pools and is accessible by feet. It takes about five (5) minutes of walk from the main parking lot of the Takhini Hot Pools to the Observatory, including a short steep walk

uphill. During the summer, we provide road access for people with disabilities.

Entry by donation only. Suggested minimum donation is $2/person.

Members of the Yukon Astronomical Society may enter free of charge.

The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada administers the membership for the Yukon

Astronomical Society (RASC Yukon Centre. Membership available at www.rasc.ca when choosing “Yukon Centre” during the registration process.
