What are the six parts to a recipe? A well- written recipe needs

the following.

A title that names the dish.

A list of ingredients - foods used in the recipe

The yield (the number of servings or amount the recipe will

make) - amount/measurement of each ingredient used in the

recipe.

Temperature and Time - Cooking time: how long to cook the

food, should be specific.

Container size and Type

Step by step directions. - usually listed or numbered in order. Tells you how and when to use the ingredients and assemble the

dish.
